Swapped out the vacuum pump and hpfp as per how you showed it in one of your videos, the vacuum pump gasket was leaking a little bit of oil already and I got the parts from a company that does engine rebuilds and sells all the extras seperately. I got better fuel consumption and a little bit more power, engine has run 150k now. Still has the original clutch and same flywheel, it's a manual shifter.

@NaptownTuner currently dealing with the issue now on a 2014 A4 2.0T(CAED) replaced the fuel pump for a pump for weak performance of a duty cycle in 70% range at idle. when the original pump faild it through a P3044 so I replaced the pump with a new pump. Got the new pump car started and idled for about 5 mins. Power probed the LPFP and go 0.0V on all wires and the then the pump shut off and car died, crank no start, stumble start and shut off. Customer had the intake timing chain fail, so all that and the HPFP have been replaced. Only codes it is stored now are a P3044 and a P3073. If you have power to the cpu relay, the cpu, the fp fuse and the fpcm, but no power out of the fpcm to the fp..., and can apply power fuel pump and make it work, then this is bad.Mine was bad. That was flow process. Especially if you prime the low pressure fuel pump manually and the engine starts and runs.
My 2013 GTI had a newer revison fuel pump module. I replaced it because it was a newer revision and i thought it was causing my long crank issue. Turned out it was the check valve in the LPFP not holding fuel in the line after engine shutoff.
I have a 2012 Audi a4 I am pulling 23 codes. Misfire on every cylinder, running rich in idle bank 1. Air intake leak, mass or volume circuit. It will start and idle rough and eventually die. I changed my coil packs and spark plugs about a year ago. Also, when I give it gas it struggles to get the rpm up but when it does it sounds like a muffled back fire then rpm’s eventually fall off and shuts off

You can have a long crank and no faults for a high pressure fuel sensor on the fuel rail. It’s rare but I’ve seen it and replaced it more than a few times
Hey NaptownTuner ! If the High pressure fuel pump is starting to fail what would the symptoms be? Clonking under load or high acceleration? Best regards Rasmus
