sounds like everything that i'm not - I would only sleep with someone I've been dating and I feel like there is potential for marriage (only one guy in my life) I go all out with my appearance: hair mu etc, i hate getting shit faced, i love hugging and holding hands and i expect the man to pay on the first date.
I think that 'sex before coffee' attitude is more about some young people not Danes in general. When I was younger, it was all about getting a bit drunk to get over inhibitions and I sometimes had the attitude of getting sex over and one with so we could go out. Now I realize this is not the way! That's just about a lack of self-confidence. If you do that as a woman, the man is not going to be as interested than if you wait a bit and let the tension increase. It just gives the impression you'd do that with anyone.
do they really have sex and then decide on going on a date or not? that's interesting! in my country people lose interest if u have sex on the first date
As a Dane: Many do lose interest if you're that "loose" aswell. Idk I'm from a different region than these people and we might be more reserved but in general, Danes tend to be too physical IMO before emotional stuff.
svwtsvfcb completely agree. don't expect women to cook, clean, to keep a good home, and take care of the kids? fine. then go to work, kill pests, fix the car, the fence, anything else that needs fixing, etc. yourself... lol trash
+Mandar Sane Here's the thing. Pretty sure they do do those traditionally male things. They're used to not going to get a dude to do those things for them and just doing them themselves.
Altrantis maybe a small percentage. the rest hire someone, usually a man to do it: they call the exterminator they have a mechanic they call the lawn GUY etc women, many women if not most, don't want to get their hands dirty because they don't have to. the only expectations society has of women are: to be pretty to be skinny to be nice to be supportive to be sex objects for men to be mothers literally everything else men are expected to do. that's why a lot of guys know how to do manual labor tasks as well as purely intellectually driven tasks, but women for the most part only know intellectually driven tasks. they expect men to help them but tell men not to expect women to do traditionally female tasks. it makes them useless really. unless a woman is fucking you or raiding your kids, there's no point in even having her around bc you are expected to do everything while she gets to choose whether she behaves traditionally feminine or not. why would any man want to put up that extra burden in his life?
Considering that with each new partner your brain get reprogrammed further and further away from a chance to have a stable family relationship some time - good choice =) The West is doomed.
Hehe yeah, it's pretty much 180 degrees from Italy. Every culture has it's ups and downs probably, and I think it's always interesting to experience unfamiliar social norms :)
Luckly, culture and stereotypes do not consider all the cases. Idk any danish, but I know some other scandinavian people who behave more Italian than I do lol. Every person is completely different from the others, and also when the couple is mixed (nationality) very often both agree to compromises between the two cultures and personality of the persons.
While I am uneasy about the effect the behavior might have, I can appreciate the attitude. In many cultures there are many names given to women who 'sleep around' but no such names are commonly given to men. In this culture at least men and women are equal and seemingly no negative connotation is assigned to the act.
"Sex before coffee? theyre all whores!" As a - asexual - dane id like to explain this a little more. In Dk sex is not a taboo, its a need for all genders. But sex does not equal love. But were also a quite reserved people, sure we wanna help strangers, but we do not like smalltalk. So danes go out for a beer or more, loosen up, and get their need satisfied. Of course not everyone hooks up on the first night of meeting, but most danes do not hold hands before haing sex. Love is something special for danes, its funny to see other cultures throw love around, danes dont do that, instead they have few very deep connections. Danes have more lifetime friends than other cultures. After months of hanging out and hooking up, then a relationship can bloom, and first at that point they will go out on "real" dates and hold hands for example. Ive heard from people from other cultures that it seems like danes relationships in their youth are fewer but longer. We dont jump into relationships just to be in it, but people have a need for sex as humans that needs to bwe satisfied, but when a great person shows up we will be with them for a longer time. As a asexual Its hard in the start of a relationship in Dk, but once youre in one you have a very loyal partner that you know is comitted to you, and i very much like that culture actually.
As a Dane I wouldn't recommend dating Danish girls, most, if not all I've met here in Copenhagen feel entitled and talk constantly about how relationships are about compromise, yet they won't compromise themselves at all. Also that is not an exaggeration, I've met women who claim I was sexist since I wanted her to get to work on a project instead of constantly take breaks. My best relationship were with a Japanese girl and several people I know just stop dating Danish girls since they are constantly talking about how they can do everything themselves. There was even state sponsored television programs about why so many Danish men go to Thailand and places like that, when there aren't a lack of "free women" back in Denmark. Obviously, despite these guys being very happy with their, a lot of the time beautiful. wives, it was concluded it was because they were losers. I knew an old hippie she told me that the problem for Danish men is that the women want a house cat by day and a lion by night. Which is pretty much two different people, in most cases.
