You need to take accountability god gave us the power to create life at will ….did you look into yours and the fathers own behaviors actions and health habits before conceiving? God plays no part in some things you need to understand that moving forward
@@jesswhyuwannaknow930 also, just advice for the future in case you engage with anyone that has miscarried, telling a woman that lost a child that she wanted to keep more than anything in the world that she needs to “take accountability” for her miscarriage and proceed to place blame on her is so incredibly hurtful. It certainly hurt me. I don’t know you, but I’ve already forgiven ya 😉 I needed to bring that to your attention so you don’t accidentally hurt someone that you love in the future.
3 years ago, on the 24th of September, I had to call to say mum is not going to make it…. So I jumped in the car and drove to say goodbye… this song came on, which I never heard before, I didn’t even know who yebba was… half way through the song, my brother called me and told me it was too late… mum was already gone… this song will forever be my tribute to my mother…. Whom I never said goodbye to.
I keep returning to this song... can’t get enough of every piece of it. She keeps her runs so interesting, yet never overdone. It’s as if the run is part of the storytelling, causing crescendos in the story of the song😭😭 love it and her soo sooo much!
I used to listen to this song all the time and feel so much sadness in my heart for Yebba for her mama. Now I listen after my mom suddenly passed away a couple weeks ago, and it feels completely different. There’s nothing more tragic than losing your mom who was broken and sad. I know it’s just as hard in heaven mommy. I’ll meet you there. ❤

I literally haven no words....as in there are no words in the Queen English Dictionary to truly describe how...ah man I even don't know anymore.... If I'm happy about one thing this year...is that I became aware of the artistry of YEBBA. Thank you Beats 1/Apple Music. But most of all...thank you YEBBA. PS: As a physical indication of how much I enjoyed this...I found myself doing the infamous YEBBA Claw that she occasionally does during her live performances.
God put this on my heart...it has been a lonnnnng time since a song brought me to tears but, this white woman did it tonight. I pray that her mother’s spirit is free from any all pain she felt while she was here with us in the flesh. I hope this woman never stops sharing her voice with us and that will always music brings her solace.

At work. Fighting to hold back my tears. Abbey you are phenomenal. You are a movement. The soul in your voice the vibrato just everything. Your mom is smiling ♥️
thank you yebba...through our tears we read, "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" Luke 21:28
I stumbled across “My Mind” via Madison Ryann Ward, via Letterman’s monthly Netflix show “My Next Guest.” I’m gonna make a leap and say Yebba was my favorite guest so far. This chick is insanely talented and what’s more, is capable of exposing her soul so unapologetically, that it RIPS right through mine.
This is so heartbreakingly beautiful. What an act of love and performed facing the alter at this beautiful parish. This was your own heartbreak to lay at the foot of the Cross. A gift to Our Lord of the most beautiful kind. Yebba, if you read this, I recently read about your mother’s death, and as it happened to be right around this time , I prayed for the repose of her sou on the date of her passing. May God bring you and your family peace.❤️
So, okay...I'm confused as to how, 8 years after she came on the scene with that SoFar performance, she hasn't blown up more?? I just discovered Yebba a few weeks ago and have been obsessed with her a bit. Been hunting down every recording of hers I can find but the song EVERGREEN is quite unique, the arrangement, the performance...and it is still my favorite, followed closely by "My Mind." Listened to the cuts from her album "Dawn" and her guest appearances with other artists. Some of that is good, but none of it touches this live performance of "Evergreen" and "My Mind." These two songs are so ALIVE and beautiful and irresistible and evoke so much emotion in the listener...could they not have let her debut have more music that captures the beauty and feeling of her voice like these two songs? I know the songs on her album are HER work that she recorded for a reason, a lot to do with the grief that she had just been through at that time. What do you guys think?
This is real music. This is real art. This is real beauty. No flash, no bling, no hype, no BS. Yebba thank you for not wasting your talent. Thank you for sharing your gift with us all.

❤so very sorry and you will see her again in heaven
Felt the pain in her voice!
Ed’s reference brought me here..I’m so glad that I got to hear this soulful voice 😍
M2
Indeed
who?
I keep returning to this song... can’t get enough of every piece of it. She keeps her runs so interesting, yet never overdone. It’s as if the run is part of the storytelling, causing crescendos in the story of the song😭😭 love it and her soo sooo much!
fabulous comment!
You can definitely tell that listening to black singers and gospel music has influenced her style big time. Beautiful voice. You go girl!❤️
Idk why ppl have a problem acknowledging this- it’s a fact that isn’t negative at all.
