Violet gave birth to twins named Jenny and Screech in 2005 and died. Their dad probably went to jail for killing their mom and the twins got seperated at birth. 14 yrs later, fate brought them together again, but this time Screech killed his twin without knowing it was his sister and then got killed by a cop named Richard. They were born on the same day and they died on the same day. Generational trauma played out at its best and the most horrific way. Ren is a genius.
gave birth to twins called jenny and james, but later nick named screech by his mates yeah :), and on top of that violet was a silent girl, much like jenny when she couldn't say anything when screech told her to hand over her stuff, and screech much like his father was violent
quick tip for doing reactions; when you pause, go back 2-3 seconds to get back into the flow after you interrupt and to make sure you don't miss anything
Yes. Please. I'm sitting here at home backing it up myself to try to figure it out. It's hard to get a song fully on first listen but this suggestion should help a lot.
If you dig down into it, Violet was Jenny & Sceech's mum, Violet was quiet and suffered an abusive relationship, Jenny was quiet like her mum and froze when encountering Screech. She was fourteen also but wearing high heel shoes and had walked the streets so she was likely a teenage prostitute. Screech was like his father - violent. So we have have genetic traits passed down throughout the tales. Both Jenny and Screech were orphans and likely raised separately by a welfare state and never knew each other. The tale of Jenny & Screech is based upon a news item about an actual teenage boy killing a teenage girl and being shot by Police - with a reporters comments "it was such a shame." Ren made Violets tale as an add-on. Love your enthusiasm as you discover bard-core Ren. You have a long way to go. Oh and the reference to Sting, Ren has considerable influence from Sting so you need to go watch Ren & The Big Push -cover of Englishman in New York (Live).
Also was Jenny prosituting herself? was Screechs friend Patrick seeing Screechs girlfriend? She was 'busy' and his friend didn't answer the knock on the door.
There's a cool little movie/backstory for screech out there, it's only about ten minutes . Rens acting is boss. Think it's on rens channel, gives a bit of insight into Patrick and rens girlfriend 🤫
Crazy how talented he is, that he can just decide to do a hip hop album to challenge himself, and it goes #1 in the UK. Super excited that he said his next album is back to singing and guitar! Everything he touches, he turns to gold. At 53, he's my all time favorite artist. He's special! His band, the Big Push, are also amazing!
Same here 53 years old non rap fan in Arizona and after finding Ren back in January, I'm hooked! That young man has reconfigured my mind and REN-EWED my heart and soul musically 100%. I'm over 3000+ Ren video's & reaction videos. Just got all 3 copies of his new album, Sick Boi in the mail!
@MoreKellBellPlease Guilty as charged! LOL 😂 Since finding him, there hasn't been a day without at least 1 Ren song or reaction video [usually a lot more tho 😊]
6:15 ooh. He loves Sting! He's covered Walking on the Moon as part of a mashup with No Diggity (along with his friend Sam Tompkins) and his band The Big Push has covered "Englishman In New York". Both are great performances.
Can I suggest you react to his 1 million subs- defining success video? It gives you since insight into his illness. Or on your free time, check out since of his interviews, just to see how bad his health was. It's seriously amazing how God he's doing even while dealing with constant pain.
Silent Violet was the Mum, Stevie the Prick was the Dad...Violet died and Stevie although not mentioned in the song but obviously got put in prison for manslaughtering Violet...So those twins got raised seperately in the state childcare system and never met each other or knew from each other for what ever reason....maybe to protect them from their father Stevie reaching out to them or vice versa..who knows. Jenny inherited her silent behavior pattern from her Mum and Screech inherited his violent behavior pattern from his Dad. Another thing : What does a 14 year old girl dressed up in high heels on the streets deep at night? As mentioned in the song repeatedly "she escaped"... ask yourself "escaped from what" (=a runaway from the state childcare system) + also mentioned in the song "she walked there already 1000 times" at that late hour heading home....and also ask yourself how does she as a minor with no family connections whats so ever finance her living and pay her bills for her home?? ...14 year old teens do not have "a regular job" not at day nor at night....so think about it and do the math... Similar thoughts you can make about 14 year old Screech as well. That Trilogy is not just "a tale" it is a subtile critic on how society and the state handles social childcare in some unfortunate circumstances + demonstrates "a circle of violence passed on from one Generation to the next" which already started with Violet´s father who messed up Jenny so she got a boyfriend which was basically abusive alike her father and a drinker alike her mother in personal union and that combi ended deadly for her.
