    Right now I am playing basketball every single day and just doing different workouts to get better how do you feel about playing every day vs playing on certain days and taking breaks.

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  3 роки тому +6

      You definitely want to take a few breaks in there (1-2 days completely off). Your body racks of stress as you don't rest it, and eventually it will catch up with you.

      Can someone explain to me what he is trying to say

    • @izak4459
      @izak4459 3 роки тому +1

      Basically as you workout and push your body, you damage your muscle fibers making small cracks and breaks in the muscle fiber, when you rest your muscles they repair these small cracks making them slightly larger and stronger. If you never take any breaks your body won't be able to repair that damage, as you go on the damage grows larger and that can cause pain and injury, to summarize, take rests so your body doesn't crash and cause injurys

  • @cammcad
    @cammcad 3 роки тому +3

    Bro, not esoteric at all. Well said and great analogies!
    A higher level of consciousness also helps. The idea of "Ill believe it when I see it" is completely false. One must believe it first... then you will see it.

    I have a question. Kobe worked 8 hours a day on basketball. He did 4 sets of 2 hour workouts each day. Was there another secret that he did that made him successful? Thanks again.

    • @rahulsiddharth554
      @rahulsiddharth554 3 роки тому

      Tbh the rest is talent. If Kobe was 6'2 or 6'3(and he still played sg) he would not be as succesful(nobody would take a chance on him), if he wasn't athletic, he would not be succesful, and also he had a dog mentality. But he really maxed out his potential.

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  3 роки тому +8

      Kobe also had a team of some of the best trainers making sure he was as recovered as he could possible be, and also probably had certain recovery-related genetics that helped him as well.
      Still, let's not forget that from 2007 onward, Kobe was pretty much injury-laden his entire career, at times even playing with an injured shooting wrist, and barely any cartilage left in his knee. Who knows how good he could have been if he rested a little more?

      @@mrwallstreet1 Because he worked hard? If he was 6'1-6'2 and not nearly as athletic he would not be anywhere close to the player he was. Even though it might be a feel good story that he was the best simply the hardest worker, there were plenty other factors that made him the player he was.
