This. Was. Fantastic. I hope other manufacturers take notice, and do the same with you. Thank you for all the effort you put in to your vids, it shows.🇨🇦👍🏼
I'm gonna need another video fully detailing those HD tires. I can't find a video that has done it justice, and you, my friend, are very detailed. Keep up the good work.
I’ve driven on BFG’s with several of my trucks from the Mud Terrain to the KO series. What I found was they were great till winter and then the KO2 was a challenge on hard pack and slush. I run the KO 2’s till late November then I switch to Nokia winter Studded Hakkapeliitta tires. They are excellent in the winter and less of a challenge to drive compared to the KO2’s. When my KO2’s wear down I’ll probably switch to the Trail Terrains as my F150 spends most of its life on pavement. I have a CFMOTO Uforce 600 side by side to do the dirty off road work and keep my F150 nice and clean. Awesome review I enjoy your channel.
i got the trail terrains a year ago because the only offroad i do in my truck is when it snows so i wanted a tire that was good for snow but also lasted a decent amount of miles on pavement and the trail terrains have done a fantastic job of just that
I just installed the KO3s on my 2023 GMC Sierra AT4 last week and I absolutely love them. They are soooooo much better than the Goodyear Wrangler Territory MTs that were on it. Night and day difference. Very happy with my purchase.
Thanks for these videos. I went against the Falken grain and got the KO3’s on my Ram 3500. I wanted to see what the new technology was all about. Your other videos sold it for me. Super happy with them so far. Thanks for the informative videos!
Thank you Nathan. That was insightful. I enjoy your content. (FYI - it is because of you and your content that I purchased a set of BF Goodrich K03 for my F150. Again thank you for your content.)
Your very informative videos helped me decide what BFG tire I was gonna go for, just ordered my k03's. Awesome work you're doing here. Hope others take notice🤘
The small ridges between the large outside lugs are also stone ejectors that help keep rocks from drilling into the tire. The large channels between the lugs are also tapered slightly being larger at the surface compared to the base of the lug. This is also a feature to allow rocks to be thrown out easier. If the channels were straight they would hold rocks more. Your videos are always so good and I am sure you have probably already covered both points I mentioned. I noticed triangular stone ejectors in the HD terrain tires. Before the trail terrain BFG made a tire called the Rugged terrain that looks very similar.. I put a set on my snow plow truck almost 15 years ago and they are still working great.
Super overview! Like, how you show also the sample cutouts (10 - 15mm etc). 👍 I like your real knowledge, not just empty phrases. Maybe HD might deserve a separate test. There is still not much information on the Internet.Thanks. Yes, BFG makes good tires, we know 😎Unfortunately they are expensive. At least here in Europe.😐 ...If the Falken and Cooper family were next on your video, that would be great.😉
Excellent review and comparison of the BFG line up!! I run the BFG KO3s on my work truck. 2021 GMC 2500HD 4x4 crew cab gasser. She carries a 400L slip tank, back rack with heavy lights and loaded toolbox on top of the slip tank. That poor truck gets sent down the haul roads in the active coal mines of British Columbia and the oilsands of Alberta. Just came home from the coal mines, roads were iced over with blowing snow(Hwy 22 for those who know the area), the KO3s did great even with the slip being empty. They have also stood up well to the muddy, rock filled haul roads of the mines. I will definitely be putting set of KO3s on both our 2023 GMC Sierra half ton and our 1999 OBS Tahoe Z71. Couple things to note about being on active mine haul roads and mines in general. General active haul road rule, you are not allowed to stop a light vehicle(Pick up truck) on an active haul road. That being said they are some exceptions but that is a whole other thing. An active haul road is defined as a "road" used by the large haul trucks(CAT 777, 779, etc..) and large equipment(Wheel loaders and dozers). While the HD tire is a great option, mines are CHEAP, they look at the bottom dollar when it comes to anything, so if those tires aren't seen much in the mines its probably due to price because each mine has hundreds of light vehicles(small buses, pick ups, full size SUVs, deck trucks etc..). That all being said, I'm a Canadian and everything is stupid pricy here.
great video! i work in oilfield and go through tires every six months. i have tried almost every brand but will try the new hd tire next for sure. thanks Outdoor Auto!