Was Stevie the father? or maybe it was the father of Violet, who's the father. Stevie is accusing Violet of lying to him, could it be, because he was not?
A modern day bard painting such vivid imagery with his storytelling that it pulls you in and forces you to keep listening - even when it gets physically uncomfortable in parts. And Ren uses this power to shed light on far too real issues in the world. Ren is special. If you want to see just how special, continue your journey down the rabbit hole. I highly recommend one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It is an older song from before he finally got correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and absolutely stunning. But also if you want to really understand the man behind the beautiful art and why the RENegades love him not just for his work, check out his 1m subscribers video on defining success. Ren is a beautiful human being trying to make positive changes in the world.
I am loving your reactions and am so excited for you as you discover all the different facets of Ren. His duets with Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla and Bibi. His group The Big Push. His live busking (street performances) sessions. You are in for such a treat. I am a Ren reaction addict lol. Ren is an amazing gift and I love seeing reactors faces and emotions as they unwrap him. I cannot tell you how many reactions to 'Hi Ren' I have watched since I watched it back in January. To see a artist's performance that actually leaves people so speechless, never get old.
Violet was Jenny and Screech's mother. Killed by her abusive boyfriend at 9 months pregnant. Babies taken into care and split up at birth. Screech came upon Jenny when he was looking for someone to rob, and killed her having no idea she was his sister.
3 generations of violence , violets parents , violet and steve, jenny and screech , screech probably violent to his girlfriend hopefully she was with patrick when he tryed to call her.
Great reaction! Wait until you think about this.. Jenny was 14 too & walking in high heels late at night on a path she's walked 1000 times before?? And later, with Patrick not being home and Screech's girl was 'busy' at the same time??
So I’ve watched hundreds if not more Ren reactions Perhaps I’m drawn to him because I relate to him and his struggles so much You’re the only guys I’ve actually subscribed to so far, loved the hi Ren reaction so hopefully this will be as good
I've noticed that musicians/engineers get SO hyped by the sound and playing they miss a few words here or there, which can make a difference in getting the ending. The guitar scales are sound effects of rewinding to 2005 and forwarding back to present. I subbed for your Ren journey. You are going to love it!
Really enjoyed your reaction and appreciation of this! It took me a couple of listens to actually enjoy it due to its subject matter. But, like a bard, he is shining a light on people’s stories that need addressing - hopefully making people more aware. A masterpiece. I subbed after your last reaction - glad I did! X PS I suggest Sick Boi next.
Thanks Audio Lunch another great reaction to the master #REN. If you go any further down this rabbit 🐇 hole you will need a parachute 🪂 it’s vast and all so different. Enjoy
This is a masterfully told tale of intergenerational violence & trauma. Here are a couple more things to know: Ren said Screech's friend, Patrick, & his girlfriend were unavailable to hide him because they were together. Also, "every night he'd tuck her tight but never left the room" means Violet was sexually abused by her father. At 16, she moved out & met Stevie. Why did he call her a slut? Because he was already pregnant when he met her? It's very likely that Violet's own father was the father of her twins. These tales grew out (over several years) of a newspaper article Ren read about a 14 year-old boy who killed a prostitute. The policeman was quoted as saying, "It's such a shame" which is largely society's reaction to these horrors. It's such a shame. Pass the butter, please.
Fantastic reaction! Ren is truly a musical genius. Hard to believe he is self-taught on guitar, piano and singing off of UA-cam videos. Can't wait to see more Ren reactions. You are just starting a very interesting journey ❤❤
Truly enjoyed your reaction! I'm an old musician (started playing as a kid in the 1960's), and haven't been this excited about an artist since the alternative rock days in the early '90's. My intro to him was also Hi Ren, which immediately pulled me into the rabbit hole. Now you've got two (actually four) Ren songs under your belt and have another 400 to go. Subbed! (I was about to give some recommendations, but then thought you can't go wrong with any Ren or The Big Push song, cover or collaboration. I can't even pick a favorite...)
