@@ranchhand4013 someone is clueless and it is not Scofield, says the guy who has been a deadhead longer than you have been alive...remove head from lower torso, can hear better.
Haven't been to a concert since the 1994 Grateful Dead Autumn Tour. 1995 I traveled for work in the spring and summer so I saved my time for the Fall that never happened. With that being said, I'd go see Phil and his friends. This is a really good Saint Stephen.
Would love to hear a Celebration ( like 2002) Celebration in the wind Open the doors, let the show begin Come like lightning, come like rain Come on the double with your ball and chain Come with your trouble, your sweat and strain Check 'em all at the door with your grief and pain....💃💫💃🌈💃💫💃Opener!!
Yes absolutely!! My favorite friend of phils, also I love when he sings Brent songs, he’s the only one that can pull it off and give it the right kick.
Almost SIXTY YEARS this man's been rockin' us with these glorious songs!! The Phil Zone is deep, wide and looong!!! Miss seeing him with all the boys, but man this is so awesome, surrounding himself with greatness - always a smart move! ~*~Long Live The Dead~*~
Thanks for sharing this gem with us. Wish I had been there, but you all were there! Finally, forty years later, they let Phil sing. God bless you Phil. Lesh is More. Jerry is still God. LSD still saves. 💛 🦍Not Fade Away🦍 Peace
Sco handling the string break just after 9:14 like a boss. He was starting to fly on that lick too! Absolutely love everything that Sco brings to the table.
@@kelleyrogers8107 yeah I like dead and company but something is lacking there. Jay lane sat in the other night, he could just do the whole tour by himself lol. Don’t get me wrong I am glad they are still with us, but it’s just lacking something. But I love the core 4, They will always be my musical hero’s! The Grateful Dead members are my best friends that I never met.
Seeing these old timers in their late 70s early 80s jamming like this, makes you wonder how the hip hop and Kanye and the homies will be looking jamming when they are 80!😬🤪😂
Two things clear- John is a wonderful player, and you never show up with a tele if the other player has himbucker and expect to cut through a mix well. Widh Warren would have realized it. Great clip. Thanks
Wow. Who'da guessed? I'm not particularly favorable to Dead redos, but this is good. There was a Dead something or other on Colbert's show a few years ago, and it was embarrassing - Weir, Hart, Kruetzmann, I forget who else, but not Phil Lesh. This has life. Glad to see Phil is still alive, still playing. Warren Haynes, always great. Doesn't try to be Jerry either.
Dead and Company is just fine too. It amazes me that people can’t simply like something or leave it alone. They have to exist in extremes… “I like this, but I don’t like that.” Like you can have the affirmative without the negative my guy.
Four music stands on stage? Come on now. You can't memorize these iconic songs? That's a bit disappointing. On the upside, ol' Phil doesn't need a damn music stand and the drummer remembered how to keep a fast beat.
Agree. I attended the show. The second set really jammed like this clip. Scofield has the vibe. I saw the Q back in 2002 at the Frost with Herring and Rob Baracco. Wanted to see Scofield. So good. Would like to see the whole show.
Warren Haynes, a most remarkable chameleon.
His ability to fit into multiple genres, styles is just outstanding 👏 🙌
Scofield adds such a fresh take on the song. His playing is on another level! I’m sure Jerry would have loved playing with him.
Agreed. My mind reels at both Warred and John up on that stage.
The stuff legends are made of.
They sound freaking haggard and old. What the hell are you talking about?
Kimmock man. Scofield is kind of clueless here.
@@ranchhand4013 someone is clueless and it is not Scofield, says the guy who has been a deadhead longer than you have been alive...remove head from lower torso, can hear better.
@@ranchhand4013 damn. Apples and oranges man. Love Steve but Scofield has earned his place with Phil's band and dead tunes.
Not too shabby -- leading a band with this lineup -- for an 80-year-old, with style, elan, panache, and verve.