BFG KO2s are pure trash on ice & snow for regular daily use. I would highly recommend Nokian winter tires (or a dedicated winter tire) if u live in a northern climate (especially the studded versions). I love my KO2s (on a full-time 4wd 4R & LX570) but I live in Canada and it gets cold af @ my location. Even in just below freezing conditions (with snow & ice) the ko2’s are not safe to run in that context. Just my 2 cents. Love your channel bro!
True that the ko2 are not good in ice and compact snow, and wet roads, aside from that they are the best tires for a truck as long as it’s not a one ton diesel.. I guarantee that the ko2 is way stronger than the nokean,, I’m going to get the ko3 soon, hopefully they will be good for ice and snow, I’m in ft Mac Murray at the moment, lots of snow soon.
@@vincefairleigh6899 your statement says "KO2 are not good in ice, compact snow, wet roads ... as long as it's not a one-ton diesel" ... i'd say that makes it not really a good tire.
@ I have ko2s on my truck, I’m in northern Alberta in the oil refineries at the moment, I’ll be driving south to the coast of British Columbia in a day or three, it’s probably going to be full of snow, it will do great in fresh snow, but they aren’t great for ice or compact snow, and when not brand new they slip around a bit in wet weather, but still have a snowflake, definitely not something I’d recommend when one can buy the ko3, they are supposed to be a big improvement in all the shortfalls of the ko2, and on a heavy truck ko2s do wear quickly, although on my Silverado 1500 I get 90,000. Kms on the ko2s, my truck is 6000. Lbs, a 9000 lb one ton will wear them out though, although my friend had a pair of ko2s on his dually work truck and regularly overloaded his truck, the tires took a beating and never got a flat, all his other tires have gotten so many flats, I’m thinking about buying the ko3 s..
I fully agree. Ran General Grabber AT2s on a V8 Grand Cherokee and Land Rover Discovery mk1 for a decade. The old AT Grabber was much better than my fiends Land Cruiser with KO2s. We get 3-4 months of winter, the KO2s were dangerous in winter conditions. The Grabber was actually better all-around. I currently run dedicated Nokians for winter but can't settle on a "summer tire" that has above "average" wet performance and retain AT qualities. New AT models keep getting more aggressive and closer to MTs and disregard aqua-planning and wet performance on the road. My current 4x4 drifts and spins like crazy on wet roads.
I love these videos. Keep them up! I wish they would get marketers out of the marketing, because talking about that one North star vision is exactly what I need to know in order to pick the right tire for me.
Great video! Thanks for explaining everything. Got KO3 on our cybertruck and the off road and snow capabilities with air down KO3s feel so grippy. Our whole group of Cybertruck owners after I explained them stock are not snow rated they all bought these immediately as winter is not far
Should be common sense, but may not be thought about. Your providing example of wicking and effect of the tread pattern can help with it. "Wicking action: The movement of a liquid through a narrow space without the help of external forces, like gravity." Appreciate the good faith of BFG sending you the tires and notes on their case use function as we mostly want facts. A good business never needs to advertise their product as it has a reputation, and I leave it at that. Keep in mind that those who work at BFG also have family and provided a better product serves to keep them safe as a well. Once again, function over "prettiness/looks". Thank You, and great coverage on this important topic.
Excellent video! I appreciate your scientific approach to the construction and intended use of each of these tires. For my application, KO3s are definitely in my future. I just have to wear out the Goodyears that came on my Bronco first.