I loooooved this reaction! Wait til you see BOTH versions of Animal Flow. Pretty pretty please do Money Game just like this, too. Parts 1-3 consecutively. You won't even notice the time! I'm so grateful to have found this channel! Welcome to the REN-naissance! 🎉
I was literally yelling at my phone for you to KEEP LISTENING! You kept trying to figure out the story but all you had to do was listen to the end! Lol. Drove me crazy! 😂
Your awe at Ren's genius is brilliant.😅 I understand you can't take everything in at once with Ren's music. My advice is pause more to digest in smaller chunks but always remember to rewind a few seconds b4 restarting. As you have now realised Ren is no ordinary musician/artist, his work is dense with details either musical, lyrical or visual (mostly all three at once) so not rewinding might make u miss something. My recommendation for your next reaction is another trilogy..Money Game 1, 2 and 3. Just remember to only watch the LYRIC VIDEO for Money Game 2 bc the live version is missing some verses and doesn't hit the same way. With the Tales you just watched, I recommend watching a few more times to be able to digest everything he's saying, bc at the end of the day, this epic story is about generational violence and how that affects families downstream. Triggered when Ren was watching a news reporter state 'what a shame' after reporting on the death of a young prostitute killed by a 14 year old boy, Ren's social conscious took him down the path of asking himself about how that could've possibly come about and how blasé we are as a society about the misfortunes of those around us. Violet suffered abuse at the hands of her father and her boyfriend only to have her babies suffer similarly (Ren implies they are separated at birth, presumably fostered and suffered at their hands too, leading Screech to have uncontrolled anger and Jenny a become a child prostitute - remember they are both 14 & Ren describes Jenny as having walked these streets a 1000 times, having high heeled shoes and having rosy cheeks). Both die and "it's such a shame"; Ren's commentary on how societies had let down these children in the first place. It's the details in this that are incredible such as the singing in the stairwell b4 Stevie knocks on Violet's door. Here Ren looks at the dark staircase while he sings in a choilike fashion (as u would sing in church) "She never stood a chance" implying (IMO) that no matter how much she had prayed her God was not there (the darkness) for her so then the camera pans down and Ren sings in a diminishing musical scale "The Devil comes to dance". Implying that in the absence of God, the Devil can take over at leisure which he does with Stevie's evil actions in the next bit. I particularly love how Ren emphasised the 'ssssss' sound at the end of the word "dance" giving it a snake-like sound (reminding us about the devil's original role in the garden of eden). You will find Ren loves to play around with religious metaphors even though he has said he is agnostic himself. To me this should have won a Grammy or an Oscar for the ridiculous artistry and thought that went into this. To think there is music and films out there that have won those awards that pale into comparison is ridiculous! Enjoy your journey into Ren's genius work, please don't make us wait too long for yout next reaction 😅
Also, orphaned children in the UK foster system, without parents or family, in circumstances where they have no name, are automatically called "Jenny" for females and "James" for males, just like an American Jane/John Doe. Nonstop layers of his genius!
Gents I'm so jealous that you get to experience all of rens catalogue, I'll be along for the ride with you two, you in for a treat, he's also got some amazing stuff with his band the big push and colabs with so great artists also, you haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg, sending good vibes from liverpool uk ,
Violet is Jenny and Screech’s mom. They were separated at birth when Violet was killed by her husband who was abusive continuing the cycle of abuse for Violet that started with her father. Ren is the most interesting artist I have ever seen, and I’m 68! Enjoy the ride. He never disappoints.
I haven't even watched yet, but knowing the Renegades, I always chuckle when reactors say "this one came HIGHLY recommended" and there's a 'twinge' of annoyance 🤣I'm a proud member of the Renegades, but dang we can all scream the same thing with mass power! It's an algorithm push though too right?! Especially since you've done 2 serious songs in a row... I would recommend Power or What You Want - something fun and completely different from his AMAZING story telling, but showcases his diversity some. He's dropped a lot of non-story telling songs lately for his album release, but wants to do his next album more acoustic/classic guitar. He also has a dream of doing this kind of thing as a Netflix series!
one of the best channels reacting to Ren, i am subbing for the Rabbit hole and also your energy with each other is perfect for this format! Ren is truly a one of a kind
I started with your What you want reaction and now am working my way through the playlist but I had to order them in the order you experienced them. I love peoples first experience to his songs. It is almost like my first experience all over. I see you have done at least one of his older songs from his demos. Heretic is amazing, Hold on, and Life is funny. Enjoy the ride, I'm going to enjoy watching your way through it.
