Hannah, I have a 2007 Tundra, one of the first year big truck. You can't beat a Toyota in my book.I have almost 250,000 mi on mine and have never had anything but the radio go bad, and it was covered by warranty. I have the 5.7 v8 and it is great but likes gas more than i would like. The one like you have there is plenty of HP and will have better MPG. The camper looks great, and as usual you do to. Have a wonderful Christmas and new year. I hope some day you get to Texas. I will be glad to have a cup of coffee or something better and just visit. Stay safe out there. Stocky.
Make sure to always use a high grade synthetic oil when you change it. Those turbos are picky. You might also want to get a PCV reroute with a catch can to keep oil out of the turbine itself. Have a Merry Christmas, and thanks for another informative video!
Got my 4 wheel camper about two months ago .. the Swift model and it's mounted on a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD OffRoad .. just back from another shakedown cruise .. I've made a bunch of small mod's to make the camper more homey .. been averaging about 16 mpg with this setup. 🤠

You are my favorite sparkling snowboarding Elf, yes I see you are an Elf and not any other creature, Doctor Hannah!! The Sprinter Van was small on the inside, smaller than your Ford. It didn't even have desk space. I'd look at something like what the Toyota has but for the Ford. Those have much more space. The Sprinter is ok for travelling between apartments a thousand miles apart, but not as much for full-time living, at least not when you're used to living in that Ford. @REDMAN298 she was giving a review on a very capable overland rig. A rig that 90 percent of people would happy with. I wouldn't read anymore into than that , she drove the Chevy rossmonster a few videos ago. Her product reviews are always entertaining and very informative, i wish she could review every rig out there .She's far from a traitor .
Can't go wrong with a Toyota. Nice rig.. Thanks for the great vids.. Added: The concern with the turbo is that if they get shut off at over 300 degrees, they cook the oil inside their bearings. The habit to get into is let it idle for at least a minute before shutting it off, so temps can stabilize. That's all.
Good review. Loved the whole setup except for the backseat as you said. I know from past videos you store a lot of excess gear there and the bigger the better! I do agree it is a nice daily driver. Everyone I know that has a Toyota loves them. As alway Doc, Have Fun!💜 Also, Merry Christmas!
Great video Doc! That Tundra looks pretty nice, but I’ll stick with my F-250. I just ordered a new Hawk with a rollover couch design in case a friend wants to crash on the couch. I also got the extended cab over, and the inside roof lifting actuator! Can’t wait till I get it in the spring. Hope to bump into you one day out in the woods, or at a hot spring! Hey a guy can dream right? As always you were a consummate spokesperson! Toyota and 4 wheel campers were lucky to have you! Happy Holidays!
I really dig the upholstery in that camper. The bears are a nice touch. Does it get decent mileage? Looks comfy. One thing though: all cars have a giant center console. Makes me miss bench seats. Yo sweetie can ride right next to you. More room for activities. 😂
Thank you for the great review on the rig. I’m thinking the airbag cup should’ve been attached to the frame rather than the axle. Less up sprung weight & It would allow gravity to work rocks & mud & debris out of the cup & not wear so much on the bag. Thank you again for sharing. Have a safe & wonderful Christmas Dr Hannah 🎄

Toyotas are reliable for sure, but get the V-8, been hearing bad things about the turbos on those and I definitely agree, whether it’s a super duty or an F150, it’s hard to beat the room in the back seat area! Another great review Hannah! You’re definitely one fantastic spokesperson and for sure “easy on the eyes” 😁🤘🏼😎

That Tundra is a double cab, which explains the lack of room. The crewmax however, is very spacious in the back seat area. Good video!
