With every new release I worry my favorite band might slip in songwriting, performing, etc. And with every new release I get the chills & know Sloan is better than ever! And all is right with the world. 💚
1. Great tune! 2. Keepin' it in Toronto & making it look like the world class city it is!! 3. Jay Ferguson finding (and taking) Jay Ferguson!!! (I actually discovered the "old" Jay Ferguson last year when I Googled looking for the "young" Jay Ferguson -- and now I love both!)
How can Patrick keep writing such great songs? Sounds like it could have been written 20 years ago but still sounds modern and fresh. Awesome job guys!
I was 18 years old and still in high school when I interviewed Sloan for WRPI (Troy, NY baby!) in 1993. It's insane how Sloan are THIS good 30 years into their career. This has to be one of their best power pop rockin' masterpieces to date. And yes, they still make me wish I was Canadian. :)
So new to me is Sloan a Canadian rock band formed in 1991! Yes, how I managed to not know about them is mad! I will be listening to a lot of Sloan from now on. 😊👍
Saw them in Philly tonight. No legacy band would put on the show they did. That was as vital and dynamic a rock and roll gig as I will ever see. Phenomenal.
Sloan definitely has a “sound” but always manage to make each song so fresh and unique from the others. Love it! (And hats off to Haris for a job well done!)
This song rocks as all Sloan singles do. I can always count on them, been so since 95. Got some Money City Maniacs vibes during the verses. We are so lucky to have Sloan still rocking all these years.
@@shadowselfCA Yes!!!! Great point. Great video though. I am counting down the days for when I can listen to the whole album. Can’t wait to hear the other contributions from Jay, Chris, and Andrew. Sloan is the only band I know with contributions from all 4 members on each album. The fact that the band has stayed together so long we are truly blessed as fans
Oh cool you guys got it up! I know you were having trouble but I'm in Japan and I can see it now :) Great video! Jay is my favorite 😂 That is pretty much me too. I even dream about digging though crated ha ha Love how the first record pulled in Nardwaur the Legend :)

Don't worry, just enjoy the ride

hows the music indistry in Toronto ? what are the chances of making it famous in a band out there ? im From BC so just wondering
Sloan is unlike other bands. They deliver great new songs with every album. Been a fan for over 24 years and here's to another 20 years of Sloan. 🍻👍

Greetings from Troy!
@@BrunswickWax amazing to find another Capital District Sloan fan here! :)
Wow!!!
I feel safer already knowing Sloan is on patrol. I'm looking forward to this album more than I realized.
What a jam! Love that glitched out guitar solo.

Loved Andrew's Pirates hat!
YESSSS, love it!! Jay apparently has no time for The Stranglers, hahaha
Saw them in Saskatoon, they still blow me away after 30 years!
Those drone shots are incredible! Sloan looking and sounding as cool as ever. Can’t wait to hear this song live!!
Seven months later, this video still holds out as an awesome video and song.
I wish the algorithm will show some love and give it a bigger audience.
I wonder if that milk crate of records is still there?? I need that Stranglers album!
What? New Sloan music! Yes! 🤘🤘🤘 Been listening to these guys since 1995 🙂
Yeah!! Baby!!! Just love it, thank you for decades of great music!
Can't go wrong with a (new) classic Sloan song!
This song is soooo good! I love how Chris Murphy just gives you a little bit of the groovy bass lines at a time making you want it more and more
SLOAN always has some killer songs
Jay rolling his eyes at that Stranglers record - for shame!
Runnymede Station! The true centre of Toronto!!
Sloan definitely has a “sound” but always manage to make each song so fresh and unique from the others. Love it! (And hats off to Haris for a job well done!)
Back in the 90s, I remember seeing the bass player, Chris, at a subway station waiting for the train in Toronto. That was pretty cool.
They never dissapoint ❤
Cool looking video and great sounding song. 😁
30 + plus and still can bring it
Toronto looks Epic!
Great tune. Thank you Sloan !
This song rocks as all Sloan singles do. I can always count on them, been so since 95. Got some Money City Maniacs vibes during the verses. We are so lucky to have Sloan still rocking all these years.
Kinda like if Money City Maniacs was in 4 instead of in 6.

Haha Thunder Island Jay Ferguson. I remember him...but a pass over The Stranglers?
Greetings from Bedford, NS. Sounds great!

Awesome video! Love all the aerial shots. Totally captures the songs vibe.
Hearing this song live was AMAZING !!!!! Please do yourself a favor and look up when Sloan will be in your neck of the woods then buy a ticket!
That solo!!!
Superb Sloan better with age
Love this tune! Nicely done! Great Toronto shots!
I know the band is from Nova Scotia. Didn't think these city shots were from there. Beautiful looking city even though I'm a country boy
This song is so great. Upbeat instruments, cheers me up.
Sloan are Legends!
'Money City Maniacs' renewed :)
Love that they continue to make and release quality, original music.
At the Parry Sound show last night! What a great venue and show...new songs are great as always...Sssslllloooaaaannnn!!!
Apparently there are 188 Sloan songs now. I'm calling STS as top 15, maybe higher.
Jay, why the eye roll at the Stranglers LP? It’s a classic!
Sooooo nice to see these guys! A staple Canadian act.
It took me one listen and i was hooked. This song makes me feel good. Love the guitar solo!
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Fandamntastic!
For the last 30 years Sloan been rocking Canada.
Yes! They’re back!
The Jay Ferguson joke is easily the best thing in this clip
J’aime beaucoup cette chanson ! Venez jouer dans la ville de Québec! Come to play at QUÉBEC CITY ! 👍🎸🤘

Woof… that solo! Rips!
Yep. They still got it.
This song is the CDN Covid antidote! And thank God for that. Man.
Filmed At The Iconic Dundas Square In Toronto Love This Place
Didn't think I could miss Toronto any more than I do - then you drop this.
Me too.
And definitely welcome the 5th member of the band in this video - Toronto! TDot 4Life! Brings back memories and rock n' roll!
Love this!!Great song and video (love the humour).

They cannot ever miss!!! They're songs are gold!!!
Well done, lads. We've all aged gracefully...

Nice cameo by a John Allan Cameron LP!
Heard on indie88!! So good!!
Oh cool you guys got it up! I know you were having trouble but I'm in Japan and I can see it now :) Great video! Jay is my favorite 😂 That is pretty much me too. I even dream about digging though crated ha ha
Love how the first record pulled in Nardwaur the Legend :)
I choose to believe that Jay bypassed the Stranglers record, in the crate, because he already has a copy...
Because otherwise, that is a mistake.
I’m sure all the records in that crate were from his own collection.
What did The Stranglers do to offend Jay? Black And White is a great album ;)
Why the reaction to The Stranglers album I wonder...
Don’t recognize that city any more. It has changed so much in the last 15 years.
Patrick looking good!
He looks at the Stranglers record and passes lol.
✌️💖🤟
100%!
Money City Maniacs 2
F*CKING. RIGHTS!
Love The Evaporators record!
I yelled out "NARDWUAR!" when I saw it.
Nice JAMC shirt, Pat 😉
'Liquor and drugs' ;)
Foreshadowing Panic on Runnymede?
Laughing so hard at the video as a resident in the GTA
I like it, a bit 867-5309, but upbeat for Patrick. Kinda odd though to release 2 Patrick songs first though. Love how Jay found his musical namesake.
✌🧡
CANCELLING Sloan because Chris Murphy putting his feet on the TTC seats.
😂😂😂
Fuckin' EH!!!!
🎉 I got my new song
Would not have sounded out of place on Action Pact.