I enjoyed watching you flip back and forth between the horror of the content and the appreciation for the art. Ren really make you think... and think again. I love that he leaves it to the viewer to fill in the gaps and he doesn't dumb it down or hand hold... he just puts it out there and say... there you go... you decide. I think you should go the same route the rest of us did in discovering Ren... instead of jumping ahead to his latest stuff... it's like a fine wine.... so next I would suggest either "Sick Boi" or "Chalk Outline" (with Chinchilla) live version. If you want to go off track a bit, you could check out his busking tapes with his band The Big Push. Again, if you follow the path, "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip hop" (1 video).. make sure Ren is wearing RED SUSPENDERS. He has another version of I Shot The Sheriff but the sound quality isn't nearly as good. Then "War Pigs." (Same busking session). As always... More Ren Please.
You guys are in for a treat. All Rens back catalogue is worth reacting to. It’s all good. Really really good. He’s all I practically listen to these days. Stuck down the rabbit hole and not trying to find a way out. Either Chalk Outlines or since you guys are musicians, maybe check out Ren with his band The Big Push. Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard is one of my favorites. Subbed to see more Ren videos. Cheers!
I've never been so disturbed by someone being so happy, all smiles and rocking out like he's in a freaking club to a story about a woman being beaten by her boyfriend.
Ah my bros - you 2 are quickly becoming my go to reactors. I think because you both musicians you just get the subtle and complex parts of music writing. Really good stuff. Great energy ❤
It's well worth listening to Rens interview with the Charismatic Voice on UA-cam. They discuss some production and technical aspects that you may appreciate.
RENagade here new sub from me. I subbed officially after watching the reaction on your face. Silence says more than words a lot. I could feel how you were feeling remininded me my furst time hearing this and the gut wrenching uncomfortable i wanna push stop feeling your face made during violet. Ots people that can really not just appreciate Rens music for all the amazing musical abilities and talents and technique but be able to emotionally connect to him in someway because he is amazing at least for me to e able to actually freely feel and talk a out what we have lost in the chaos and judgment of division.
Great reaction! Just subbed for more 😊. He is once in a generation, genre bending talent. Wait til you witness his piano skills and hear more of his brilliant vocals. He plays in a band called the Big Push. You should check out their cover of Englishman in New York since you picked up on that Sting influence. The Big Push with their live street performances will melt your brain cells! You have so much to look forward to! His real life story makes what he has accomplished so far even more amazing. An independent artist; horribly ill for more than a decade; just released a number one UK album while still receiving extensive medical treatment (hooked up to i.v. treatments on the daily) to mitigate the horrible damage his undiagnosed Lyme disease has done to his body. He is an inspiration for so many. Welcome to the World of Ren 😊
Your reaction was such a joy to watch. I love your enthusiasm and your growing love for Ren, he is amazing is he? 🙂 Also Reactors are divided into those who focus on Ren's sound, instrument, vocals and those who delve deeply into the words, Ren's story. You guys definitely like the sound and I love it🙂 Got my sub, can't wait for next reaction I will recommend next trylogy Money Game part 1,2,3🙂
This is one of the greatest Triptychs I've ever seen, stunning piece of work. Can't wait to see you guys do Ren X Chinchilla 'Chalk outlines'...get your tissues ready ;) P.S. you're the first reaction I've seen on this that actually heard the seagulls :p
I love it that you (bald guy) caught it before they said it! There are a lot of reactors who don't catch it even after it is revealed! I don't think the other guy would have caught it if you weren't there!
OMG.... You guys are my new favourite reactors to REN. I think it's the fact that you get goose bumps at the same time as me..... Even on my bald head too🤣🤣
This is a Tragedy worthy of Shakespeare and Deeper than most may realize. Violet moved out on Welfare at 16, concidering what her Father did to her, Jenny and Screech may actually be her Half Siblings as well, explaining why she has a "Welfare Flat" at 16. Jenny is just like Violet was as she never says a word when Screech attacks her, and Screech, just like Violet's Father has a Violent Temperment. A True Terrible Masterpiece!
