That’s great that you have all those things to protect yourself.
I know you’re probably trying not to offend anybody by showing your weapons, but it’s your right to possess them. Just ignore the people who come against you for it. If they can’t respect your choices then that’s on them.
I often wondered about you wandering around by yourself and how you protect yourself, but I was sure you had the means.
Take care and thanks for bringing us along on all of your great adventures. God bless!

Letting people know she carries is a solid tactic in its own right. Perception is a strong deterrent, show of force without actual force is a more peaceful way of protecting.

Excellent video. After 28 years in LE, I support your point of view and your planning 100%. It's unfortunate that social media has become so touchy on the topic. I'm sure there are a lot of women out there who would love a deeper dive into self protection and empowerment. I read the first 20 comments or so and it appears you have great followers. Congratulations to your brother and we are grateful for his service. Thank you for all of your hard work. Stay safe.

Hannah. It is no one's business regarding your protection. It's personal. Your true followers here will support your rights to stay safe on your journeys. The others, which probably don't have a life, just 'feel' their "goal" in life is to shame others. As I stated before, your true followers will stand up beside you and support you 100%. Stay strong!💛😊

All your hard work, shot set-up, planning, editing, precious time spent on us and entertaining us, is a hallmark of ALL your videos, thank you so very much for sharing with us! Knowing that you have spent such thoughtful time in your personal protection is very reassuring and satisfying to know. I would like to compare "boxes" with you some time and share further of how we take care of ourselves. Again, very timely messages for personal protection and how serious it has become and also your message about loneliness, being positive and negative are so very important messages. We seem to be a nation divided and you offer sage and sound advice and positive energy. So glad your brother is now stateside. Tip on sighting in that crossbow: take the caps off the cross hair adjustment screws, shot off your tripod making sure to have a solid hold on the bulls eye, put your cross hairs back on the bulls eye, make sure that nothing moves, don't readjust the crossbow to move the cross hairs and make adjustments to the screw adjusters on the scope bringing the cross hairs to the bolt (arrow) or stick as you call it lol. Shoot it again and adjust if needed this will get you really close to zeroed in very quick and easy! Good luck

Love your protection collection Doc. I have been wanting to try a crossbow myself. My best advice for self protection whether in the wilderness or on a busy city street, is being aware of your surroundings at all times. Pay attention to what is going on around you. Lastly, use the 5 "P's". Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance. I always look forward to your posts Hannah. Have a great Thanksgiving and as always stay safe !

Your a Masterpiece Hannah ,However To sight your scope in Is easy Since your shooting top right set your bow in a steady rest Set the scope crosshairs at the bullseye of the bag approximately 15 yards away Without moving the bow gently turn the retical adjustments so it shows top right to where it's been shooting, Take another shot your arrow will be at center you may need to take a few trying to be as steady as possible ,If shooting to a zero'd area again not center Redo the adjustment center hairs readjust you will be at center or about an inch away A bullet is more easier to find in 2 shots Have a great day Love the shows.

If you carry a pistol, keep that to yourself. Better to surprise someone.

A big part of Special Operations is the additional and expanded use of other weapons combined and not just firearms alone. Archery equipment, knives, swords, tomahawks, tasers, stun guns, pepper spray etc etc etc. This crossbow shoots bolts over 400 fps. With a broadhead that is no joke and will do a lot of damage on both two and four leg animals.

Glad to know you can keep yourself safe out there. I have had 2 sketchy situations while off roading in the last 10 years. the first one I came across some dude out in the middle nowhere, in the mountains, with no vehicle. i stopped and ask if he was ok or if he need water or was broke down or something, then I got the felling i was being watched and could not shake it. so, when he said he was ok, i just moved on really quick. 2 months later the cops busted 3 people in illegal MJ grow operation right where I encountered that dude. I told some friends about it and they said that one of the other could have been watching you through a scope. it scared the hell out of me. The second time, I rolled up on some guy that had just poached a deer out of season and had just finished loading it on his quad. fortunately, he took off on his quad, rather that shoot at me. but it could have gone bad really fast had he not decided to run. I made the decision to GTFO and went back to town and reported the poaching to Nevada DWR.

Good day my dear Dr. Hannah, so good to see you. A few thoughts on today’s installment. Your face, it lit up after you fired your new “toy” and you exclaimed “that’s the coolest thing ever”. That was amazing. In The Cooking With Hannah segment, you nearly lost me when I thought you had forgotten the gravy, thank goodness you pulled it out at the end! The Thanksgiving Crunch Wrap is something I will definitely try this year and, who knows, maybe it will catch on and become tradition. And lastly, thank you for ‘having the talk’. It needed to be said and, although I don’t think I ever asked, I was pretty sure you were taking precautions in some way to protect yourself. As a father with a daughter probably around your age, I’ve had that talk with her and I know she’s extra cautious when she’s on her own. One thing I am going to look into is the Garmin InReach, thank you for bringing that to my attention. Take care of yourself a have a lovely Thanksgiving 🦃 🤗

You are correct Hannah, it looks like the scope needs to be zeroed; while keeping the crossbow as steady as possible, turn the vertical and horizontal dials to move the crosshairs to the center of the group and then just fine tune it and you should be good to go.
For crossbows, the arrows are actually called bolts.
I really enjoy archery hunting with both compound bows and crossbows.
Have fun Hannah and always be safe young lady!

THANK YOU! This has been a concern for a long time. People, especially women (don't pile on) need an equalizer, something to balance the scales. My daughter is probably your age and she does a lot of solo hiking and very long hies (4-5 months). THe Garmin is a great idea, as it let's selected individuals track you and know pretty accurately where you are. I hope people don't fault you for taking healthy precautions, especially considering the nature of your lifestyle. Bravo.

I love your light hearted bubbly attitude. Never loose it. Mixed feelings about exposing your personal protection. None of them have any use or value unless you take one with you every time you leave camp. And, close at hand in camp. Could be a direction in the future. I just think what you are doing is your unique thing and should keep it that way. BTW, I like the heathy meal preps you do. We can find unhealthy stuff everywhere. No problem with anything goes somethings. Fun travels Hot Hannah.

It looks like you have a well thought out plan. The key thing I learned is you have to decide can you pull the trigger when the time requires it with no hesitation. Stay safe and stay legal out there. Great videos by the way. I have been out of the RV scene/camping for 15 years or so and am now thinking of jumping back in again.

I am glad to see that you are not afraid to be prepared to handle those "not sunshine and rainbow" types of days. Maybe on a future video, you can explain your experiences on actually travelling and carrying your "protections". What have you had to do? what not to do? how do you travel with them?

So happy you take your protection seriously. Your wrap looked delicious. Have a great thanksgiving and stay safe. You have such a great attitude. Be careful on the motorcycle and I'm glad you had your helmet on.

I'm glad to hear you do not take your personal safety for granted! That makes me feel better. I have taught self-defense for a long time, I might reach out after the holidays and see if you would be interested in a collab.
