- In this video, join me as I dive into the Marvel Knights Fantastic Four series, "4." This series kicks off with a compelling premise that promises to take the iconic team in exciting new directions. However, as the story unfolds, it quickly descends into familiar tropes and standard schlock, ultimately leaving me feeling disappointed.
I’ll explore the initial excitement surrounding the series, examining what worked in its fresh take on the Fantastic Four. From intriguing character dynamics to a thrilling setup, there’s a lot to love at the outset. But as we dig deeper, I’ll discuss the moments where the narrative falters, losing the spark that made it so promising.
Join me as I dissect the character development, plot execution, and overarching themes, contrasting the strong start with the missed opportunities that hindered the series. If you’re curious about whether this series is worth your time or just want to hear an honest review from a fellow comic enthusiast, you won’t want to miss this!
Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave your thoughts in the comments below-what did you think of Marvel Knights' "4"? Did it meet your expectations, or did it miss the mark like it did for me?

as far as i can tell roberto aguirres entire career has been a a bunch of very good ideas that get absolutely fumbled at one point or another
Seems right
Since you liked the beginning of the run so much I think you’d really like Ryan North’s fantastic current run on the FF
Really? I'll have to check that out. Thank you
I haven’t read it yet, but have enjoyed the first few issues of North’s Two-in-One.
One of the things I enjoy most about Hauss is how positive he is about comics I love. Even when he “has” to be negative to be honest, he’s obviously uncomfortable with it. It makes his videos fun to watch, and they will last longer than other UA-camrs who focus exclusively on things that they hate.
Thank you
Those first issues were definitely quite good. Though even if that was the direction you wanted to go, interrupting a wildly successful run to do it like Jemas wanted takes the kind of madness that lets me know I could never be an editor/exec. Don’t rock the boat when the sailing is smooth
Haussmann is doing a vid on my favorite marvel team
Sue does end up teaching in the future foundation.
I can't find this damn book anywhere!! I've been wanting to read but all editions are out of print
What if The Beatles all had to get real jobs?
Would've been interesting (maybe) to have had Willie Lumpkin, HERBIE, and some civilian Baxter Building personnel become a makeshift FF to fight their way to Psycho Man and handle it themselves. Reed's abandoned gizmos and whatnot. As I'm typing I'm realizing what a dumb idea this is 😂😂
Lol
That could be super fun with the right writer. Byrne would KILL that story!
That was a good book
This guy seem to make his life around the FF but dont even understand how that was an attempt to go back to the roots of the first few issue where they were hardly in their superhero outfits and were always doing normal things before they come together for the threat. The only thing missing in the modern attempt at that is the '4' flare in the sky. To a normal intellegence having human being that wiuld be obvious and not need to be said
Me? I make my life around the Fantastic Four? I missed that
