@@GGoAwayy Well, that was about 55 years ago, so it seems to have worked out. If my grandkids today get a little scared, I let them know we're there for them. But I will say, I am proud when they are scared (of Doctors and such), I tell them it's okay to be afraid, but if they are afraid and do it anyway (they always do), then they are my Hero. A person who has fear and carries on has my respect, but I also understand the difference between being a youngster and an adolescent or adult.

Me too! I could never handle sleepovers at other girls houses. It was less bad when it was at my house or it was just me and my very best friend, but anything else was too overwhelming. I recently learned I’m on the autism spectrum and it explains so much of my childhood and why I disliked stuff like this. Thank you mom (and sometimes dad) fo always coming to get me.

I had initially planned to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money, but the impact of high prices on various goods and services has significantly disrupted my retirement plan. I'm worried about whether those who experienced the 2008 financial crisis had it easier than I currently am. The volatility of the stock market is a concern as my income has decreased, and I fear that I won't be able to contribute as much as before, potentially jeopardizing my retirement savings.

The increasing prices have impacted my plan to retire at 62, work part-time, and save for the future. I'm concerned about whether those who navigated the 2008 financial crisis had an easier time than I am currently experiencing. The combination of stock market volatility and a decrease in income is causing anxiety about whether I'll have sufficient funds for retirement.

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

I remember being this age and there was always one girl at the sleepover who couldn’t handle staying the whole night, started crying like a baby and wanting to go home for literally no reason. And then for some reason she’d be at the next sleepover too and waste everybody’s time yet again. 😂 Like the family in this skit, nobody seems to learn the lesson and stop inviting her!

I grew up with a single father who was over protective. After a birthday party, I tried to explain that I was just down the block and after trying to sleepover and failing, I begged him to just let me walk home. He still picked me up and all of my friends watched as we drove 4 houses down and went home. A mom like that might've been nice 🥲

It used to be SUPER awkward in the days before cellphones. I’d have to call my home on the landline of the person whose house I was at (and wanted to leave), and kind of hint to my mom that it would sure be great if there could be a major family emergency soon, so I could come home from this sleepover??? 😐
Thankfully she got it most of the time, and I could loudly say “oh no, grandma is in the hospital again?” Or whatever.
