I love this tune! Perfect pop craftsmanship. Sloan makes it look so easy, but they're just using their unfair advantage - four very capable songwriters and singers.
I totally agree with you there. I grew up listening to a lot of great Canadian bands such as ~ Tea Party ~ I Mother Earth ~ Our Lady Peace ~ Killjoys ~ 13 Engines ~ Big Wreck ~ Thornley ~ Big Sugar ~ Wide Mouth Mason ~ Out Of Your Mouth ~ 54•40 ~ Rusty ~ Salmonblaster Etc. I’m actually going to see “Sloan” this evening (Nov.25.2022) at the “London Music Hall” in London,Ontario. I’m really looking forward to finally seeing them live after all these years 🤘
Yep, they just keep putting out quality albums consistently. An embarrassment of riches after 30 years, earning a spot right up there as my second favourite band of all time. Given who I hold dear at the top, that's impressive company.
I caught the Hamilton show, and it was great to finally see the band live again. Steady is a very solid album and, with each listen, has been Steadily working its way up the list of rankings in their catalogue, right up there with the best of them. Destined for "classic album" status. I'm pleased the band included every album track in their setlist - no apologies necessary.
Please come to Japan in a year or so after the pandemic subsides. Even if you don't sell out, you'll get at least a little exposure to a new generation, plus you'll please the older Sloan fans. Don't come now though. We in Japan still are careful about this whole Corona thing. Fall 2023 would be perfect.
I crashed a car listening to Twice Removed back in 1995. This has me feeling just as amped! Nice one boys. Not got gunna lie though...I kinda miss Wizard Patrick.
Saw them live in 1998 at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver. They blended each song into the next. That was a nice touch. Keeps the adrenalin up.
What's going on with Patrick here? 😂 He's cracking me up, he usually maintains a fairly stern look, when he isn't busy channeling a wizardly J Mascis...
@@JacobWeinberg I saw them live two weeks ago. It's obviously not what it was (especially compared to the other guys) but he honestly sounded better than he has over the last few years.
I'm so embarassed I never heard of these guys until a month ago. What a great tune! 🤩🎶🎧🎙🎸🥁🎵
You've got thirteen new albums from thirty years to gorge on.
@@guessundheit6494 😁👌🎶👍
I love that the dude who sings least is their best singer.
What an amazing band. A treasure. All killer no filler.
I love this tune! Perfect pop craftsmanship.

Thirty years, and they're still pumping out classics.
And it's a treat to see Jay Ferguson singing a single.
I agree!!! 🥰😘🤗🧚
Jay definitely brought the goods on Steady - all single-worthy.
Jay's been killing it for a few albums now. 🤘
Jay hit it big on this album imho
Throwback to their animated album cover videos, Losing California and Money City Maniacs!
Total ear candy! Sloan is my comfort band.

THANK YOU for continuing to bless the world with excellent rock and roll!
Sloan saved my life at the end of the nineties and the magic is still there after all this years!
Been following them since Twice Removed and the songwriting just got better and better. This band is miraculous.
I don't know how these guys do it. Perfection every single time.
Been playing "Steady" pretty steady 😉 since its release. Great album from start to finish.🔥
Me too!
Same here as well. This album hit me the same as Navy Blues did. A true classic!!!
30 years of loving this band and they just keep cranking out classics. Brilliant tune!
I love watching Patrick have fun, especially at 2:10
I love it, great to see another Jay video

Gawd DAMN I am loving this record 🎸

Love this song. Also 1:51 made me laugh.
As someone who wears glasses I can attest to the fact that the struggle is real. When you are rockin’ they just want to bail on you…
Oh yeah, in concert he's constantly pushing his glasses back on!
SLO-OAN. Saturday January 28th baby
Uptempo melodies and harmonies. Perfect !
Legendary as always!
Great tune. "And Your Bird Can Sing" ending on the bass.

Ooh! I love it!!! You guys are awesome. Love your lead, Jay!
This is a #1 song on any radio station that likes good music.
A hunch tells me that Andrew is morphing into (or at least channeling the energy of) Charlie Watts...
I noticed that too, less muscular, move groove. And a fancier outfit.
@@drsloanski Exactly. Moving kinda jazz-like (looking like it, too).
HECK YES!!
This might be their best album!
The Halifax boys have another good one.
Toronto now and since the 90s.
THAT'S GREAT !
If you wait a while we will be back in style 😎
Excited to hear this live next week! ❤️
This song is very 1978/1979.
Gregory cameo at 1:38? ;-)

Come to NYC pleeease
It's incredible these guys still rock this hard after so long, meanwhile I'm groaning about getting out of bed every day >_
Amazing show in Halifax!!! Thank you. Patrick has awesome evil wizard hair! Cool!
Rockin'! 🤘
Already one of my all-time favorite Sloan tunes. Amazing.
Can't wait to see them rock out on November 26 💗🎶
Stoked to finally see you guys play live very soon after all these years.
I'm stoked to see you guys live soon!

I think this is my favourite song from Steady. It’s pop perfection!
Fab!
Whoooooo omg I love this guy 🥰😍💙
Legends!!!
Lovin' this one!
New Sloan? I like it!
Yeah 😃
Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do… whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
😍😍😍😍
Andrew just reminds me of Charlie Watts here....heh....and Patrick is smirking a lot.....whenever he sings "yeah" in particular....hehe
patrick walked here from the scratch the surface video, in same outfit
✌🧡
New song!!! New record soon?
It’s already out!
What's going on with Patrick here? 😂 He's cracking me up, he usually maintains a fairly stern look, when he isn't busy channeling a wizardly J Mascis...
Sounds like the cars
if your glasses ever start falling of your face just use the mic to push em back up....lol
If you lose your what?
Who are "they"? And why are they calling your name out?
The mystery deepens...
Andrew is losing his will to live 😂
Writes great songs, but guy's voice is shot.
Channeling his inner Charlie Watts here I reckon.

@@mapleleafmitch That's good to know. I hope to see these guys the next time they are south of the border.
Nah, he’s always been stoic like this. His perma resting bitch face. He’s the heartbeat.