First of all, thank you for another great reaction! The Tale of Jenny & Screech was indeed as you said another one-take (Or technically 3 one-takes if you count all 3 videos) Violet ,was Screech and Jenny's mum. Violet was in a very bad abusive relationship with Stevie who she met. But also Violets father abused her too and her Mother was a drinker. This whole series is based off a news report that happened here in the UK in 2005 (Hence the lyrics) about a boy that killed a young girl and was shot by a Police officer, however the names were not Jenny and Screech (not sure about the police officer). Ren said himself in an article that his ex-girlfriend and little sister were abused so it hit him close to home, but he made this song as a story for them in a way too. Ren is a master storyteller, and I think that his guitarwork (He has a lot of influence from Sting by the way so good shout on that), amongst his performance are second-to-none. Jenny and Screech (or James rather but Ren chose to say Screech at the end of the song to bring it full circle in Violet's tale) they were indeed twins and they both died side by side, 1 street apart from each other. Overall, it is a thought-provoking song that explores the struggles of individuals in a violent society, basically where despair and hopelessness have dire consequences, and I honestly think that it's a masterpiece in of itself. Anyway I look forward to seeing more reactions from you guys! I recommend deep diving into Ren's other songs like 'Suis*de'. (Not spelt that way but with UA-cam not liking the word have to spell it like that, but you guys catch my drift) Bring the tissue for that though, you'll see why if you do react to it, and also give a listen to the 'Sick Boi' album that Ren has just recently released! UK #1!
The guitar sound after Stevie beat up Violet: not the sound of death but the fast forward sound to the present time 2005. When he was in the hospital bed he said we must rewind the hands of time for Violet’s tale and with the guitar he played the sound of rewinding going back in time to start Violet’s tale from her childhood.
I get Peaky Blinder vibes from some of this song. His haircut is similar to the era in the movie as well. Thank you for your great review. Amazing artist.
Great job guys! Next stop: BUSKING with the Big Push! Seriously. ‘I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop’ (the one with Ren in red suspenders, very important!) Or dive into his rap game. Everything on the Sick Boi album basically. Or since you called out Sting…‘Englishman in New York’ video with the Big Push is sooooo goood!!
Love the Ren reactions fellas. Nailed it on the Sting vibe. He’s one of REN’s biggest influences. I can tell by your ear and enthusiasm for music REN’s gonna continue to blow your mind. Check out the harder rap, check out the busking, check out The Big Push (his band), and just keep checking out till you can’t check out anymore. Love it❣️
Love it. The guys have filled you in re: Violet. What's next? I'd listen to Crutch for some insight into Ren's life experience. Then Money Game parts 1, 2 and 3 will blow your minds.
Also, orphaned children in the UK foster system, without parents or family, in circumstances where they have no name, are automatically called "Jenny" for females and "James" for males, just like an American Jane/John Doe. Nonstop layers of his genius!
Ren tells the stories and the filming of the stories are all done so well i found myself looking for the bodies laying on the ground. The saddest thing about this is the fact each of these things are happening in every country at this very moment and the cycle continues
I appreciate the honest reaction from the dude on the right (black sweatshirt). Video after video, it’s pretty easy to suss out who’s genuine and who’s not. Just be honest about it, ya know? Everyone already knows when you lie. Word to the wise.
Ren was winding back time on the guitar to tell violet’s tail on the bed then in the street he wound it forward ! You will have to watch it a few time to really get the brilliance of this one but we’ll done 👏👏👏🔥🔥👏
Great reaction again. N he is a fan of Sting n the Police..do check him out at some point covering Englishman in New York w the Big Push to hear his musicianship. Looking forward to another Ren reaction
If you think he sounds like Sting, he did a cover of "Englishman in New York" with the band he was in up until last year called The Big Push. It's absolutely brilliant. You would be doing yourselves a huge favour by watching it. Also, it might interest you to learn that Ren's father plays the guitar and lute in a group which plays 12th and 13th century court music and I think you'd agree that some of the notes and runs /chords are very medieval sounding.
The next REN you will react to will probably be the Money game trilogy, I’d recommend doing them all in one video. But I’d also recommend to his one called ‘For Joe’, it’s much more personal and emotional.
Violet is the mother :) "... History repeats itself...". The social heritage sometimes hangs close to your kids. be the best parent you can, your kids will mirror into that.
In Violet's tale, when it was said that it seemed like he didn't know where he was. I have long thought that that opening represented the birth of the twins and the passing of Violet. This is the first time I have heard anyone mention that in a reaction
Ren was also in a band called the big push check out English man in New York and I shot the sheriff road to Zion hip-hop the version where he has on the red braces 👍 well you did mention Sting
15:51 Several reactors have pointed out the tape on the floor being a mark, but I'm certain it isn't. There are no marks anywhere else in this or any other video he does, so i find it hard to believe he'd need one in as easy a spot as a corner.