I read somewhere that Danish women have no issue asking out men. Did it not bother you that in order to win over women from conservative countries, you have to flirt, compliment, tease and make first move on them?
@@siddharthtripathi5806 Well this is like a 4 year old post but no, it never bothered me, in fact I prefer it that way. When dealing with Danish women I've experienced far more awkward situations if I were the one who asked first than with Asian or Middle-Eastern women. I think the dating scene in Denmark is incredibly awkward, there is simply too much confusion about who does what. I also think a lot of women are not as confident in being the "aggressors" as they claim and so you end up with situations where stuff goes nowhere and it becomes pretty awkward. My opinion on the entitlement aspect haven't changed, in fact it's only gotten worse. As the ideas of male privilege and political correctness are being copied from the US. Which is just chocking out Danish culture that were all about pushing the boundaries. So I don't see myself dating a Danish woman again and I've plans of finding a job in another country as well.
@@siddharthtripathi5806 From personal experience... Men. I don't have the statistics right here though, although there no doubt are some as Denmark is pretty famous for keeping tons of statistics on damn near everything. So I could be wrong.
Actually a lot of the young adults, teens and the ages in between are trying to make a different view, at the drinking culture that we have. We have campaignes, influencers and many young people trying to chance the view we have on drinking, like it’s okay to stay sober at a party, and it’s okay never even to drink, people are beginning to chance it, so it’s okay not to drink. Aaand you will still be accepted and 100% not judged. But again many does get a bit tipsy on the first date bc Danes are mostely really shy.
@Radek OM People are mixed everywhere. In Scandinavia there are many Sami people and people of Irish, Dutch and Slavic origins. The Dutches aren't Germans at all: usually too much tall, with large nose and curly and reddish hair. In UK people are mostly Red not Always blond. However the Red people in UK are mostly of Celtic origins and are however Pure White
Danish guy here I now know what I have been doing wrong for all these years, I have been watching "american" dating videos, I had no idea about this! xD But yeah, it's kind of really weird, but apparently people are very reserved here and don't want to have personal relationships with people if possible, that only comes after knowing each other for years... It is really fucking weird in my opinion...
Old norms: hard to get sex but easy to get into relationship. New norm: easy to get sex but near impossible into relationship. That happens all across the modern world.
I'm Danish and all of my friends that are in relationships became good friends with their partners long before they became a couple. I don't know where she (the interviwer) finds all these 'sex before coffee' people ...
I checked this out to see how things lined up with my experiences of courting and being married to a Dane for 33 years. The modern world has made it's inroads. There was once a lot more getting to know a Danish woman before sex. That being said, once you got her engine revving there was no holding back.
You can't talk to people in the sober light of day but by all means have drunken sex with a stranger. Yall are on the wrong side of this dating strategy.
Finally someone summarised all their weirdness in one video 😆 Extremely attractive people, always fancied tall blonde guys, but I guess their marriages remind me of flatmates... sort of co-existence ... and sex before coffee sounds a bit primitive, compared to building up a connection, depth and spiking the interest without alcohol 😉
If it helps most danish couples actually start out as friends, then they have a drunken hookup (maybe multiple) and THEN they go out for coffee and start actually "dating"/be in a relationship. This is what happened to me and most of my friends that are in a relationship
@@Maria-nd8dy Would taking alcohol out of the equation affect the relationship building? I kind of agree with the OP. It reminds me of caveman times. But, I guess when you give humans 100% freedom the would act like that.

"dating" is relatively new here, because of American movies. You just kind of get together. The Danish accent mixed with a very limited practical experience does make them sound... well, Danish accent in general isn't that charming :P
Sex is so casual and women don't embrace their femininity, i would definitely not be able to fit in. I would love to one day get married and take care of my husband and kids, why is this so stigmatized.
I honestly I like the girl groups thinking. I’m American and I honestly made some men mad by paying my own meals, and things I want for myself on a date. Anybody can sleep with anybody, but if you want to KNOW me; there has to be some effort or mutual connection. It’s how I’ve always thought. I guess I’m Danish at heart 😂
Sex before coffee, that is so messed up. No wonder when I met a woman from Denmark, she said the dating scene sucks and couldn't wait to leave Denmark. She was trying desperately to move to another country.

Love you danes! You are the best of scandinavia. Greetings from spain!
sounds like everything that i'm not - I would only sleep with someone I've been dating and I feel like there is potential for marriage (only one guy in my life) I go all out with my appearance: hair mu etc, i hate getting shit faced, i love hugging and holding hands and i expect the man to pay on the first date.