Phil & Friends has had many line ups since we lost Jerry. The ones with Warren were easily my favorites.
Anything with Steve Kimock & Phil is solid gold 🤘🏾🤤🎶🎧🎶

82 and still bringing it!!
Really good. Takes me back to better times and Warren Haynes is just so versatile.
As someone who isn’t a Dead diehard, I can’t tell you how much Phil’s smile when John is playing means to me. What music is all about
If Phil smiles, it is good. But I dont have to feel it. Phil should make some new music.
It's such an inspiration the way all the members of the Dead have continued to expand their families and continue to provide the very best of music.
And always manage to surround themselves with great musicians
Everything Phil touched turns to joy
Phil's looking good, playing good, I'm digging it! Warren is a rock, as always.
OMG, I have a tear or two in my eyes. I'm a product of the 70s and miss the captain so much. Thanks for keeping it alive and peace always 👍!
Beautiful isn’t it?!🙏
🎶Agree🦅🕊

Mr Scofield absolutely has the feel....
And now, humbucker goodness. Wow.
He creates it!

I like Phil's taste in friends! This is sweet!
Phil surely has some good talented friends! Love it!
It’s really nice to see Phil and this show is freaking Awesome
Warren's tone and playing and phrasing are on fire. So musical. Best I have seen. I like him with chords behind his solos.
That Warren solo starting at 5:55 is just filled with awesome run after awesome run. Great jam!!!
Some of the best solo development I have seen Warren do. Very tasty. Great tone too.
I saw Scofield play a PAF show in the mid 2000's. He was excellent.
Great to see Phil out still making music!
Such great music, it can be played and enjoyed all these year later. Like Mozart and Beethoven. Classic.
So good
Amazing

Hard to believe Medeski is holding it all together in this lineup.

Yeah perfect lady’s touch!

Keep on truckin .sound amazing
SCOFIELD? Now I've seen (and heard) just about everything.
Still have my holographic ticket from the '95 Boston Garden show that wasn't meant to be. The music never stops...
Smoking hot jam! Phil has it going on with Modeski, Scofield and Haynes?!? More please

For a minute I thought I still had it on 1.25x after watching Dead co shows
The spirits (!) ...I hear the spirits
Sco breaks a string about 9:40 and the tech is on the spot swap out the ax for the back up.
Holy shite this is great.
The singer reminds me of Elaine Benes from Seinfeld!! She dances like A FULL DRY BODY HEAVE SET TO MUSIC!!! SWEET FANCY MOSES!!!
It’s Amy Helm, daughter of the late Levon Helm of The Band.
They’re not teasing that Stephen. They give it to us real good. “What would be the answer to the answer man?”
Among other things, they teased "The Eleven" at some point.

Anyone have comments on Hartke amps?
And jamming to the original faster tempo, come on Bob I have faith you can do it too! DnC kinda getting stuck in molasses
Go see JRAD!!!!
That venue sounded so hollow. So many better venues in CT to play. I’d be hard pressed to go back there again.
Too fast! Beats hearing Bobby recite this like William Shatner does in slow motion. Phil and Friends are awesome!
Lol, Shatner, yep Phil is singing his butt off and he’s frickin 82, wow
Keepin it true!!!
What tuning was scofield in on other guitar after string break
Do they still chant “Let Phil Sing?”
They do! and I remember, peace and happy 4th to you.
hoooooooly smokes!
I dont think there are 2 people better to do this job than Sco and Warren ofc other than the OGs
Got some Phish vibes to it
ya ya
Seems John changed guitars during song.
MEDESKI
3/5 of the Q
This so trippin! Takes back and here again wow - brain is smiling.
If only Phil would not sing 🎶
OMG.....How I agree with that . His wife will wheel him out at any cost .
Much better than the Bob Weir money grab. I think Jerry would approve of Wayne Hayes. He can play.
No need to bag on Bobby and D&Co. They don't need the $'s but they do have a huge operation, hundreds of families to support.
