    Stance and Balance:
Start with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Slightly bend your knees and stay balanced.
Distribute your weight evenly between both feet.
    Grip the Ball Properly:
Hold the ball with your shooting hand, fingers spread comfortably.
Your guide hand should be on the side of the ball, slightly on top.
    Keep your wrist relaxed.
    Shot Pocket:
Bring the ball up from your quad to your chest to your eye level.
Elbow should be underneath the ball, forearm aligned with the basket.
    Aiming and Focus:
Focus on a specific spot on the rim (front or back).
Visualize the ball going through the hoop.
    Shooting Motion:
Use your legs to generate power.
As you release the ball, extend your arm fully.
Snap your wrist for a smooth release.
    Follow-Through:
After releasing the ball, your hand should point toward the basket.
Maintain balance and hold your follow-through.
    Practice Regularly:
Repetition is key. Practice shooting consistently.
Start close to the basket and gradually move back.
Work on shooting off the catch and off the dribble.
    Mental Preparation:
    Believe in yourself. Confidence matters.
Stay focused during practice and games.
Remember, becoming a great shooter takes time and dedication. Consistent practice and attention to detail will help you improve your basketball shooting skills

As well it's all about your confidence and mindset. It all depends on the person as well, the way I hoop in open runs is the same way I hoop in real games. I freestyle and visualize a lot, when I practice and have fun.

First reflex is bounce, bouncing motion with standing drills in motion. Shot is one step after pickup, done in motion. Just reach to bounce pass from inside, the rim. Or reach, with jump.

I started Basketball this year because my friends play it and the kids in the year above me do too. I love it now but the best player there (by a long shot) always marks me. We did go to the same primary school together as well so that’s how I know him.
And I’m glad he defends me because that’s how I know I’ll get better. But right now I’m probably the worst player on the courts during school breaks but I’m determined to get so much better at the game. My main sport is football (soccer) and I’m good at that but I love Basketball too and I don’t want to be a burden to my team. So everyone reading this, go out there and tell yourself that you will get better.
