So I didn’t disable the steam input for the controller so it is still working like it was prior to the patch. To be homiest I am scared to disable it. Anyone done this and were you able to go back if you did not like the presets in game?
You are probably that guy i told on Moramma Global chat to disable your steam input, is totally fine, you can disable or enable it anytime lol
It’s 100% fine, that’s what I recommend doing, turn off steam controller support and use native

I do not feel this dev team is on the same page and really don't know what they are doing, It really shows since with all the issues this game continues to have and the extremely lackluster interviews they give show they don't know how to handle the community either. The game has massive potential but these devs are running this game into the ground.
They don't know what they are doing from the day 1.

As someone who play new world on beta and returned 2 times, i actually love its simple battle system. The problem is that for rral endgame dungeon and pvp, you have to spend time collecting all of those traits. You want to be ready for tier 3 dungeon, you have to own multiple equiment specific for mutator and boss. And for pvp you need your own set of trait. Yes you can pvp with any equipment, but those trait do make a difference.
The sad thing is new world have something other than dungeon and opr, like trial, and raid boss. But no one even bother with those event, because the lack of rewards and participant. And the only thing AGS did to improve is locking artifact behind those useless content.
I love new world and have been playing since beta. I have 1800Plus hours on live and i want nothing more for this game to succeed but im also not blind to all the issues that is why im starting to view new world as a testing grounds to enhance the engine for LOTRO2 and if new world is better for it (In the long run) and LOTRO2 launches someday and is amazing because of the trials new world has gone through, i can say that im hopeful for the future of both games and that is good enough for me right now.

I could never get the game to launch. Tried deleting all the local and roaming files and ags and the certificates folder and everything else found on youtube.... still won't launch.
I think it should be cross play like Fortnite. Pc and console players on same server.
With Season 5 combat rework is new world still working for you on steamdeck? (apparently some ppl for whom it worked fine are now having issues).
I agree that cross server is the best option (only option really), but I'm not convinced that they will be able to pull it off or that its even in scope for what they're planning.
Realistically, I think they will announce consoles, it will be segmented away from the PC player base at launch. Then be road mapped to combine them later.
With regards to the hints to Pets......
the way new world threw in a suprise like Music
I think they may throw in a brand new Tradeskill called Trapping.
Where you actual use Traps out in the open world, leveling it and capturing new and improved pets like pokemon
3k+ hours player, I just deleted the game after season went live, a game should be enjoyable not frustrating, makes me sad because I really do love the game but for now, It is what it is.
Definitely the movement doesn't feel good. Sometimes I slide and not sure why but now when I use some animations and try to dodge doesn't work it freezes for very very short time but is annoying all it takes for u to get 1 shot. But the all system was all revamped so we need this will be coming with some issues, is not excuses but still. I like the mount in oprs feels so good no more handicap players.
@Ginger Prime You should make a video that shows people step by step how to turn off steam input and use the controller native. I think a lot of people are struggling with this.
The lowest Player Count is lower
The player return / bump from every patch is steadily in decline.
The speed those who do pop back to check out a new patch leaving is quicker
Of course NW isnt going away but its not far from being in maintenance mode or just sidelined
tbf... maybe you don't notice the changes to movement as much, because your a controller player? The changes for you probaly feel more natural so the changes are less notable. To me, movement is somehow "smoother" and clunkier at the same time... like your running in sand almost, but can turn on a dime. The movement feels less "realistic" and less grounded. I understand adding controller for console support... in my eyes it should be a choice to opt into, it shouldn't effect WASD player movement.
You could be onto something with that, and controller for sure.
Am a Dev and I think you should do a vid on how the change from scripting to C++ will affect the game and why they would not have done it in the first fuccing place!

yeah they may be referring to something more akin to Blueprint visual scripting like in Unreal engine, it allows for fast game design and iteration but its less efficient than C++

End game is pvp/war IMHO progression goes somewhat like this -> level up-> get gear score to enter mutations-> get to m2-> grind opr for artifacts-> do m3s -> wars
need full fledged raid content. :\
Still using a modified version of your control style, it's better. I'm having trouble having to do so much pve just to build up my stuff for pvp, when I don't find the lore of New World to be very creative or well thought out, the map looks good, monsters are ok but the game needs more flying monsters, griffins, dragons. the name of the game itself is a bit generic lol, wish we had character recreation and different heights and builds, we're all skinny like Bezos.
The ice-skating movement is one of the most talked about and quite frankly hated parts about ESO. Just floaty movement and combat.
So to see that in NW is actually quite massive. That's really bad.

