brilliant! one of my favorite unplugged ever. one comment on black. the 4th chord, the pinky finger should go 9th fret, high E string, rather than 10th fret B string.... keep up the good work! you're doing a wonderful job

That was fantastic. I have watched a couple of times. Particularly porch. I wish I had 10%of your talent bud. Is it possible to do unplugged lessons (in particular porch) and how they play it all? I will rewatch this video a lot and see what I can pick up. I have a feeling most of the songs are played as per album so can get from your other lessons.
Thanks man appreciate the kind words! And yes no problem a few people have asked for lessons as per the MTV versions and whilst they're pretty much the same as the album versions, i think my more recent vids have a much higher production quality so no harm in re-visiting them! Stay tuned!

Love the video. How did you get that bright tone (not sure if that's the correct descriptor). I have a Taylor acoustic electric but can't find the adjustments to get this "shimmery-brite tone". Any advice would be great. Thanks! - Kevin

D'addario EXP Coated 13s i think, they're worth the extra money, they last a lot longer than the non coated ones!

Great video man. I remember delivering newspapers at 5:30am before school when I was a teenager. Slave labor, looking back how much I was paid weekly! I saved for 3 weeks to buy the "TEN" tablature guitar book. This was before the internet and had only been playing 18 months. I didn't understand or even know about different tunings back then. So when I was trying to play Oceans, for example, it just sounded not just slightly wrong but utterly different and horrible. I can remember thinking , "whoever tabbed this book is an idiot". It took me probably another year after that to realize that I was playing in standard tuning when it should have been drop D or open tuning. Damn, back when you had to save up as a kid working a job & having to figure out things for yourself. LOL....I sound & feel old :)
haha sounds familiar, i had a newspaper round as a kid to save up for guitar related stuff! Yea that first Ten TAB book was rubbish tbh, so many inaccuracies in it and some of the tunings are just plain wrong. They re-released it later with a load of corrections. I used to work stuff out from vinyl and cassette back in the day, good times!
@@LetsPlayAll The same man....I learned more from ear and also watching live performances. Guns n Roses was another one. I remember having "Live At The Ritz" on VHS. I would pause and replay the parts where I could see the formations/chords that Slash was using. The intro for Knocking On Heavens Door for example. I knew what an Open G Chord was. I quickly picked up that all Slash was doing was strumming the chord once down, then picking the E, B , G strings, using a plectrum coming back up. My mind was blown. Never looked back. I always wonder how different my guitar playing might have been if I was born into this Internet/UA-cam time?

hey. are you open for feedback? I checked many of yours Lessons, and u chose this one because of the date. I appreciate you taking care of soundgarden , pearl jam and stuff. Man it´s toooo slow for any player , intermediate beginner.... . Lets asume I love soundgarden but dont know all the songs by heart. what is needed is that you first play the whole song or riff more than once( not the song though), so that I have an idea what itsall about. Imagine you are on rehearsal with 3 others. you dont start with step by step ....first you play the whole song....again...I appreciate what you are doing . otherwise I would give sh...cheers from berlin
Always open to feedback so thanks for taking the time to comment :-) I know what you mean about teaching a song in a rehearsal situation but if i was just teaching a peer (like a bandmate) the tune the vids would be like 2 mins long and would have very little detail. There's a wide variety of skill levels so I do try to include everyone in the lesson this way. I do play the riffs before breaking them down though, at least pretty sure i do in 99% of the lessons. It's not feasible to play the entire song through as they get demonetised and in some cases blocked from certain countries, so i tend to keep the covers as separate vids. Cheers!

Ya I've never heard that! I even have a bootleg of the show with all sorts of talking and stuff in-between the songs, but they aren't on there?

Tbh I've never heard those on any recordings either but i went with the Setlist.com listing which states those two tracks are played as an encore, and worst case i figured it's another couple of tunes to play :-)

I just went with the main riffs tbh, this is intended more for fun than a learning resource, but i'll be doing lessons with all the bits and pieces they play in other vids :-)
