As a spin putter myself, this lesson is very accurate. It also gave me more ideas and tips to practice and better my game. Thanks Robbie C, love the videos!
Just to clarify, I love your videos Robbie. Very informative and I always learn something from you. Your explanations are broke down where anyone should be able to benefit. Love your channel.
Spin putter for life. I have a practice basket set tight against three big trees in a row in my back yard forcing me to throw straight in the basket. I'm deadly from 30 to 50 feet but the infamous 10 to 12 footers always seem to be the culprits robbing me strokes. Robbie you are probably one of my favorite creators because your tips are so dang useful. Your videos have taken strokes off my game thanks.✌
Robbie C! I am literally on my way to the local shop to practice putting on my work break, because it is miserable weather outside. HOW ARE YOU SO RELEVANT?! Keep up the amazing work sir.
Played with a friend and my son today and they both made multiple comments about how much my putting has improved. Literally the only cue going through my mind for every putt was “knuckles to the basket”! So thanks 👊
Robbie I needed this! You give me such good tips. Been watching your stuff for 3 months since I started. Just participated in my first tourney and got a rating of 750!
This video help me a lot, I was always push putting and felt my grip or something wasn't right to the point that I missed 15ft putt more than half the time. With the spin putt, I'm now succeeding 75% of the time and the throw feel like it's going to the chain and not just flying around loosely
Excellent video. I’d recommend using the pointer finger as an aimer to keep your hand from pulling right if the basket. Spinning past the pointer will give you more power, but it’ll keep your hand on target, especially in circle 1. C2 and beyond, focus on an outer rim of the disc, working up to height and nose angle for additional distance, but always keeping a specific point on target. Never allowing the release to extend right of target.
Great video I caught it a day late. Also I do not agree your introductions have not been to long. Keep it up. I always look forward to Tuesday and Thursday videos each week.
Thank you for this. It will make a great reference and has been saved to my "Putting" playlist. Oh, I was eating oatmeal when you were throwing your hands at the camera.
Using the lower body to help commit the putt is a BRILLIANT statement, and 100% true. I find if I miss my 20-25 ft putts, its because I am lazy with my legs. It's a subtle move, but necessary.
Thank you for this video Robbie! I’ve been missing my putts to the right lately and couldn’t really diagnose my problem. I have a strong feeling it’s me figuring 8ing my wrist for easy power.
Brilliant and true!! 😂 from highly impressed with some of my pretty long putts to complete demoralization. Gotta put(t) in the work, it's coming along 🤙
I am a push putter but have been struggling with my putting for a while now, so I was thinking about switching to spin putting. I think this was my sign because you said my name in the intro
Please do a push putt session as well. I'm a spush putter. Somewhere in between a spin and a push. I'm looking for simple repeatable motion. Less things to go wrong. Also, keep your intros as long as you want. Your words are information, and we all need more information.
After 10 years of push putting i decided to switch to spin putting this summer. My put has never felt so good. Granted i’ve never put so much work into putting before. I still want to keep my push putt as an option for death putts where i’d prefer to miss short.
Spin putter here, looking for anything new I could add. Something I recently discovered about my grip and thought was interesting is I have two spin putts from the same grip. One is more of the finger pop and the other the disc literally slips into just my thumb and middle finger and I whip it out. They both go straight though. Curious what your thoughts are on the Emerson style putt. I'll pull that out on some C2s and see why he does it.
Spin putting is the only way I can control the wing angle. I started using it on right to left windy putts. Now I use it all the time except for straddle putts.
whats funny is i dont know what the heck kind of putter i am.. in my head im trying to be a spin putter.. i just know overall im terrible at whatever it is that im doing. i will take your tips from this for sure sir..
One big plus of spin putting I think you missed is you don't need a high ceiling. I'm seeing more and more greens with low branches getting in the way of lofty push putters, but my spin putt just glides right beneath them
I've been spin putting since I started disc golf (about 1.5 yrs ago), but I suck at putting so much that I'm getting discouraged so that I sometimes don't want to play at all. I have a chronic issue of always throwing a hyzer and nose down, where I have to throw so much right and up to even have a chance, that the comeback is always over 30ft. *Do you have any tips on fixing it?* Great video though, going to try all these tips. Sadly I've watched hundreds of putting tutorials but still can't hit the basket at 15ft most of the time. I sometimes make huge +60ft putts though so atleast sometimes it works.
I wish I had seen this video before my Sunday after service round. I missed so many putts due to commitment. Other than that I feel like I have committed a mortal sin. I’ve started putting with a pig. I am better with it than with my focus.
I don’t even think about my putts anymore. I just focus on balancing on my front foot. If I have to straddle in a weird way, I commit to the line and go for it, unless I’m laying up. I never lay up tho.
Best way to work on your putt is playing doubles in my humble opinion. Learn to lay up and give a green light to your partner. Learn to make long putts to alleviate your partner from having to make a run, and gain strokes. It’s all mental when it comes to putting. If someone’s relying on you, you should be the partner that takes the weight off your partner. It’s way more fun that way.
So is Gannon a spush putter? He pulls it way down by the side of his hip/leg but he can "putt" like 100 feet away like you were talking with the spin putts. He's a freak. lol
As a spin putter myself, this lesson is very accurate. It also gave me more ideas and tips to practice and better my game. Thanks Robbie C, love the videos!
He made this video for me
T'was my first thought, brotha. ;)
4:03 I vote for the push putting video I’m mostly a push putter so curious about tips for improving
Laughing out loud at this one. You crack me up. Keep em coming.