I’m a tire geek, like you, I’ve been a BFG fan since learning to drive my Dads Jeep Cherokee with the early 2000’s BFG AT’s, 30x9.50 with 1” super-stock suspension. They did excellent in sand dunes we have and I remember rolling through feet of snow with great traction so much I was shocked at times. I built my first Jeep 98 Grand Cherokee Laredo with Selec Trac and the 4.0. 2” 4wd Hardware coil lift and limited slip rear end with 31x10.50 BFG AT KO’s, JKS adjustable trac bars, and Bilstein 5100 shocks. That thing was insane how capable it was. Hill climbing, sand dunes, and deep Minnesota snow. All around excellent. I can’t wait to put Ko3’s on my 04 WJ, when I install my 2” lift and Bilstein 5100’s. I LOVE geeking out to tires and YOU, my man, have done an outstanding job at making tire breakdown videos that are informative and enjoyable to watch. 👌🏻🫡✌🏻
Something about the tyre compound: earlier this year i was lucky enough to be sent on a driving safety training with my collegues at work. Our instructor there is a part time instructor and part time rallye driver. He recently had been at Continental (the tyre company) and they got a factory tour and to ask stuff: The Conti guy told him that when they come up with a new compound that works better, it takes up to 7 years for the recipe to really get handed down to the "not so premium" brands in the same tyre conglmomerate. So when Conti comes up with a new recipe, until you get the same compound performance in Uniroyal, Semperit, General Tyre... it can take up to 7 years. (that's for tyres in the same segment i guess, if they don't have to fear to canibalize on sales, but beat a competitor, they will share more. -> my opinion)
Well, all I have to say is, I hope they listen to the consumer and they start making that trail terrain a 10 ply tire for the heavier trucks ( 2500 ) and I really hope that they do it soon, great video. Love this channel. Great work.
Thank you again for another informative video, I have always been a BFG guy, and have since watching your channel, alternative for all things off road, however I seem to keep coming back to what I deem for me my go to tire (BFG). Thank you again
Very interesting. You know, it's easy to have a ho hum attitude toward BFG because they have become so ubiquitous. The thought process behind these tires is really an eye opener, and a huge aid in choosing the right tire. Learning what I did here has definitely moved them up in my pecking order. The one issue I have with BFG and many other brands is tire weight. This is something that many manufacturers just do not take seriously, and most buyers are ignorant of the implications. It sounds like BFG has the resources, both financially and intellectually to lead the way here too. I would love to see this happen.
Great reviews. I enjoy this channel. I do not care about looks. I've never had off-road tires although I can see how critical they can be. I've had good luck airing down my Michelin Defenders on my Ram 3500. I've only destroyed one. In off-roading here in Arizona some of the roads have super sharp rocks. So I don't need an aggressive tire but I could use an ice/snow tread with super-strong sidewalls for protection when aired down but keeping me on an icy freeway when visiting family in Idaho and can still tow heavy. I'm leaning towards the Falken Wildpeak AT4s.
Did see where you talked about the MT tire in mud. Just rocks I bought the first KO’s in late 70’s. I had 3 that the sidewall split. They were recalled n the new ones were great
I can't like this video enough! I really appreciate all the info. I've Run K02s on several trucks, I just got K03s put on my daily driver work truck and I'm excited to see how they preform this winter!
Same boat…have had 5+ sets of KO2s on multiple vehicles and just picked up the KO3s for Colorado fire roads and winter ski runs. Snow performance better be amazing because the KO3 is a gravel/rock magnet and doesn’t like to clear them. Haven’t noticed any difference in rain but definitely disappointed with them so far!
@@ccondon9 Have seen some nice reviews, was hoping that they could be my next tires... Currently tunning Renegade RT+ and i'm dissapointed how they handle(or do skids) in rain...
@ I live in the PNW been driving them in rain for the past month. So far no complaints at all way better than the tires that came on my truck! I really didn’t think the K02s performed bad in the rain either.
Nathan, thanks for another deep dive into tire tech! I have always appreciated BFG's innovation in the off-road tire industry. However, I don't run their A/T or M/T tires anymore for two reasons: shallow tread depth compared to their competitors, and undersized diameters versus their claimed size. I was really hoping that these issues would be fixed with the KO3 and KM3, but it looks like I'll have to wait for the next generation of BFGs to see if they address those shortcomings.
