I am having the same problem with my 2016 versa. I changed the range sensor twice and a mechanic found that it was a reverse light that was not at full strength. He cleaned the lights and it worked. However, a month later, I got the same code again. I checked the tail lights again and everything seems to be working fine. What else can it be?
If the transmission is exhibiting symptoms would it still just be the light? Once mine warms up after driving a bit, the transmission seems to slip when taking off from a stop. Also shits kinda hard sometimes. Would this still be the light issue or would this be the tps /trs
@@kennysammijoi had this exact issue that you’re describing. I took it for an inspection at Nissan and they told me they needed to replace the entire transmission costing around 6k
Will this issue make your transmission not engage?
It’s probably the same problem in the circuit board of the lights, but I don’t want to tell you change the light, but it’s cheaper than the dealer doing a diagnostic . My brother took his car in and a dealer was vague, but knew what it was. Fortunately, my brother brought it home and I will change the tail. I had issues on other cars with the tail lights.
I confirm that this works and I came here to say thank you from the bottom of my heart . I followed your link ,paid $133.00 on Amazon ,received my tail lights , took literally 5 minutes to replace and fixed the issue with the transmission sensor . THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🏻
Just used WD-40 contact cleaner on all the bulb contacts and sprayed onto the connector harness male and female ends. It seemed to fix the issue, thank you!
I confirm that, I had this issue before at the same time my tail lights were malfunctioning bit when i sorted the tail lamps issue (changing bulbs fuses cleaning oxidation) the issue disappeared
Awesome video man, straight to the point. I wonder if emissions warranty will cover this 😂
Oh and both taillights are broken allowing moisture in
Man you have saved my butt!
I had the same issue with my wife's 2012 Versa..all I did is clean the yellow connector..I notice the there was moisture which causes a short circuit tripping the code..no need to change the whole tail light assembly..the issue comes back during rainy days..all I do is clean it again..
I got water in my headlight unit would it give me the same code because I have transmission range sensor showing up I scanned it and got code p0705?
Thank you
Would your cars driving performance be affected by this?
Just went through this. I replaced one of the lights that had corrosion, and now the nissan is good to go. I put dielectric grease on all the contact on both lights
Would water in the headlights cause this issue?
I have water in my left headlamp and I'm getting the P0705 code too.
My left tail light is out also.
So have this code reappear since you replaced the 2 light assemblies?
Do you know if this applies to the 2017 model?
How can i verify that it's the tail light issue and not a genuine TRS issue?
The only thing convincing me its a false trip is that my car hasnt been driving or handling any differently since the P0705 came on
But i don't wanna buy the tail light assembly and replace it before figuring out if it's actually the reason
EDIT: Fixed, I took apart both rear light assemblies and cleaned all the connections with a toothbrush. Deleted the code and it hasnt come back since
Same thing here. I removed the bulbs, put new ones in, erased the code and it went away. If you stand behind the car and someone puts it in reverse, you can see which reverse light has the issue (it'll be dim).
I have a 2012 nissan tiida latio (versa).
There's water in my keft headlamp and my right tdil lamp is out
Im getting a p0705 coded check engine light and the dashboard gear indicator sometimes goes blank.
I just opened the vehicle and heard the door ajar when ignition on beep beep beep beep.
I still have the keys in my hand, not keyless and ignition is most definitely off.
Hi. Did you manage to fix the gear indicator going blank? Mine went blank and the car is not starting at all, says its not in park
Mine has the same code did anyone experienced when you use right turn signal apply brake and the radio flashes?
This is something I've been having an issue with too, my left turn signal will be fine but the moment I apply my brake, it ticks faster and my backup camera initiates randomly.
This gotta be to be a joke right?
It may seem unbelievable, but sometimes reality is stranger than fiction!
I have Honda accourd euro 2004 I have same code can you help me please I try changing the switch
It’s not. The transmission wires go to the circuit board in the rear left lamp. My mechanic said the same thing this guy is saying. I’m not a mechanic but can verify too. I at least know how to change bulbs. The check engine light came on one time, giving me a 0705 code. During that particular time of the light being on, I was making a left turn. The second I turned on my left turn signal, the gear display went blank. If I use the right signal, perfectly fine. I pulled into our church parking lot to park and test it out. Like I said, I’m not a mechanic but I’m very observant. I turned it off and back on, fine. I used the right signal, fine. Left signal, gear display went off again. I picked up a pack of bulbs, changed it, and the issue was gone.
No I was wondering why my brother’s car had moisture in the head lamps and tail lamps. Then his signal light istarted tripping. Then the engine check light came on It will go off. We had excessive heat days, but the surging would come and go crazy.
no some dumbass at nissan thought we needed the transmission to be wired into the ground from the tail lights. serves no purpose other than getting people into the repair bay