I took a two month break from game and then came back. If you’re feeling unhappy with the game, take a break.
I used to play all the time but races are dead now and I love pvp but you don't get anything for it. Can't progress my character any further because rewards are BAD and have been from day 1. No ranked arena either, just bugs and empty promises from the devs.
I'm enjoying helldivers immensely tho

If there were pets I would want cosmetic b/c I’d hate for there to be a pet meta. I’m also a console separatist b/c I don’t want to inherit all the PC problems and toxicity. Console players often have a different more casual attitude.

Console, cute pve, pets, and soon furries. I guess they trying to get final fantasy crowd since NW has no identity left anymore.
They really need to make PvP have it where you lose a majority of your gear you’re wearing if you die. It just doesn’t feel like PvP is rewarding or has stakes.

Man, I see a lot of back seat developers in the comments that understand some concepts but don't fully appreciate what it takes.
I can get that people are upset about certain aspects, all I can say is I'm still having fun when I play, and that's all that matters to me.

A lot of us are 40 plus years old and not just back seat developers but actual real developers who have to produce quality content for the companies we work for or we get fired.
@@anthonyortenzio9144 I get that, my whole life has been in software dev. I'm not arguing that they're perfect or making excuses, but there are also people who I don't think really understand the scale and impact of some of these changes or what went into them.
It doesn’t matter how bad AGS poops the community will give them a pass for some excuse. They haven’t had a single smooth content drop since the game came out. They don’t need excuses inserted they just aren’t a good dev team. My hope is something changes prior to them ruining Lord of Rings IP.

New World developers are awful. They constantly re-introduce old bugs, which means they don't add unit and/or functional test cases for issues they fix, which means they don't know how to do a proper software development.
All these debacles looks really bad and that gives a really good idea about how lotr gonna look.

swimming is not content, controller support is not content, console support is not content. game needs content. we have the same opr map since launch. they release a raid that they built up over 6 months just to make it trivial content in the next 6 months. there is far less people actually playing the game then the number sshow aswell. you know how many people that war have 3-4 accounts? tons. there is no content and no player base. game is dead pull the plug and say good bye

There are PvP players who are stuck playing the PvE to progress or PvP players who are gone and at this point given up on the game. But if this is the hill they want to fight on the that is on them. But now that they’ve announced that they are PvE centric that is against the original vision of the game and that is why I haven’t gone back.
And they havent done anything new to PvE either they just suck so bad. 😂

I just came back to check how new world going after quit if for like 1-2 years ago, idk 1-2 weeks after the release of that sand area. And its insane that they are still pushing out updates that will "base" something great later and simply have nothing to offer now. this is even lower than what I expected from this game lmao. Had to watch some streams what are people doing lately in the game, and I cant believe to my eyes, yall still farming genesis and shit from release and having wars on the same map from release. No way people still playing this, no foking way.
I agree largest problem is they rushed into development without laying solid ground work. If you build systems for adding content easy it might take longer to initially release but you can crank put content faster. WoW was set up like that with heavy emphasis on systems, not a big WoW fan anymore but it's shown over the years on how essential that ground work was.
S5 is an absolute shitshow. AGS is the worst "game studio" i've ever seen. All of their last videos were "we are trying to improve, delays because of better quality updates". Now look at that piece of a garbo patch. I uninstalled for good now. Gave New World 3 chances! Played since start, then Fresh Start, then came back for S4. EVERY TIME they fucked it up. Im done with this shit show.
They've made some big mistakes for sure, but worst ever is a bit hyperbolic.
@@Lightor I do not know of any game studio which fucks up releases on such a constant basis. Blizzard, EA etc. suck aswell but they suck big time once or twice per game, not continuesly.