IMHO the Tale of Jenny and Screech is a Three Act Shakespearian Tragedy, in the style of the wondering minstrel bard. Ren has self identified his music as bard core, so that is confirmed. This is an ancient style of music; that goes right back through the wondering minstrel bards of the middle ages. The works of Chaucer sung in the Wife of Bath's ale house. And back to the Dark Ages of Anglo Saxon epic poetry of Beowulf on through the Greek Homeric tales and the beginning of the Choir and probably all the way back to Ugg twanging his Bow to woo the Chiefs Daughter or complain about the Chief stealing the meat from his hunt, at the hut of the Widow Ale Wife where he and others would congregate to let off steam and tell tales of epic hunts; to then draw on the local cave walls like the graffiti in The Tales. The music acted in part as interlude/intro as well as melodic emphasis and sound effects for the story. Also I think you spotted Ren's use of locational reverb in the sound engineering. They also got lucky with the Seagulls in part of the song which then was deliberately left in and emphasized in the mix. All of that indicates the intellectual level of the performance production in this piece of art.
Ren would be so excited to know you hear Sting influences in his work! I was worried when you missed the actual words letting you know Jenny was dead near the start of Screech's tale; you chose that exact moment to share your goosebumps and did not hear the few words which actually confirmed it......the life of Jenny clocked out like Big Ben........ You worked it out later, which was good. Love your honest enthusiasm, is infectious. Not sure if you are aware, but Ren learned to play the guitar from watching you tube. I guess he never learned any "rules" which is a blessing for us, since he is innovative and inventive (are these the same word?). Ren is certainly the most talented musician in this generation if not for the rest of this century. I think future generations will look at these videos just as we look back at early 1950's rock clips with wonderment. I wondered if you would pick the reverb up as he began Violet's tale and walked into the hall,, but he gave you too much to concentrate on with the story itself and you got it a bit later. I adore the sound of the stairs and the filming of it. The hospital bed was set up in the bike room of the apartment building. Ingenious. OMG. Talk about alienating at least this one viewer (no, I see more comments on this point) with both your reactions to Stevie's treatment of Violet. Did you seriously not hear what he was singing???? Surely you heard the words, you seemed so taken up with the rhyme scheme you must have understood the words, so why celebrate......??? Sorry, I was enjoying seeing you react to Ren videos and was about to subscribe. Not now I have no time for people so caught up in themselves, they can't do the artist the justice of actually listening to what is being sung. Did you know Listen and Silent are anagrams of each other in the English language?
Seriously this is not what ren wants stop judging them, diffrent people react differently to the music you can't tell someone they are wrong how they process it so please be nice
@@mothermaclean I am not telling them they are wrong and am sorry it came across that way. I was telling them they would not have me as a subscriber and thought I did them courtesy of letting them know why. I have heard others on you tube say they want to know why they lose subscribers, so my idea was to explain why. I am sorry if it did not come across that way. Should I change it?
@@payntpot7623 it was the bit from OMG That I disagreed with I didn't mean to upset anyone either, just what I was responding to was not everyone acts the same way to these songs, you almost sounded angry about them not being upset about violets part. As ren himself has said diffrent People get diffrent things from his song in my case I did not react negatively to what was happening to violet maybe it because of societies we hear and see it so often all around us, in the papers on the news it just life and being desensitised to it. Though i think they were rapped up in the excellence of the guitar playing and how it made them both feel. This is me being open to discussion with out argument though.
@@mothermaclean Perhaps I was blunt. I was reacting in the moment to their reaction. I have thought about changing my post, but that would not be being honest with myself and to how I felt at the time I was posting. I was very taken aback. My blood actually ran cold as I watched them; hence typing what I did in the moment. Prior to that, I had been enjoying their reactions to the video. I suppose it is my reaction to their reaction. If they do not like it, they can always have it removed (I suppose such a thing is possible??). I generally do try to be positive or not post at all. This time it was me being honest in the moment.
Please do more Ren!! Love your reactions to his stuff, bonus you don't have to worry about those reactions getting blocked for copyright since Ren want everyone to react to his stuff.
Ren can do it all, and do it well. He is soo....good, I cannot even say it.Violet was the mother to Jenny and Screech. In violets tale, he went back in time to tell her story, remember the descending guitar riff? He raps, he writes the best lyrics I have come across since Bob Dylan. Im 68 years old and he has restored my hope in music. I never listened to rap at all, but Ren raps, but when he does, he has something to say, he's top of the bunch. Like and subscribed, I'll be watching for your journey. If you like this tale, he also has a trilogy "Money Game" 1,2,3 watch them in order, Unbelievable..
