There is a pre-programmed warning they have in it that comes on after 3 years but the battery may still be ok.
try the following and see does it clear the fault:
REPLACE BATTERY PACK RESET MENU Quantum
enter engineer mode 4567+user code screen will say 'Service Menu' press yes
press next until 'Engineer Tools Menu' press yes
press next until 'Battery Menu' press yes
press next until 'Replace Battery' press yes
screen will say 'battery has been replaced'
then hit quit a few times until screen says 'exit engineer?' press yes
    that should do it
if it still complains of low battery then it is actually low

Excellent video, rare to see such clear instructions along with an identical product model. Quick question, if the alarm engineer has changed the engineer code, what are my options in trying to reset the battery error code. Is there any way of working around the engineer code to stop getting the 'service battery pack in control panel needs replacing' warning every time we set the alarm? We're in the house a few years and have no contact with the original engineer to try and get this sorted. If nothing else, could we just buy the €25 replacement battery and change it and will the battery warning reset automatically?

    • @GardAlarms
      @GardAlarms  3 роки тому +5

the warning won't reset, you have to reset it in engineer mode
if you don't have the engineer code then you can try default the code
there is a small black jumper on top right of pcb remove it then power down system and power back up
it will say default all? DO NOT PRESS YES!!!! press next and it will give option to default codes
press yes and it will reset the user code to 1111 and the engineer code to 4567
put the jumper back on and close panel lid
      reset the time and date
enter engineer mode and create a new user code of your own choosing but leave engineer code at 4567
      To change user code:
key in 4567+user code screen will say 'Service Menu'
press next until 'Users Menu' press yes
screen will say 'User Codes' press yes
screen will say 'Code 1 in use' press yes
key in new 4 digit code with no zeros press yes
screen will say 'Verify' put code in again and press yes
      screen will say 'Successful'
press quit a few times until 'exit engineer?' press yes
NOTE if the default option doesn't come up that means the panel is engineer locked and you are stuck

@@GardAlarms Good evening, that seems relatively easy enough. I am just wondering where this jumper is. I will open up the box tomorrow and have a look, so it's in the very top right of the PCB. Once I remove that jumper do I just turn off the mains or how do I power down the system?
Again very clear instructions, so thank you very much for this. Everything else is crystal clear so hopefully the system is not engineer locked and I can fix this annoying message constantly saying that the battery needs replacing. It's also been saying service due, but hopefully once it is all reset, that will end as well. Thanks so much for your help, I'll let you know how it goes

hi the battery for the wireless devices is CR123A - Battery 3V Lithium
The siren needs 6 batteries and 12 if you have a double battery pack
    The PIR Camera needs 2
The wireless remote keypad needs 4
All the other sensors need 1 each

Hi you can do it if you have the engineer code. The default engineer code is 4567 + user code.
TO DISCONNECT OLD WIFI AND CONNECT TO NEW WIFI
use prev, next, yes, no and quit to navigate
enter engineer mode by typing 4567+user code
      screen will say 'Service Menu'
press next until 'Comms Menu' press yes
press next until 'Communicators' press yes
press next until 'wifi/ethernet' press yes
select 'Disable wifi' press yes and it will disconnect from old wifi
select 'Enable wifi' press yes and it will start to scan
when it finds the local wifis choose the one you want and press yes then enter the password
use the number keys and press several times for letters and more times for capital letters
then press yes and it will connect
      when it says 'connected ok'
press quit a few times until screen says 'exit engineer'
      press yes

To reset the warning you require the engineer code which is 4567 by default
If that doesn't bring you in to engineer mode then the installer has changed it
To reset the warning follow these instructions
REPLACE BATTERY PACK RESET MENU Quantum
    70
enter engineer mode 4567+user code screen will say 'Service Menu' press yes
press next until 'Engineer Tools Menu' press yes
press next until 'Battery Menu' press yes
press next until 'Replace Battery' press yes
screen will say 'battery has been replaced'
then hit quit a few times until screen says 'exit engineer?' press yes
    that should do it
if it still complains of low battery then it is actually low