I wish I find girls who think like you in my life
Same here that is why I stay single... Most of men are not serious.
"I'm only in 8th grade so i'm not into girls right now" 😂😂
gay indeed lmao
Lol sex is on your mind 90% of the time at that age. Definitely not into girls, nor will he ever be
In his 8th grade class, the majority of the girls already have had a double-digit number of partners
Heim á Húgr it might be better to test if you're compatible i guess
jeremy emilio that's sexual assault
Amalia Boura The same in my country. That is why women have to play hard to get because we want a serious relationship but some men are horrible.
jeremy emilio you are gross

I'd love to see more videos like this one! One in Russia, Norway or Poland.
Don't feel like dating in Scandinavia after watching this video and the other one...
svwtsvfcb completely agree.
don't expect women to cook, clean, to keep a good home, and take care of the kids?
fine.
then go to work, kill pests, fix the car, the fence, anything else that needs fixing, etc. yourself...
lol
trash
how disturbing was this video...seriously..."don't expect women to take care of their kids?" what is this world turning into?
+Mandar Sane Here's the thing. Pretty sure they do do those traditionally male things. They're used to not going to get a dude to do those things for them and just doing them themselves.
Altrantis maybe a small percentage. the rest hire someone, usually a man to do it:
they call the exterminator
they have a mechanic
they call the lawn GUY
etc
women, many women if not most, don't want to get their hands dirty because they don't have to.
the only expectations society has of women are:
to be pretty
to be skinny
to be nice
to be supportive
to be sex objects for men
to be mothers
literally everything else men are expected to do. that's why a lot of guys know how to do manual labor tasks as well as purely intellectually driven tasks, but women for the most part only know intellectually driven tasks.
they expect men to help them but tell men not to expect women to do traditionally female tasks.
it makes them useless really.
unless a woman is fucking you or raiding your kids, there's no point in even having her around bc you are expected to do everything while she gets to choose whether she behaves traditionally feminine or not.
why would any man want to put up that extra burden in his life?
Altrantis raising, not raiding
Sex before coffee. XD
Considering that with each new partner your brain get reprogrammed further and further away from a chance to have a stable family relationship some time - good choice =) The West is doomed.
I hope it was a joke about "reprogrammed brain".
Анастасия Корр Social studies.
Its very true, the more people you sleep with the more likely you are to end up alone.
i think that's why we're the happiest poeple in the world
Love the Danish People. They do not play games and are not superficial and positve.
so all along I've been dating Danish-style and never knew it...interesting.
a.k.a. slutty style....
Honestly... I don't like this Danish culture of love.
Every person is completely different from the others, and also when the couple is mixed (nationality) very often both agree to compromises between the two cultures and personality of the persons.
you are right i'm from Portugal and i behave like a Swedish or Danish, but i would pay the first date to be a gentleman
While I am uneasy about the effect the behavior might have, I can appreciate the attitude. In many cultures there are many names given to women who 'sleep around' but no such names are commonly given to men. In this culture at least men and women are equal and seemingly no negative connotation is assigned to the act.
neither do I -comming from a dane
Sex is their cup of coffee 😂😅
It's a Scandinavian thing! Anyway imma Norwegian.
Vilena Banana Only the hippies Danes!
"Sex before coffee? theyre all whores!"
As a - asexual - dane id like to explain this a little more.
I dated outside Denmark. My problem with Danish boys: most of them are too fast before a real relationship... 😥
I hope there will be more if this how not to date, really liked it :D
One coming next week :)
Cool, looking forward to it :D
I mean WTF. Use proper punctuation please, I could barely read your text.
@@six2make4 In Denmark who are dating foreigners more, men or women?
@@siddharthtripathi5806 From personal experience... Men. I don't have the statistics right here though, although there no doubt are some as Denmark is pretty famous for keeping tons of statistics on damn near everything. So I could be wrong.
The faces those dudes made when that one guy said he wad not into women right now 😂
They probably though he turnt gay for a moment🤣
Favourite video by far,I died from laughter.Danish guys are cute.
Wow. Guess this will be a good new series then
Thank you.
I don't drink, I love dressing colorfully and I don't have s*x outside of relationships, oh no one in Denmark would like me 😂😅
Actually a lot of the young adults, teens and the ages in between are trying to make a different view, at the drinking culture that we have.
How are they all so hot ?
Love these videos btw, so interesting to see the contrast between the cultures
Viking genes;)
Thanks so much for the kind words
They are hot as hell. Love it. Love Danish guys.