😳 😱
SPOILER ALERT!
Spoiler much shit
gave birth to twins called jenny and james, but later nick named screech by his mates yeah :), and on top of that violet was a silent girl, much like jenny when she couldn't say anything when screech told her to hand over her stuff, and screech much like his father was violent
Do you think patrick was round at screeches girlfriends place ?
quick tip for doing reactions; when you pause, go back 2-3 seconds to get back into the flow after you interrupt and to make sure you don't miss anything
That's a great suggestion 😅
You cut that at the WORST possible moment 🤣
Also- the guitar going back in time, then later going back to real time. Not signify death, Genius.
So true👍👍
yes that stop was so unfortunate :D
Yes. Please. I'm sitting here at home backing it up myself to try to figure it out. It's hard to get a song fully on first listen but this suggestion should help a lot.

Also Patrick was banging Screech's missus when he was trying to phone them/knocking on the door

@JoelMyaer You sound a bit obsessed, just like me 🤣 I'm also 53.
@MoreKellBellPlease Guilty as charged! LOL 😂 Since finding him, there hasn't been a day without at least 1 Ren song or reaction video [usually a lot more tho 😊]
@@JoelMyaer Same 💯
Ditto! 🤘🏼
6:15 ooh. He loves Sting! He's covered Walking on the Moon as part of a mashup with No Diggity (along with his friend Sam Tompkins) and his band The Big Push has covered "Englishman In New York". Both are great performances.
What I was going to say😅
The Money Game series (1, 2, & 3) will blow yr lids off. Ren is a generational talent. Not a single bad song in his catalog.
Can I suggest you react to his 1 million subs- defining success video? It gives you since insight into his illness. Or on your free time, check out since of his interviews, just to see how bad his health was. It's seriously amazing how God he's doing even while dealing with constant pain.
Yes, please to this! 🌈ᥫ᭡
Yes
@@annedehoop2055 Well in the lyrics Stevie accused her that she is just pretending to be sleeping..that was "the lie" he accused her...
New subscriber here!!!! RENagades!!!!!
3 generations of violence , violets parents , violet and steve, jenny and screech , screech probably violent to his girlfriend hopefully she was with patrick when he tryed to call her.
The guitar sound at the beginning and end is the rewind of time
Great reaction! Wait until you think about this.. Jenny was 14 too & walking in high heels late at night on a path she's walked 1000 times before?? And later, with Patrick not being home and Screech's girl was 'busy' at the same time??
So I’ve watched hundreds if not more Ren reactions
Perhaps I’m drawn to him because I relate to him and his struggles so much
You’re the only guys I’ve actually subscribed to so far, loved the hi Ren reaction so hopefully this will be as good
Ren is a genius. Cant to wait to experience more. Thanks for subbing. Cheers
I've noticed that musicians/engineers get SO hyped by the sound and playing they miss a few words here or there, which can make a difference in getting the ending. The guitar scales are sound effects of rewinding to 2005 and forwarding back to present.
I subbed for your Ren journey. You are going to love it!
😊sometimes I would like to tell them “slow down”, “ listen” 😅!!!
PS I suggest Sick Boi next.
you guys are special, your friendship is remarkable..i only recently watch you guys and i can see how tight of buddies you are!
Thanks Audio Lunch another great reaction to the master #REN. If you go any further down this rabbit 🐇 hole you will need a parachute 🪂 it’s vast and all so different. Enjoy
Thank you. We cant wait for more Ren
Ren is just.... everything. Hes everything. And that's what makes him so incredible. Glad yall are enjoying his music! 😊💜💜
A genius! We are loving so far. Cant wait for more
This is a masterfully told tale of intergenerational violence & trauma.
Whoa. That is a deep interpretation. So sad about Violet’s dad theory
Wow! amazing musician!!!
It's funny you mention Sting! Ren credits him as a huge vocal influence, he loves Sting! He'd love it that you made that connection.
Absolutely lovingggg your reaction!!
I can’t wait for you to see some of his other sides haha your world turned upside down lol….
Y'all are my new favorite Ren reaction channel!
