I heard him on a local radio station with fans calling in. One caller said:
"Well actually Brian I'm a Manchester United supporter".
    Cloughie replied:
"Well when I was young I caught measles but I got over it"
There's only one Brian Clough. Legend.

Clough was one of, if not the best managers of all time. I can't see how some can say he was average???? Mainly them who say that are Leeds Utd fans but seriously at that time Don Revie was a father figure to Bremner and co, any manager would have found it tough to take on the job... it was just more difficult for Cloughie because if he was to win over the leeds players he would have had to go against his philosophy of the game... R.I.P SIR BRIAN CLOUGH

@msec Ses No, he's on the money. a few different interviews at the time show him foreshadowing what the top division was about to become. And whilst the game is better for the sports science and athletics sides, money has sucked out a lot of the joy, passion and character of the sport. Its why I only watch lower league football, they might be crap but at least they're honest.
