- Action from the 22nd stage of the final round of the 1993 World Rally Championship. In-car footage from the Group A Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD of Juha Kankkunen and Nicky Grist, who would go on to win the event.
Converted from internal VHS recording. There are some minor image glitches during this footage and a minor edit was required after the in-car camera itself malfunctioned and missed part of the stage. What a drive! Poor Nicky sounded terrified a few times haha. Juha was so composed.

Grist - "what do you think?". Kankkunen - "...ok". ha ha. What a drive, great stuff!
Really easy to see how McRae holed his radiator in this stage, lots of fairly deep cuts.
So, this is Kielder Forest.
Kankkunen is fastest outright in that stage. 22 sec. faster than the 2nd - Kenneth Eriksson.

Very unlikely on the Loeb front. All nicely locked (and hopefully digitised) in the current WRC archive.

Toyota never made it to 95 UK rally got banned ..I can see wear you are coming from calvo36...best times for wrc...stay safe people
Grizedale East is on the channel here. Several stages, all Juha K from 1993. 1995 is just too tricky on copyright grounds.