Gents I'm so jealous that you get to experience all of rens catalogue, I'll be along for the ride with you two, you in for a treat, he's also got some amazing stuff with his band the big push and colabs with so great artists also, you haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg, sending good vibes from liverpool uk ,
So glad I found you guys! Great Ren reactions! I am quickly going through everything you have done! Bravo!
Just binged all your Ren reactions, I love how much you love him already. Please do more asap!! 🖤
one of the best channels reacting to Ren, i am subbing for the Rabbit hole and also your energy with each other is perfect for this format! Ren is truly a one of a kind
Thank you!!!
Loved you reaction and enthusiasm. One of the mind blowing facts about Ren is that he learned guitar through watching UA-cam videos.
I'm so happy that I found your channel! The two videos I watched of your reactions gave me goosebumps! Love it
Thank you so much. Cheers!
Cheers!
Thats awesome! Thanks for the recommendations. Cheers
i am the same, other music just does not compare to the brilliance that is REN! Also try trick the Fox Rens earlier band.
Never stop Ren. You'll miss the whole beauty.
Thanks man, we really appreciate it. Cheers
Absolutely love this reaction! "look at my goosies!!" 😂😂
Unrivalled depth in lyricism and raw delivery, he can do it all.
The man is a Genius❤thanks guys appreciate you always❤
When he was in the big push (the band) they do a cover of sting's English man in new york. He sounds just like him like you said. ❤❤😊
Thank you. Great comment!
Loved your reactions to Ren. I subscribed to you because of Ren.
Your reaction was such a joy to watch. I love your enthusiasm and your growing love for Ren, he is amazing is he? 🙂
Also Reactors are divided into those who focus on Ren's sound, instrument, vocals and those who delve deeply into the words, Ren's story. You guys definitely like the sound and I love it🙂
Got my sub, can't wait for next reaction I will recommend next trylogy Money Game part 1,2,3🙂
Love your energy and excitement!
Great reaction guys 👍

Cheers 🍻😀
Even on my bald head too🤣🤣
Thank you!!!!! 🤣 cheers!!

I love that you did that at the end. Great reenactment 😂
hello, dears! you guys are rockin' these reactions!! so, you like our man ren, a little? yeah, me too!!! kathleen bts renegade
Fantastic reaction from you two
This is a Tragedy worthy of Shakespeare and Deeper than most may realize.
Did you see it like a movie? I found it amazing how his words force images in your head.
Seriously. ‘I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop’ (the one with Ren in red suspenders, very important!)
Or dive into his rap game.
Great reaction, I’ve done about 140 individual videos so far so it’s a deep hole and you will not be disappointed 🙏🦉❤️🐊👍
Love you guys for your enthousiasm! Ren is a genius! Enjoy your journey in Ren's rabbit hole! Peace out! ❤ Greatings from France!
Thank you! ✌️

If there is any chance you can try and to get some livestream footage as he is a AWSOME multi talent artist.
Ren was winding back time on the guitar to tell violet’s tail on the bed then in the street he wound it forward ! You will have to watch it a few time to really get the brilliance of this one but we’ll done 👏👏👏🔥🔥👏
One of Ren’s friends said after he’s done a new song they gives it the ‘car test’ just like you did. 😂
Great reaction!!!
Thank you!! 😁
Welcome to the world of Ren 🤘😎
Love your reactions 💜
omg just found your Chanel never hit subscribe so fast. Loving your red reactions guys x
Violet is the mother :) "... History repeats itself...". The social heritage sometimes hangs close to your kids. be the best parent you can, your kids will mirror into that.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Now all 3 Money Games!!
I am so enjoying your videos
He's like an old truepador,,story telling at it's absolute finest.
In Violet's tale, when it was said that it seemed like he didn't know where he was. I have long thought that that opening represented the birth of the twins and the passing of Violet. This is the first time I have heard anyone mention that in a reaction
Ren was also in a band called the big push check out English man in New York and I shot the sheriff road to Zion hip-hop the version where he has on the red braces 👍 well you did mention Sting
>>> he said he loves Sting !! great call .
Great reaction guys! Love Ren so much you need to do Money Game Part 1, 2 & 3 PLEASE 🔥
Dude, I love Sting, but he would be lucky to sound like REN. I’m older than dirt, and music has been my life since I was 6.
If you like Sting, you should check out his bands cover of “Englishman in New York”. It was their first UA-cam upload.
Ren was in a band called The Big Push. They did a cover of Englishman in New York. He definitely has some Sting influences