So would the K03 be a good recommendation in Idaho for someone who is a little more than a weekend warrior? On a 98 land cruiser prado or even a 96 hilux surf? Light mud and trails. No crawling. Lots of snow play.
I had BFG KO2s on my Wrangler for 45,000 miles ... at the beginning, they were good ... over time with wear, they got louder ... this is normal for an A/T tire... however, whatever the compound was, they also got much more slippery. To the point where I was driving in the rain and I slid half a lane over. So nope ... I didn't go with BFG KO2 or KO3. I went with Falken Wildpeaks. Couldn't be happier.
I like how you’re making me doubt my tire preference. After watching several of your videos I now doubt that an MT is my preferred option. I’m a simple weekend warrior with a light weight Gen4 2022 Suzuki Jimny as my daily driver and off-roader. I was about to upgrade to BFG KM3 because I wanted a more aggressive tire when of gravel roads and jungle tracks. But as I have 2x diff-lockers a very good AT tire might be my best option. You are questioning my opinions, I like that a lot. Thanks!
I just bought Falken Wild Peak AT4Ws for my 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road. We live 5 miles from town (30 miles from the city) on a private road that we have to plow and maintain ourselves. We get 5-7 feet of snow every winter up here in north central Washington state. We got a snow storm the very night that I had my tires installed. I was surprised at how well the tires handled my truck. I’m thinking I’ll be happy with my purchase.
@ That’s Awesome! Check out the BDR. Some of the BDR is still passable but not all of it. We currently have about 6” that came in last week. We’ve got another storm coming soon
Awesome…. Thanks for another amazing video to fulfill my Ko3 research itch lol. What are your thoughts on the OE Ko3 vs the retail? Basically I’m deciding between waiting on the retail 285/70/17 C rated or just going for the OE C rated or retail E rated. Weight difference doesn’t seem dramatic between the ratings so main concern is On road wet performance, performance when aired down (tires ability to flex and grip obstacles) and alongside that being comfortable enough. This is on a 5700lb 2011 f150.
Another great video. On the Trail Terrain - I see hydroplaning because of the solid side lug. The water is "trapped" in the center of the tire with no exit strategy. Another part of my brain says that millions of semis are running down the roads with (only) continuous lugs, so maybe having water exiting the sides isn't the important part of the equation... Clearly, there's a gap in my tire traction/ grip, science/theory understanding or knowledge base.
Nice video, I would love to see a similar video on the Goodyear Duratrac RT vs. the original Duratrac. I know you did a comparison video but it would be nice to see the cross sections etc. I just ordered a set of RT's for my truck. Also as far as the Trail Terrain tire goes, back in the day (late 80's to mid 90's)BFG made basically the same tire. It was called the Trail T/A. I had a set on my 1987 Toyota truck and they were a great mild all terrain tire.
Great video! I’m a film sound editor/designer by trade, so I notice stuff most people won’t. Your videos lately have been sounding a lot better. Cleaner dialogue, SFX, and even music. My one constructive suggestion is to dial the music back a bit. The first part with wall to wall music was kind of distracting and didn’t add anything to your VO. The second part of the video where the music faded out was better. Like all sounds, think of the music as a way to enhance the story. There are plenty of examples of wall to wall music done well; John Williams’ score for Star Wars is a good example. Schindler’s List or Saving Private Ryan are good examples of music used more sparingly to evoke emotions at specific times and to get out of the way when other sounds are more important.
Awesome feedback, thanks for taking the time. I have no background in any of the video and audio stuff… all self taught so I have LOTS of bad habits and a lot to learn.
Love your videos on tires they help so much in understanding how they will perform. I would love to see you overview the yokohama geolander a/t4 g018, as well as the maxxis razr at811! I am between those and the new terra grappler g3 for my truck.
