i BOUGHT THE HEUCHERELLA yesterday at WalMart, was walking by, saw it sitting by itself picked it up because it was so pretty pink. Didn't look at the name, just loved the colors. Now I see the name and it is a plant you use in some of your videos. Sooo pretty, will probably get more.
My boyfriend, 2 cats, a pug and I moved into our first home as the Times Square ball dropped and ushered in 2018. I just discovered your channel and am so very thankful for it. Had a lot of questions and insecurities about maintaining a beautiful and healthy outdoor space, but each video is turning my nerves into excitement!
Friend, guess what! Last spring I got black tiarellss on sale at Lowes. Lost the tags so just planted them on the south side of my zone 7/8 Texas home. Did beautifully in spite of our clay soil. School started, they were grievously neglected and over run with weeds. Thought they were destroyed by our freezing temps, but over Christmas discovered they were still alive and gorgeous under the weeds! I'm in love with this plant! PTL! 💕 Thanks for this video. Tlc, ks

When I unpacked my fall stuff, I used your fish tealights video and played around with a succulent arrangement in a couple of fall leaves tealights and a couple owl tealight holders. I live in Michigan so I am working on cleaning up my succulents and deciding what to bring inside to try and winter-over (not much light for them in the winter). They were easy and look terrific after two weeks.My daughter in law saw them and now she and my granddaughter want that treatment on some chandeliers for the granddaughter's wedding. Not sure I'm up to that much succulent arranging though! Need lots of cutting, etc. Anyway whole message here is thanks for the inspiration!
Loved the explanation on the lighter the color of Heuchera the more sun protection needed. We have deep colored Heuchera on a raised island & are amazing when there's a breeze, which reveals the underneath leaf color.

Hi Laura, I have a heuchera from last fall that I just repotted & I've noticed that it's pretty hardy/ easy to keep happy. Yea! However, I was wondering if you could do a video on how to care/ cut back/ split them? I went back to watch a few of your videos, but didn't see anything addressing how to care for them. Thanks in advance!
can you do a video on how to transplant a plant to a different part on the garden? I don't know what Im doing wrong but whenever I move something it dies. Also at your old house you had an apple tree that you said you use something organic to keep the bugs/worms off..what do you use?
In order for your trees to be completely bug free you need to get them on a spray regimen on Dormant Oil (to smother and kill overwintering insects)- spraying once after the leaves have fallen, once on a nice day in January, and a third time right around Super Bowl Sunday, then you start in with Fruit Tree Spray (fertilome) when about 2/3 of the flower petals have fallen off (this takes care of insects attacking fruit in season), and continue to spray every two weeks until the end of July. It's quite the process, but you can't beat bug-free fruit! :) ~Laura
This is so weird to me because my darkest hucheras are the ones that are getting their edges burnt from the sun. I swear plants don’t behave the way they are supposed to in my garden. I have common echinacea that thrives in part shade to shade but not so much in the sun.
I have a burgundy one that turns rusty brown in fall. I have moved it to another less sunny location under my lilac tree. But I also notice some burning/curling of leaves. Perhaps once the lilac is established, it will provide more shade. I may be using too much fertilizer and also noticed soil erosion around root ball. So I will be correcting that.
I found it weird that the plant is pronunced "Hook-ker-ruh" in English, when a Swede (Carl von Linné) named it after the German botanist Johann Heinrich von Heucher (pronunced "Hoy-share").

Your probably just not watering then enough

Correction: the dark colored heuchera requires more shade & the green ones need full sun. I know because I grow both colors.
Everyone need protection from the sun. I'm a dark skin person who is allergic to the sun 😢
