I love Hellebores. They are definitely underused in American gardens, and as I like to tell my garden centre colleagues...."they are not a hell of a bore." :-)
Ohh Russell you look so cozy! I had to wait for my coffee to brew before I watched this video as it's so fun to sip my coffee and listen to Laura passing on more gardening knowledge! I also love the enthusiasm you have when you talk about plants or find new pots and things to use, it's so inspiring to get out and plant!!! Thank you!
Wow-Hellebores good for zone 4-I might have to try them! Would love flowers in winter!! And I laughed out loud at your remark at the end with Russel "Looks like you're here for the long haul. oh, to be a cat!" LOL
Morning from Mn..... Great video my wife and i are here watching your videos with nice green plants its great to see since we have -13 deg outside right now. Help start the morning right from my wife and I Thankyou and God bless.
Love this flower and it might get a home this spring . I just bought a blue agave and it has a lot of little baby's can't wait til they get a little larger.thanks
Awww love RUSSELL he so warms my heart. Coffee in hand out to yard I go to plant my new hellabores. Zone 9. Thank you for Inspiration today @gardenanswer Laura
Russell is so cute! I just love seeing him, he is such a good kitty. Beautiful plants the Hellebores are, I have never thought to grow them inside till I could put them outside, I live in a zone 5 to 9, and I've got snow all over right now. I really love the succulents you picked up, I have a donkey's tail and I just love it, I really want a banana vine they are so unusual. Thank you for brightening my day with some fun plants, See you in the next video.
How pretty! Here in the upper peninsula of Michigan we have lots of snow ⛄️ and a predicted high of -3 degrees F tomorrow. I can’t wait until spring!🌱🌸😬
Living in Georgia, the garden centers are full of blooming camellias right now through spring and it's just so fun to go look at all the gorgeous varieties! They also always have pansies and violas and even if I don't bring any home, it does my heart good to walk among it all this time of year!
Hi Laura. Watching you at your home with such knowledge and excitement about plants and nature is so uplifting. Thank you for all the sharing. I'm making my rounds to the thrift stores for clay pots and anything relating to the garden. I live in a semi desert here in Canada (zone 6) and always watch your channel. Can't wait for your next reveal.
Love your vids & baby Ben is too cute ! I love hellebores this time of year they are so cheery when little else is in flower! The forward facing hellebores are just wonderful - I still have the nodding varieties but in the Winter when you don't get into the garden as much, those forward facing blooms really stand out from a distance👍 🌺🌼🌹 Merry Christmas x
After watching one of your earlier videos, I purchased two Hellebores which I planted in the fall. Right now, they are covered by 18 inches of snow. I hope they make it. Love your videos. I need to look for String of Pearls soon!
Great video Laura 💕 Love all your plants and pots you got. Really love all the information you give us on plants. I'm ready to go to my local garden center now. One of my favorite things to do. Have a great day !! 🌺🌻🌷
It's amazing that your hellebores bloom in January. I'm Z5 & don't see that until April here. Also, if anyone need to raise a plant off a table/deck, you can use pop bottle tops & peanut butter tops under the plants. I use them to keep wet pots off the deck & counters & they work great for keeping moisture from damaging surfaces.
Yeah those pot are cute your plants look hearty I've never seen any plant pearls Beautiful. Oh hello Russell. My mother in law had an amazing green thumb she passed away last February. I want to create a garden in memories of all my ladies that pass away. I love your gardens
I was always told Hellebores can be invasive. The flowers on them are beautiful. I might try some this year. I'm staying with Russell on the portch...lol. Xoxox
Ha! Russell looks so comfy there at the end. I resisted buying hellebores for the first 30 years I have been gardening in my own space as an adult. To be fair, a lot of that time I was in warmer climates than they like, but, even after moving to the NW, I didnt buy them right away because, at least here, they are pricy. But, about 4 years ago, I was wandering around one of the nurseries in winter and gave in, bought my first couple. Well, that is all it took for me to realize how wonderful they are. Since then, my collection has grown quite a lot, too, although not at the annual rate of yours, they are still expensive even if I do now agree they are worth it. :) I love the new containers. Your mom has a great eye. I dont Instagram, but hope you will make more videos from the garden center.
I've never had Hellebores before but I got some in the fall after watching your videos. I saw some at the garden store yesterday--gorgeous, but pricey. Thanks for the video.
Great video - as are ALL of them! I've learned so much from you and I'm so inspired to add more plants! I wish we had a Garden Center like your parent's in our area!
You’ve got me loving hellebores but I haven’t found any locally yet, but I’ll keep looking. Thanks for all you and Aaron do, I learn so much from y’all
Love to visit my local favorite greenhouse in all seasons. I like to go in winter time to get what I call a dose of spring See what they have started in pots, what has come in, get ideas, dream and plan!!! Love the blackish foliage against the white, tuxedo planting!
So lovely to be able to see you potting up some beautiful plants!! It soothes my soul during these frigid temps....daytime high is -26c today, tonight -37c with the windchill. Keep the videos coming haha!

Here in Malaysia every January and febuary chinese new year flowers arrive. Since Malaysia is tropical we rarely see temperate species of plants. Its a real treat
I loved this plant and container haul. Wish I would of research ed more on the hellabora plant. Did not know they came back. Well I diffenely will try them again. Would love to see more hauls from you.. I can't wait for warmer weather. 7 degrees the morning. Near St.Louis
I’ve been slowly expanding my collection, I can’t wait to get some more pretty varieties, I picked up three pink frosts this past winter after seeing you plant them, I absolutely love them
I LOVE hellebores! Mine are all very old; but, I would REALLY like to have some 'Pink Frost' ones planted. There are so many different collections, varieties & colors and even some with double blooms! Their bloom period is extra long; so, they're VERY giving plants. Your new low bowl and cute white buckets are really great! Your sempervivum bowls are so sweet! I need to plant mine that way, too. I haven't tried my luck with String of Pearls (or bananas) yet; but, my String of Hearts has made me fearful of trying! I love to see your "hauls", Laura. They're the best! Thanks for sharing. 🌾💜
So I have an Aeonium in a pot on my front porch must be five yrs old the heads on it are 10 inches in diameter I have some jade planted underneath . Every time I enter my door it makes me smile should be blooming again this yr an the fragrance is wonderful. Great choice you made !

Right now where I live, the hellebores are blooming and so are the camellias. Such a beautiful winter show. Love how your projects turned out!