Viking genes? Imma viking lol
I love how they're so independent
1:24 this man is beautiful, damnnn :3
OhheyitsSoumy But can't marry to a Muslim lady as they don't want to convert to Islam which is the most illiberal ideology af!
+strongyang chill i didn't say i wanted to marry him, i just said he's cute... holy shit
I was looking for this comment hahahs
strongyang wtf dude
@@strongyang we dont force the religion im a muslim man and i will not force my wife to join islam, it's all about love dude

Danes, please explain this 'sex before any other encounter' concept.
Or even better, can a non-Dane who didn't understand it but now does explain it?
Danish guy here I now know what I have been doing wrong for all these years, I have been watching "american" dating videos, I had no idea about this! xD But yeah, it's kind of really weird, but apparently people are very reserved here and don't want to have personal relationships with people if possible, that only comes after knowing each other for years... It is really fucking weird in my opinion...
Old norms: hard to get sex but easy to get into relationship.
New norm: easy to get sex but near impossible into relationship.
That happens all across the modern world.
Interesting answers from both of you.
The world's turned upside down.
"First sex, then coffee" :D
What a lame a** thing this is like just get drunk and lazy then take advantage of each others body for pleasure even when you don't know each other fick this place
Im visiting Denmark in 2 months..I cant wait...
Вот откуда название для книги появилось!? 🤔 4:00
Da :)
Spool frem til 1:35, den scene er episk sprogmisforståelse, når der direkte oversættes fra dansk til engelsk. (The guy on left isnt gay, but he translated danish direct to english, which makes the scene so funny).
I'm sorry but, having sex while drunk before even having a proper conversation is normal? it kinda sounds disgusting to me :/
Ningxia And yet, whatever country your in, tinder still thrives
Normal for a lot of Danes, especially the young people, to get drunk and hook up while drunk.
BUT it's very often with someone they already know!
It’s ok in Denmark
Spot on!
why everyone looks so good
The south of Argentina, what are called Patagonian Provinces like, Rio Negro, Neuquen, Chubut, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, need people in many quiet villages where you can develop tourism ventures, or computer poles, etc., could create a Dinish community numerous where live all those who have dreams of undertaking a life project through ecology.
So sympathetic people!😊 Greetings from Germany
Greetings back ;)
Dating Beyond Borders 😁👋
@Dating beyond borders, who is the artist you frequently use in your videos about dating in Denmark and such? Love the beat, vibe, etc, good sounds.
DJ Quads. I leave links for his songs in the description :)
"Women here are very independent, don't expect them to take care of the children". I hope that woman is just messing around 😆. Not really sure if she really realized what she said, but to me any woman that does not take care of her kids, well something is not right inside her head. And what does raising kids have anything to do with womens rights or her independence?
1:30 "like pink, that's not good in Scandinavia" as a child with a pink jacket walks by.
lol, children are exempt from that rule. we're not monsters
I'm moving to Denmark, the men there OMG
"Pink is not a good color for Scandinavia"
*is gonna wear every pink color* xD
Okay. I think I could stop wearing pink if I found a guy like that hahaha
As always, it is a pleasure to watch these videos, Marina. Thank you so much!
As always, thank you for your comments, Evelyn :D
Is it true that the Danes are the tallest people in Europe?
The Dutch are the tallest
Actually Serbians are the tallest
Ireland
The Dutch are the tallest yes. And in Montenegro too. The two people have the same origins.
subbed thanks for this wonderful channel
YAY! Welcome!
like the part about not using too many colours, the drinking habit before going out and the sex before really dating hahah
Victor Mignone I should wear pink just to piss everyone in scadinivia

Oh well, I wouldn't mind if you wore pink, it's just very uncommon here😂
"dating" is relatively new here, because of American movies. You just kind of get together.
The Danish accent mixed with a very limited practical experience does make them sound... well, Danish accent in general isn't that charming :P
Dating in Sweden be like: sex before coffee. Noted.
Danish guys are very tall and handsome
Man! I need one in my life haha :)
Sex is so casual and women don't embrace their femininity, i would definitely not be able to fit in. I would love to one day get married and take care of my husband and kids, why is this so stigmatized.
katsan88 I can relate! and I'm an American. Wow! What?! Can you believe that? :p
Lauren Gray Baby just stay in America then
I love your videos!
Thank you, Julia!!
Something that I have noticed about Scandinavians is that they barely have an accent when speaking English, very cool.
They have a pretty strong danish accent. I like the Christian blonde danish lady the lady interviewed on the second frame.
Sex before coffee, that is so messed up. No wonder when I met a woman from Denmark, she said the dating scene sucks and couldn't wait to leave Denmark. She was trying desperately to move to another country.
