Brilliant and very easy to follow. Thank you
My pleasure
Thanks changed both of mine and saved me getting engineer out and saved me £££££ thanks for video and your time showing us
I am happy it helped you.
Good instructions.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for this confirmation - the manual is troublesome to follow. I nearly fell off the step ladder I was on when the tamper alarm went off it was so loud. My ears were ringing for a good 2 hours after changing just one battery haha got ear protection for the next one.
Glad it helped
Hi Toni, great video which helped me when I changed the batteries in the pet sensor PIR which is different to the one in your video but same make. I’ve had the same sensor low battery alarm in again on the same sensor and just followed your video again as a reminder. However, on this occasion the fault alarm of low battery will not reset? I’ve checked the voltages of the old and new batteries, old ones just over 3 v the new ones 3.25 v so I guess the new ones should be fine. Could you offer any advice on why the fault alarm won’t reset on this occasion? Thanks in advance 🙏
Hi tony - I’m about to do some decorating- I take it the process for removing the sensor off the wall will be the same as this?
HI Toni, i changed the batteries as per your video, but i keep getting red, blue and green flashing light son the pir. Any ideas?
If you put the panel into engineers mode, the alarm won't go off when you remove the cover of the PIR's and Magnetic door sensors.
If they have the engineer code they should know how to change a device battery.
The battery low warning message and beeping for one of my sensors came on at 4pm today, better that it happened then than at 4am! I was in at the time, got my stepladder and screwdriver and the battery which I had obtained in readiness, and followed this procedure, all good. However, I didn't hold the cover when unscrewing it and it fell onto the floor, something to bear in mind when the next sensor battery fails!
oops. Ideally you should change all the batteries at the same time.
This woke me up at 4am this morning, really disconcerting to hear those loud beeps in the middle of the night
If "a friend" tells you that "Some of these devices have two batteries because they are further away" your friend is WRONG. As you see in the video, there is only one battery, if you have a device with two batteries, it is NOT this detector.
See ABOVE A "DT" is NOT a PIR. DT stands for Duel Technology. It has TWO devices (One is a PIR the other is a Microwave) in the SAME package (box) The idea is they BOTH have to "see" something before the device goes into alarm.
Hi Tony brilliant video. I'm just stuck on one thing which is after changing the hallway battery it's still showing on the panel it is " landing wireless battery low " even though I've changed it as you said. It's flashing an orange triangle on the panel all the time.
You have either done it wrong or it was the wrong detector. It worked first time for everyone else.
Hi Toni - a great video. I wish I’d seen it before I had a go.
I think I have done something wrong and pressed the d Button.
I now have a 485comms lost message. Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks.
Hi I’m still getting the tamper alert on my panel it’s not going away please can you advise thank you
Lid isn't closed properly
I guess the same process for doing a door/window sensor also. Thanks

Is there a way to change the panel home screen message. Thanks again.
@@danielbone100 Yes, but it is via engineers menu.
Any ideas to gain access without the code.
@@danielbone100 You can't.
How do you stop the beeping if you've forgotten the code? I can't sleep at night because the alarm keeps beeping every 20 minutes or so.
The incentive is to remember the code to stop the beeping
CR123A 3 volt? Thanks
I did this and got restore required
I changed a battery before seeing this video. I had the same problem as you, apparently (according to the display and the 60 page installation manual) it requires Engineer Code to clear it. However, after some time (and button pushing/cursing) it went away! It's a strange system; rather over complicated for domestic purposes.
@@SaxJockey The worst user interface I have ever seen
@@petert3343 So it's not just me that got confused by the UI 🤪. The use of the various buttons (Yes, No, A, B, C, D) for different menus. I would like to explore all the menus, but afraid something may go horribly wrong, so I only dive in to carry out any essential maintenance work.
Some PIRs take 2 cells ; especially if they are some way away from the main unit.
I suggest you read the post I made 9 months ago regarding this.
@@tonipeters4543 I have read your comment Toni. All I can say is that my comment was made based purely on my own experience. I have a Pyronix system in my bungalow exactly the same as the one in your video. It has 11 PIRs and a door entry with a standard Deltabell sounder and a dummy unit at the rear. The two PIRs that are furthest from the control unit are exactly the same as the others but with slightly different circuitry fitted with two CR123A batteries. When I asked a battery supplier why this was I was told that it was because they were such a considerable distance from the main unit.
@@leoseries You have answered your own question. You said "but with slightly different circuitry" so if it is different it can't be the same. These two detectors, would they be in a garage and a shed? I suspect they are what is known as Dueltecs, The supplier who told you, is just that, a supplier/seller he has no need of technical knowledge. The pirs you have, have a radio range of close to 300 feet.
Dueltecs are often used in garages /sheds/ outbuildings, as they work differently, and are too expensive to use everywhere.
