i still idolize how Mr Kankkunen is pushing that rallyecar over that special stage. nearly no grip in some sections of the special stage but you can see how smooth he is acting on the steering wheel balancing the car from oversteer to understeer and back. simply amazing 👍😃
you probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Archie Zaiden i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Ha at 13.45 is the same spot I rolled my mk 1 xr2...😂😂😂 happy days... the stage is still one of the greatest it's a pity that the rally isn't as long as it used to be!!
@nicePencilCase Starting in 1997 WRC standardized the events, with each one being run over 3 days and Special stages totaling around 400 KM. Service parks were also in a centralized area instead of moving to where each leg would take place.
@@maushuurWRC played around with calendars a lot on the 1990s. 1993 was the last classic year with I think it was 10 out of 13 rallys counting for the World Championship and you could pick them as you wanted to. But WRC wanted all their stars at every rally. So from 94 to 96 they used a rotational calendar with only 8-10 rallys per season. However, they quickly found out that this was not the best idea, so they changed the rules again in 1997 with the introduction of the World Rally Cars, as mentioned before. There were now 13-14 events but only for 400 kilometers which then slowly further changed down to 300 by the turn of the millennium. That's how we ended up with the sprint format that we now have for a quarter of a century.
Juha is a really steering master, the first seconds I tought it was the video quality because of the white shade on the road, after a few seconds I realized it was snowy packed gravel..... He is truly from another dimension ! Expert car control.....
I love this type of video's. Almost showroom cars with a cage, 5 speed manual, normal suspension. Nothing compared with the current WRC cars but in those days it was really win on Sunday, sell on Monday. I bought my Impreza Turbo like that, and still have it today.....

this is pure gold
Stage results for those that may want it: 1st: Eriksson/Parmander (Mitsubishi) 20m 45secs, 2nd: Delecour/Grataloup (Ford) 20m 47secs, 3rd: C.McRae/Ringer (Subaru) 20m 48secs, 4th: Kankkunen/Grist (Toyota) 21m 04secs & Burns/Reid (Subaru)
Fastest F2: 15th: Llewellin/Grindrod (Vauxhall) 23m 31secs
Incredible to be 19 sec faster than this..

Yeah, the 1993 event was held in really tricky conditions, with some snow and an awful lot of ice.
@@VHSRallies Those were amazing times, current WRC is just a karting meeting compared.....

Who won rally?
@@krzysztofzagorski9632 Eriksson,Kankkunen was 4th
from 1st to 3rd place difference was only 3 seconds:)
@@krzysztofzagorski9632 Kankkunen won this rally. He was 4th in this stage.
16 seconds over that distance comes down to minute differences. Juha and Grist won overall.