For the close ones, have you tried straddle? Works for me 🤝

Guess I'm a spin putter. Nice to see it explained

The grip, bent fingers tip just helped me gain so much spin/power.
@@soldiercoop love to hear it!!
Sausage and eggs. Break in the rain, going to do some practice putting. Thanks for the tips!!
Perfect timing on this video! been practice putting more as the days have become shorter!
Spin putter 4 life. Great video Robbie!
Intro was way to short ;) great video as always sir. Keep up the good work and don't let people change you :)
Thank you for this video Robbie! I’ve been missing my putts to the right lately and couldn’t really diagnose my problem. I have a strong feeling it’s me figuring 8ing my wrist for easy power.
just made some corrections and also feel validation for some things ive already established only being a month in. great content. subscribed

the slight finger curl might be the #1 tip in the game for people who aren't already doing it🚀
ty tip on the finger action big help.

I'm also a spush putter. I feel like I'm stuck in the middle
Can you break down the Matty O spin put?
I've never heard the tip of moving the fingers closer to the rim or extending them to have some speed control. Will have to try that! Thanks bro
Another banger, another video where humbly request a return of the high pitched Mr. UA-cam man voice ;)
GOAT content. And I’m doing pretty alright today, how is you?
Spin putt pro: low ceiling/obstructed putts
Thanks!

Arm is not used in your putt. You are exactly correct. RobbieC FTW
Robbie Big Hands C over here 😒😒😤
Spin putting is the only way I can control the wing angle. I started using it on right to left windy putts. Now I use it all the time except for straddle putts.
I love how Paul Ulibarri spin puts. He uses very little wrist. Also his shoulders aren’t square to the basket. I’m most accurate when I do that.
I’m doing good Robbie how about you? Kinda made my day to hear my name ha. It’s the little things.
Crave would be good straight disc with my arm speed. Id like to compare it to my Reactor that is my dedicated glow disk.
whats funny is i dont know what the heck kind of putter i am.. in my head im trying to be a spin putter.. i just know overall im terrible at whatever it is that im doing. i will take your tips from this for sure sir..

AB's last tournament - he was a spin putting god!! --- watch some clips of him during that tourny.
What is that you write on the bottom of your discs?

Can a techdisc give a reading on putts?
I don’t even think about my putts anymore. I just focus on balancing on my front foot. If I have to straddle in a weird way, I commit to the line and go for it, unless I’m laying up. I never lay up tho.
It’s 7:30am and you made me drop my lasagna 😢
Switched to spin putting because it has less movement. Problem is only good for up to 30 ft. After that it is chaos
In today's edition of You Can't Make Everyone Happy; I like your super long intros and was disappointed you cut straight to the lesson!

How are you doing Robbie? Are you having a good one? 👍
Where did you get that shirt?
TELL ME THE SECRETS ROBBIE. I’m jk haha I only spin putt. Never jump putt or forehand at all.

@@haigis04 drains 95 foot uphill "putts" that's a mid layup for this guy
I always though I made more putts holding it on anny and push putting....Turns out I might be a spin putter 😂
bringing misery and sadness 😂
The less I move my arm, the more power I can produce
I don’t even know what kind of putt I do. Except it doesn’t spin and it also sucks.
If I had to guess, you're push putting but don't understand the push putt. I don't either, that's why I spin lol.
Now I want lasagna.
Close, spaghetti.
