The best Spanish textbook is the one you use consistently. Unlike other Romance languages (French, Portuguese, etc.), Spanish is easiest to understand amongst Lat. Am & Castilian Spanish dialects. If you chose to learn a different accent at some point along your studies, you make adjustments accordingly. If you have friends in Lat. Am., see if they can ship you their old textbooks. Otherwise, for those living in U.S.A., try getting in contact with university students who majored in Spanish. These textbooks will most likely be dirt cheap.

If you want to hear more of the mexican female point of view, and you want to widen your vocabulary more and are interested in self development, psychology, and literature then i highly recommend Se Regalan Dudas. I dont know if they’re from Monterrey but im pretty sure they’re from Northern Mexico. Thanks so much for the recommendations ! I started listening to an episose of Creativo with Caloncho and holy molly that was humbling haha. You know when you're at a café minding your business and there are people around you having a conversation but you're focused on something else and it just kinda becomes this mushy stream of words that vaguely sounds english but you just hear it go by and you only pick up on a few words that stand out here and there ? That's how that interview sounded to me haha, so much for me proudly thinking I was at a comfortable B2 level xD
Also, I like how there's a lot more room for experimenting when it comes to UA-camrs in your target language, as in there are quite a few that I wouldn't be interested by if they created content in english, but just the mere fact that they're in spanish and are easy to understand makes me have a lot more good will and have less room for boredom since I'm just busy understanding what the hell they're saying haha

My pronunciation is just fine, you’d think I’m fluent. As for English, it’s my only language so I’m perfect there. And the grammatical structures don’t exactly match up between the two languages. I feel like that’s what makes learning Spanish so difficult for me. If only I could download it into my own head 😂
