Thank you. I was working using EEVEE for real-time visualization and, probably, since it's not a ray-tracing render engine, I forgot to set up some reflection/refraction options.

Low poly doesn't always mean easier. Start following what you like more, there's so much to learn, don't be afraid to do it wrong :)

your title says 'how to slice stuff in Blender 3D." You wasted over 6 minutes showing how to animate slicing. you did not slice the object at all. This is a waste of time.
