meh, it seems like these wrestling games don't ever really get any better.
If 2K can make their next game's career mode like Here Comes The Pain's Season Mode. The game would be amazing. I personally miss the choice if what to say and consequences. I still think Here Comes The Pain has one of the best Career/Season Modes.

not a single review tells you that, if you win the wwe title in career mode you're done. which is fucking stupid.
I agree it should give you the option to continue or retire and when you win the championship it skips ahead 15 years instead of you playing it -_-

Stop living in the past people. Yes I know HCTP on PS2 was a really fun game but 2K decided to go for a more realistic type of game. I think the gameplay for this year's WWE game is really enjoyable but as for removing all those great modes- that is completely unacceptable. I loved seeing people make their road to Wrestlemania storylines but thanks to 2K we won't be seeing that this year which is a major dissapointment. But overall I'd give it a: 6.5. Its pretty fun but after completing all the story modes it won't be as enjoyable.

They can't due to licensing. People like Angle and Matt Hardy are under contract with other companies. Plus they would have to relicense ALL the music tracks I the game.

MikeyRhymez hell yeah traded it in after 2 days 2k14 is a much better more polished product.reversals were hard to pull off,as were kickouts.in gsme was buggy at times.lack of caw options really threw it under the bus for me,hopefully next year thay get it right.

Wow, 2K14 is like twice as good as this. 07 and HCTP is where wrestling was at.
2k14 was a letdown for me but looking back we never had it so good, the amount of shit removed (that has been added over a decade) is the downer for me.
The matches themselves are actually pretty good, I'm hoping that next years or even the one after we'll be back where we need to be.
I feel weird not having WWE 2K15 :( I've owned the all of the installments from the Day of Reckoning series to WWE 2K14. I want to buy it because its my established tradition, but at the same time this game doesn't meet my expectations. STEP IT UP! I also wish they didnt release the game a couple of months before the new year (releasing WWE 2K15 in 2014) I feel like if they released it in the year its reflecting, it would be soo much better
In all fairness this was 2k's first shot at a next gen wrestling game, there are obviously going to be missing features and it's not going to be perfect, but just enjoy the new mechanics and characters in the game you have now, I think 2k did a pretty good job with the new stamina system and character models.
But just think, 2k16 is going to be at least 10x better :)
Also to all the people saying wrestling is "shit" why are you watching a video about wrestling, take your irrelevant opinions elsewhere
this game would of been so good IF THEY DIDNT F UP THE ONLINE. You can't make matches (unless it's private) you can only auto-search and it puts you in a match without even having a clue who you're going against until it loads and starts. You can't team up with your friend to play other people. And there's no tornado tag teams mode
I agree with you man, no reviews are mentioning this, they probably think it's not significant, but for players like you and me online is the biggest appeal.
You can't even choose your wrestler, you need to have a preference list, when playing an online game it doesn't show your opponents win/loss record.
People are still spamming the fuck out of Triple H's knee buster move!
The kick out meter is so glitchy and annoying to use in the online mode, I don't know if it's just me!
There is no way to disable playing against people that are using overpowered created wrestlers, almost impossible to play an EC match and the background search fucking sucks.

There were so MANY more cons to have been listed but a 5 is well deserved for this game. The matchmaking is terrible with no lobbies and feels like it's from a decade ago, the menus lag, saving takes forever, the movesets are pretty limited, the collar and elbow tie up gets old quick, the commentary is still awful, wrestlers need more durability/less damage, the lack of created content, inability to edit a wrestler's attire without them being cloned into a CAW, it's near impossible to pin Cena, and the fact that the developers after like this was going to be such a good game and that they did so much yet it's incredibly half baked. Did they even test the game before shipping it? SVR 2007 debuted on new hardware and was a huge improvement and ADDED features yet now we're going backwards. All this game really has going for it is the great visuals. Just like WWE itself, these games haven't been any good in years.
I knew John Cena being on the cover was a red flag. Time to trade in this garbage and get Far cry 4. YES! YES! YES!

Sucks, i really wish they would re-introduce a decent story mode, manager mode and other fun stuff that HCTP had. They've had so many years to do this, why the hell can't they actually put in previous modes that the recent ones had?

So wrong how you cant even create divas. So stupid how they're so focused on the single player experience, they forget people like me who actually play wwe games locally with brothers, sisters and friends.
First mainstream review that I've agreed with in a while. This game got boring in a week. Not enough things to do outside of the ring.
wait I enjoyed creating both guys and girls in the previous games and now they wont let me create divas?? plus they took out create a story AND finisher. No, not getting it until its like 30 bucks

13 is my favorite but my 2nd and 3rd are 10 and 08.
Honestly I wasn't pleased. The my career thing was a nice touch, but you are extremely limited on the customizations. You can't create your own entrance motion you have to use an actual wrestler that is already in the game, same with the video. You are limited with masks to chose from and if you do chose a mask, you have to have certain hair to use it with. Also the roster seems very small. The game has potential but just are very limited in what you can do in the game.
Can you fight agains your mates online, doing diff game modes like TLC etc?

i got 2k15 and i give it 6\10 and i play wwe games from wwe 2010 i was playing wwe13 more than wwe2k14 and 15 i dont know itz not that fun any more but if u like wwe buy 15
You wanna good wrestling game download the ps2 enulator and play smack down vs raw with your Ps4 controller well I do it with my xbox one controller

I get that licencing and franchise and everything comes down to making money...bla bla bla... Hopefully some developer will just make a "wrestling game"...call it, oh I don't know..."Wrestling!"..sacrifice a bit of graphics for technical smooth game play. Remember fire pro wrestling? basic graphics, but a huge roster and a billion moves. Or the games on the 64...easy, smooth and fun as hell! Sure the games of today look great, but they lack in a lot of areas...what a shame that the consoles of today can't beat the fun and play ability of old technology

Man people are so spoiled now. Such graphic whores, after playing the other wwe games im beyond happy with the graphics here. How much greater do people want graphics to be in order to satisfy this stupid need? I love great graphics but I hate it when people complain even though a game looks great.

I think it's pretty stupid how the fill up the roster by having two batistas two jerichos two Daniel Bryan's two cm punks etc. why not have more superstars like maybe Adam rose since he's been on tv lately. Or just like a legend. Maybe Kurt angle, Jeff hardy? they should've have done something cooler wit the WCW pack. Like bring the Nwo into the game or like vicious Sid Scott Steiner? Come on wwe. I knew this was gonna happen. this game is really gay and also plays really badly. its sad how people still like wwe. this is probably wwe's last year period. its just so bad and gay. what a shame. good job gamespot even though I think this is a little bit of a high score. I would've gave it a 3 or a 4. its just so bad. mycareer mode is just forgettable. were are the divas in this game. there are none because its gay. tragic.