Excellent in-depth discussion and very helpful. Thanks. I'd love it if you some of the other brands would do this same thing. I currently am on Toyo AT3's and I love the tire, for the most part. I had AT2's in the past and they have a long tread life and my AT3's are running what seems to be long life as well, but I've had my 3rd sidewall puncture on my AT3's and would be curious if that is the weak point for these Toyos. They perform really well in the dirt and rocks in Utah and also here in Colorado, but after my 3rd sidewall puncture I'm starting to look at other tires. I've never had good luck with the K02's (barely achieved 15K with them), but might have to try the K03's. I'm also looking at Falkens, but I've seen those have it's fair share of sidewall punctures as well. Anyway appreciate the video. Very nice knowledge.
Loved the video but the information on the HD-Terrain left me with some of the questions I have had on it not answered still and now even more curious to the answers. The HD-Terrain was said to be a tire for the oil companies and companies of Alaska. With that, there are lots of miles of snow packed and icy roads as well as the mud that was mentioned. How are these tires built for those situations? Would it be a good tire for a 3/4 diesel that also has that type of terrain to travel on for 6-7 months of the year like we do in Idaho. Over on the colder side of the state with less population than the Boise valley. Can you speak to me/us about what they said as far as the snow/ice traction. I know you said and have shown that you have them on your Ford F250, what is your experience so far. I really want to run them, but with having a larger lug and harder compound, I am picturing it having the traction of a hockey puck on packed snow and ice. I also heard a rumor that they were in the works of developing a HD-A/T. Can you speak to that. Thank you for your great videos and love all of the Toyota content you have. Cheers
Is the trail terrain 3 ply sidewall? Think I'm between the KO3 and new Nitto G3 but leaning towards the BFG because of the tougher sidewall. Going back to Colorado next year and will be in the mountains..
NO. 2. Per TireRack website: "Internal Construction of the Trail-Terrain T/A consists of a robust, two-ply polyester casing engineered to provide comfort and reliability while maintaining a higher level of durability for occasional off-road use. Twin steel belts are wrapped with a single, nylon reinforcement ply to form a strong foundation with high-speed capabilities."
Hopefully they're better. I hated my Ko2's in rain. They were horrible and they started chunking pretty badly around 20k. My Falken AT3w were a better tire for me on almost everything. When I need a new set I may try the new Ko3.
I have BFGs on my Rubicon and am totally happy with them. Now I need to replace the tires on my 2019 Tahoe Z71. Currently have Goodyear Duratrac 265/65/R18. Should I go with the new Duratrac RTs or switch to BFG KO3s? The main problem I'm having is that I replaced two of the Duratracs recently. So two are good, two are bad. Can I mix with the Duratrac RTs? Or should I replace all four? If all four, should I switch to BFGs? I'm so confused. Mostly city driving in Louisiana (usually lots of rain). I want an agressive look being it's a Z71.
Have you ever gotten a recommended air pressure vs weight chart for a tire? I would love to know what I should running my KO2 at for best life and traction for highway vs gravel vs trail. My last set had over 60K when I traded the truck in with and it still had a 1/4" of tread left with minor cupping. I ran 40 front 38 rear (unless towing then 45 rear) on road and would air down to 30 if I was going to be off road for a while. I'd just like to know what is the optimal pressures
I am looking for a tire for my Chevy Colorado. For 75 on road 25 off road. Anything that is not close to a 10 ply will be punctured in my opinion. Some mud when it rains. But want quiet. ???? I would like your opinion 275/65/17 I have a little bit of a lift
More informative than BFGs marketing, well done. I really wanted to like the KO3s on my F350. After puncturing a sidewall and tread chunking on another make, I though the KO3 would be a durable all rounder for me. Unfortunately they had really high road force numbers and wouldn’t balance. I also felt like the road handling was too compromised for my use case (1 ton truck towing a 5th wheel) so they got returned.
The only complaint I have with BF Goodrich is they don't offer the tire size I want yet in the KO3. They will sell them in 2026, which is why I went with the Wildpeak AT4w instead. They make a 35x11.5R17 today and I don't have to wait over a year for a tire.