🤍🌷
I am S C A L P E D
your mom is proud🌲❤️
same

You need help? There's over 100 ppl. Just ask and I'm always available.
Listening to her taught me a lot about my own voice she uses every part of her register so strategically and I commend That
This song is so beautiful & touching, it gives me goose bumps.....Who's here 2020🙌
STILL
STILL this song brings me to tears every trip 🥺❤️
Same. Idk if a UA-cam video ever gave me chills before
2021 here. Wow! She’s awesome.
2021 still here
This song gives me chills EVERYTIME I listen!!!! And this arrangement/version is straight STOOOOOOPID!!! This young lady is bad!!!! Do y'all hear me!!!!!
every follicle of hair I have is levitating right now. just wow!! every time I think she can't possibly surpass my expectations, she somehow does.
My mom passed away August 19th of this year and I can't tell you how much this song touched my soul
Sincere apologies. Yebba got me trolling comments🤦🏾♀️🙏🏾❤
Saw this exactly on 19 August in 2022, 3 years later. Hope u doing better ❤️
She's singing from the heart. God bless her and her family. Just wow! "I kissed my Penny and I threw it in"
I keep listening to this song over and over. My husband of 38 years died very suddenly in 2021. He's my evergreen and that gives me so much comfort.
The sadness in her eyes 3:24 gives me chills through my entire body and soul.
thank you! I’ve seen so many people watch this and nobody ever seems to say that
during the song it looks like she’s really finding deliverance, and the second it ends she looks so... unhealed
like she’s back to just being a kid who lost her mom
I thought it was just me who saw that I thought I was trippn 🥺
@@nicktomato7Aww, man. This comment messed me up. 😢 Beyond just enjoying her brilliant vocals, I feel kind of protective big sister feelings when it comes to her. I want her to be safe and well. She seems like she’s in great spirits lately. I hope she’s healing more everyday. And I hope the people looking out for her within the music industry are being kind and fair to her. She’s such a gem, and she’s been through so much.
it was entirely too much for me. I had to keep pausing it because I literally could not comprehend it. just when you thought she sang the hell out this song before and you finally was able to get up off the damn floor here her ass wanna come and put you back on the floor. that damn Yebba! Yebba stop this! gimmie time to cope!!!!! EVERYTHING!!!!! YASSSSSS!!!!
dude i just watched her my mind song on solar and my mind literally blown, frick like what a freaking gift she is
I CAME HERE TO LOOK FOR A COMMENT LIKE THIS I'M DYIN
Ikr! I had to keep pausing it!
I agree!! Im still on the floor!!😂
This young lady ..this is gift is "exceedingly abundantly more that we could ask or think" truly a gift from God
THIS is how you do a video for a SUBLIME song. got me feelin some type of way. THANK YOU ABBEY!!!!!!
i'm patiently waiting for that masterpiece album :)
ME TOOOOOOO! Can't wait!!!!
I kissed my penny and I threw it in
I prayed I'd keep my soul
Went down to the river where the water bends
The only place I know
Oh I can't see
The forest, for the trees
So, will you wait for me?
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for me?
My evergreen
Standin' at the water's edge
The Mississippi's overflowin' (yeah)
Hold your current in my hands
You bring the meanin' to my moments
Oh-oh (ohh) I-ee-I (can't see)
The forest for the trees
So, will you wait for me?
Will you wait for me?
Will you wait for me?
My evergreen
Oh, I can't see
The forest, for the trees
Oh, I feel so
Hopeless against the stream
So, will you wait for me? My evergreen
I know it's just as hard in Heaven
So, will you wait for me? My evergreen
I know it's just as hard
My evergreen
Evergreen
My evergreen
I lost my sister 05/14/21. This song has helped me cope so much. Yebba's vocal talents are impeccable. Love her❤❤❤🙏🏾
I'm here for the same reason. My sister died in her sleep last week on 20-Dec, 2022. I'm lost. And I'm so sorry for your loss too. 😥🙏🏻
Hugs to both of you ladies x
I just love that this is finally about to blow up. Yebba deserves so many flowers and a lot of people are gonna give her hers bc of her appearance on CLB.
🙏🙏🙏
Right when I saw that I said this is it! 🔥🔥🔥☄️
What's CLB
i wish this video had no end, seriously 💖
this the was the only song downloaded on my phone (cos I ain't paid my phone contract, so bye Spotify) while on a 2 hour flight. Literally the whole 2 hours just me locked into this song. No regrets. ❤️
It doesn't have one if you keep hitting replay for hours on end like I do. lol.
