Excellent video, rare to see such clear instructions along with an identical product model. Quick question, if the alarm engineer has changed the engineer code, what are my options in trying to reset the battery error code. Is there any way of working around the engineer code to stop getting the 'service battery pack in control panel needs replacing' warning every time we set the alarm? We're in the house a few years and have no contact with the original engineer to try and get this sorted. @@GardAlarms Good evening, that seems relatively easy enough. I am just wondering where this jumper is. I will open up the box tomorrow and have a look, so it's in the very top right of the PCB. Once I remove that jumper do I just turn off the mains or how do I power down the system? Again very clear instructions, so thank you very much for this. Everything else is crystal clear so hopefully the system is not engineer locked and I can fix this annoying message constantly saying that the battery needs replacing. It's also been saying service due, but hopefully once it is all reset, that will end as well. Thanks so much for your help, I'll let you know how it goes
@@GardAlarms Good afternoon again, just a quick question. I reset the battery low on system and the engineer code worked exactly as you said. Hi Colm, what would you recommend if your HKC Quantum 70 has a tamper proof setting when you come to undo the 2 screws to open the panel to access to internal battery and your alarms gets triggered?

Hi Aengus you fitted an HKC Qantum 70 in my house with RF sensors on windows/doors. about 18 months ago and in the HKC log and on the alarm panel it says that there is an RF Comms fault on one wireless sensor. Does that mean the battery is dying or the sensor needs replacing?
