I fitted K75 throttle bodies to my 3 cylinder car engine and had to dismantle the entire assembly and make a new frame because the port spacing is different. Although I roughly set up the butterflies using the torch method I used a carb sync tool once they were on the engine. The tool is fitted into each intake in turn and it indicates the individual airflows with the engine idling.
Yeah it's a simple task but there's a lot of negativity about these screws and why you shouldn't touch them, but hopefully this helps if you do decide to adjust them.
Hey Ben, I am hoping you will still get notifications on your videos many years later. Can you point me in the direction of the 3D printed advancement part you made for the TPS?
You can also use the valve guage to check if you have the same gap in each throttle body. I found this method on ones of the forums and had very good results with that.
Great vid Ben 👌 I did the torch method with mine and got it fairly close but now I understand the bearing method I'd love to give it a crack next time the TB's are off 😉 I also did the homemade manometer from bits around the garage and about $10 worth of stuff from the hardware store. Pretty easy project if your only going to use it a couple of times. I have a vid on my YT channel if interested in making one. Keep the good vids coming mate 💪
Hello. I want to soften the force I exert on the throttle grip because I have a particular problem with my wrist. I have oiled the wire rope and all friction points. I am thinking το remove one of the 3 springs. Do you think this is possible? Does the system works with one spring less?
Hi Ben, another great video, thanks for share these, they have been really helpful. Can you remember when you attached the Throttle position sensor if it went on easy, I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to get mine back on, are these meant to just slide on. I can't attached the screws because it sticks out too far. Any help would be appreciated.
I need support/advise by an expert as you are. I replaced the 3 injectors on my 1991 k75 bike. With some hesitation it starts but revs up only to 3000rpm . No way to go further the 3000 rpm. Any idea about it? Tks a lot from Rome.
Hey Ben! great video. I have replaced my set screws as well. Why does everyone on the internet freak about about touching them? As long as you get the butterflies to open together you are good right?
Hey Dan, people get scared and try to warn off others from adjusting them. If you take your time you can get them near on perfect, but you will need to adjust them with a throttle body syncing tool once the bike is running.
@Eight20 Thank You. I refreshed them on my K75 and get high idle speed (about 1200-1300 rpm), after that i used screws showned in your video and synchronized them by hearing ( i hope it will works and it works, atm 950+_ rpm). I won`t dissassamble it again. So could You give me advise, if i was wrong when assemble, may be i get large gap between butterflies and bodies and it will wear out?

Please make a video about synchronizing the throttle bodies, great video btw
Will do, need to get it running first 👍
Suddenly a lot less intimidated by this task. Thanks for the info!

@@Eight20 Its impossible to clean the thing correctly without taking it apart. Mine was pretty filthy.

But the method with washers looks good too and might be effective.
I've seen it done that way too, I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat.

I did watch your video a few times, I may have to give that setup a go!
Great video Ben, very informative!
Cheers Mike.

Hi Keith, the sensor should just slide on freely, you may have to rotate it to get it line up but there's not reason it won't slide on. Thanks.

@@Eight20 thats my project for tomorrow. wish me luck. cheers!
Hello Ben. Can i do it without disassembling? I’ve already clean throttle bodies and assemble it and won’t reap off it again(
Of course, I only disassemble mine to blast and polish them. Aligning them is just an adjustment of the screws.

If you have gaps between the butterflies, that means your throttle is slightly open, you need to sync them using the ball bearing method.
@@Eight20 ok thank You! Good rides!
You should build a flow bench.
Haha, easier said than done.