You definitely have to listen to her sing with your eyes closed and just let the music sing to your soul. She isn't just your average singer. She was born for this🙏🏾💜💜
YEBBA didn't have to go this hard...but she did...for us.
A nostalgic, musically genuis description of love, loss, and yearning for a lost loved one. Her EVERGREEN 😢❤🙏. She will forever live on in yebbas heart and soul❤
Can she add this version on Spotify - it’s mixed and mastered more naturally. You can hear the actual pain in her voice it’s so beautiful.
give me them gospel runs, baby.
abbey's mom would have to be proud. no doubt about it. SAAAAAANG, girl!
I just... she's so good i just...
What have we done to deserve this masterpiece
I’ve been coming back since 2019 - nearly 7 years later and I still can’t seem to get enough. ❤
I am in literal tears right now. This is what praise and worship sounds like. I can only imagine Heaven’s Choir. Thank you Lord.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I literally haven no words....as in there are no words in the Queen English Dictionary to truly describe how...ah man I even don't know anymore....
If I'm happy about one thing this year...is that I became aware of the artistry of YEBBA. Thank you Beats 1/Apple Music. But most of all...thank you YEBBA.
PS: As a physical indication of how much I enjoyed this...I found myself doing the infamous YEBBA Claw that she occasionally does during her live performances.
Max Buady co-signed 😢💚
God put this on my heart...it has been a lonnnnng time since a song brought me to tears but, this white woman did it tonight. I pray that her mother’s spirit is free from any all pain she felt while she was here with us in the flesh. I hope this woman never stops sharing her voice with us and that will always music brings her solace.
YASSSSSS I stopped cold in my tracks here at work and started crying with goosebumps 🥺 Her Mama is smiling down very proud of Her Yebba ❤
I cry every time i watch this. Her momma is so proud
My beautiful boy took his own life 12 days ago.....his brother chose this song to play as we all came together ,finished the service & walked slowly ,heartbroken & full of gratitude ,we had him 22yrs x thank u Yebba & yr music crew ,thank you x
😢
This song makes me think of all the strong, Black women in my life. My grandmother was my evergreen, and I miss her so much. She taught the love of Christ and fear of the Lord.
It finally hit me. The meaning of this song. I'm in pieces.
I am shooketh! My God! What a voice! The runs...whew, chile!
Ever since I found the video of Yebba singing My Mind I have been hooked!!!🔥😇 She's an angel.
Zaddy Will that's exactly how I found her.... by total accident
I heard this song for the first time yesterday. It’s been a long time since any song has the vote such emotion in me. Just beautiful!
At work. Fighting to hold back my tears. Abbey you are phenomenal. You are a movement. The soul in your voice the vibrato just everything. Your mom is smiling ♥️
Same here 🥺
thank you yebba...through our tears we read, "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" Luke 21:28
im in tears. point blank period.
How can I have NEVER heard of this immensely talented woman until December of 2024? How, I ask you? 🎄
Your voice is straight from the heavens, a gift from God.
I stumbled across “My Mind” via Madison Ryann Ward, via Letterman’s monthly Netflix show “My Next Guest.”
I’m gonna make a leap and say Yebba was my favorite guest so far. This chick is insanely talented and what’s more, is capable of exposing her soul so unapologetically, that it RIPS right through mine.
Unbelievably Fresh! Yebba is the real deal, bringing musicianship back to music!
I like that her face turned serious after singing the song as if she herself were so impressed or emotional.
This is real music. This is real art. This is real beauty. No flash, no bling, no hype, no BS. Yebba thank you for not wasting your talent. Thank you for sharing your gift with us all.
I’m a little shocked she isn’t all over the radio right now. She is absolutely one of the best female vocals
1:52 my fav part of this song love yebba man she just amazing singer i hope she win awards & keep singing sky is a limit 4 u yebba & RIP 2 her mom🙏🙏🙏
BEST SONG OF ALL TIME!!!
Her voice reaches to the deepest depths of you. This song has helped me through so many difficult moments in my life. ❤
I have maybe written 4 comments in all my years of UA-cam. 1) this touches my 💓 as a music lover and someone who loves their mom and lost them. 2) I feel cheated because I would've paid to be in the back to hear this in all of its acoustic beauty over plenty of concerts. 3) I love yebba gift
I AM QUAKING NEVER HAVE I SHIVERED SO MUCH AT SOMEONE'S VOICE YOU ARE HEAVEN SENT