Great information, so thanks for all the work. I have a 2022 Chevy silverado 2500 diesel, and I'm putting a 1500 lb truck camper on it. Can you reccomended a tire? I'll be doing more hwy driving then off road. Thanks.
have you covered the yoko geolandar g018 a/t4? i just put a set of 265/75/r16 on my 4runner and they feel and perform great in dry pavement and gravel conditions
K03 not yet available for classic Defender 235/85-16 so I went with a set of five K02 - not that my Td5 makes massive power at 122 bhp so still more than adequate, price though is also more than adequate - we pay in £'s what you pay in $'s
Wow, I really appreciate this feedback... the truth is if I keep getting feedback like this a lot of manufacturers will work with me and I can't wait to cover more tires...
Your in depth reviews are awesome! Is there a site that would show what the all terrain tires payload is? I tow an RV and would like to know the side wall strength. Thank you!!!
Just got a set of KO3s for my F150 last week after watching some of your other videos. Man what an upgrade from my General Grabber APTs. I went with 295/70R18s and a 2" leveling kit and its a whole different truck. Rides like a dream with zero road noise. Looking forward to seeing how these tires perform in the North East winter!
I did the exact same with my Tremor 2 weeks ago, same size and levelling kit. Couldn’t tell you the difference because I only had the truck for 1 day before I switched them out

I was very impressed with the KO2. Reasonable price, better offroad capability, and far quieter on pavement than you'd expect. Two thumbs up.

I like those Trail Terrains as an option. Seem to be good replacements for the older discontinued BFG Long Trails and BFG Rugged Terrains
@@vincefairleigh6899 after reading everything about the KO3 and Falken Wildpeaks, I went with Falken.
I've got a set of the KO3 on my truck and they are fantastic 👌🏻
I think you will like them… they are a great fit for Broncos
Would love to see a video on the Toyo line up. The research and info you provide truly make you a go to guy for all things outdoors/overlanding/4X4
I’d like to do @Toyo soon… gotta find the right person to talk to over there.
They make a solid tire.
Great video Nate! I’m in the process of looking for new tires. This video will be beneficial in narrowing down what tires I need.
I'll be shopping for new tires for my Power Wagon very soon. This was very informative! Thanks!
Finally someone explained what the HD Terrain was really designed for!
It’s a pretty cool tire. Very purpose-built
That was a great video! Needed some truck tires and after this I got KO3.
Thank you Nathan! A truly fascinating look at an awesome group of tires, what brand is next?! Hahaha
A winter tire roundup is next.
The HD tire is so good I'm not even kidding. It's my favorite tire of all time!
It’s a pretty awesome tire.
Did see where you talked about the MT tire in mud. Just rocks
I bought the first KO’s in late 70’s. I had 3 that the sidewall split. They were recalled n the new ones were great
I can't like this video enough! I really appreciate all the info. I've Run K02s on several trucks, I just got K03s put on my daily driver work truck and I'm excited to see how they preform this winter!
Had any rainy situations with KO3s? Are they really better on wet than KO2s?
@@ccondon9 I live on a gravel road my K02s are gravel magnets too. K03s I’d say are similar to me. I’m very curious how they’re going to do in snow!
I wish they still made their Trac-edge tyre. Had two sets on my old school landrover back in the 90's.
This is the 2nd video of yours that I have watched. You do a great job and now I'm a subscriber.
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks!
The Falken rugged terrain might be a good option
@@ClipsByMiles
Agreed. But i doubt i can find them in my country.
You guys get some real snow up there in Washington… I’m headed up there for a snow wheeling trip soon.
@ That’s Awesome!
Check out the BDR.
Some of the BDR is still passable but not all of it.
We currently have about 6” that came in last week.
We’ve got another storm coming soon
Amazing video, great work! With winter near, worth mentioning which are and are not 3PMSF rated. Yes 3PMSF = trail terrain, KO3. Not 3PMSF = HD, KM3.
Good point, I have a winter tire video coming soon.
Hey man, awsome video. It would be nice to see a full review on nitto’s tires! Thanks
Hey Nathan ty for the great video. Lots of valuable information for everyone. Keep up
the great work.
Thanks for watching> Appreciate the support.
Best tire tech video I've seen! Subbed!
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching.
Had these on my wife’s wrangler and I was worried about the same thing. She sold it before we got a long term test on them.
the trail terrain has longitudinal channels just inside the shoulder on both sides... those are very effective at channeling water.
BFGs are excellent tires. I have owned KMs, KO2s, and KM3s. KM3s are my favorite.
FANTASTIC! Now waiting for a Goodyear lineup😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hopefully soon.

Awesome 👏 Thanks for watching
@@OutdoorAuto how would you compare the trail terrains to falken wild peaks a/t?
Love your videos on tires they help so much in understanding how they will perform. I would love to see you overview the yokohama geolander a/t4 g018, as well as the maxxis razr at811! I am between those and the new terra grappler g3 for my truck.
Another brilliant well researched video. Great job!
Thanks Chris, that means a lot... this one was a ton of work.
Cheers
Thanks Nathan. I believe I've found a tire for me!
Awesome!

Love my KM3’s on my Grenadier. Gotta pair the best built trucks with the best built tires!
I want to try one of those trucks out.
@ come visit me in Oz 🤙
That HD terrain looks interesting for sure.
I am going to test it on an off-road logging truck build as well.
Hi, I had BFG K02s but I switched to Yokohama Geolandar G003 Mud-Terrains and have never looked back! Thank me later!
G003 are good tires but compare them to the mt km3 not the ko2.
I've been on k02s but am switching to the geolander at xd... Excited to see how they do.
How can this video be so good?
lol.. 😂 thanks for the support
I wonder how the Cooper Discoverer Stt PRO compares to the BFH mud terrains.
Hopefully they're better. I hated my Ko2's in rain. They were horrible and they started chunking pretty badly around 20k. My Falken AT3w were a better tire for me on almost everything. When I need a new set I may try the new Ko3.
My jeep came with 2-ply side wall KO2 and I'm not sure whether they're still considered good off road tires.
your videos are amazing
Thanks for watching 🙏
Most excellent info! Thank you!
Thanks for watching
Even though a part of my reason for buying my next set of tires is going to be looks. It’s nice to be informed on all the nerdy stuff
Absolutely, get the best of both worlds
Well. You're officially the Tire Expert. Great work on the videos. "Little UA-camr" Ha!
lol… pretty sure you need A million subs to be a “real” UA-camr 😂
Great video Nate

The trail terrains are the best tires I have ever owned.
They really nailed a comfortable road tire with just enough off-road capability
Great information, so thanks for all the work.
I have a 2022 Chevy silverado 2500 diesel, and I'm putting a 1500 lb truck camper on it. Can you reccomended a tire? I'll be doing more hwy driving then off road.
Thanks.
Sounds like that HD Terrain
have you covered the yoko geolandar g018 a/t4? i just put a set of 265/75/r16 on my 4runner and they feel and perform great in dry pavement and gravel conditions
K03 not yet available for classic Defender 235/85-16 so I went with a set of five K02 - not that my Td5 makes massive power at 122 bhp so still more than adequate, price though is also more than adequate - we pay in £'s what you pay in $'s
I’ve been running nothing but BFG tires for over the last 20 years. From Rugged Trails, KOs, and now KO2s. I’m going to get some KO3s next.
I am enjoying the KO3 on our budget build LC... so far I rally like them.
BF-Goodrich’s website has all those specs for each size and load range.
@@OutdoorAuto Thank you. I went to their site and found the ratings. Thank you again for your channel!!!
Just got a set of KO3s for my F150 last week after watching some of your other videos. Man what an upgrade from my General Grabber APTs.
