Stance and Balance: Start with your feet shoulder-width apart. Slightly bend your knees and stay balanced. Distribute your weight evenly between both feet. Grip the Ball Properly: Hold the ball with your shooting hand, fingers spread comfortably. Your guide hand should be on the side of the ball, slightly on top. Keep your wrist relaxed. Shot Pocket: Bring the ball up from your quad to your chest to your eye level. Elbow should be underneath the ball, forearm aligned with the basket. Aiming and Focus: Focus on a specific spot on the rim (front or back). Visualize the ball going through the hoop. Shooting Motion: Use your legs to generate power. As you release the ball, extend your arm fully. Snap your wrist for a smooth release. Follow-Through: After releasing the ball, your hand should point toward the basket. Maintain balance and hold your follow-through. Practice Regularly: Repetition is key. Practice shooting consistently. Start close to the basket and gradually move back. Work on shooting off the catch and off the dribble. Mental Preparation: Believe in yourself. Confidence matters. Stay focused during practice and games. Remember, becoming a great shooter takes time and dedication. Consistent practice and attention to detail will help you improve your basketball shooting skills
I started Basketball this year because my friends play it and the kids in the year above me do too. I love it now but the best player there (by a long shot) always marks me. We did go to the same primary school together as well so that’s how I know him. And I’m glad he defends me because that’s how I know I’ll get better. But right now I’m probably the worst player on the courts during school breaks but I’m determined to get so much better at the game. My main sport is football (soccer) and I’m good at that but I love Basketball too and I don’t want to be a burden to my team. So everyone reading this, go out there and tell yourself that you will get better.
As well it's all about your confidence and mindset. It all depends on the person as well, the way I hoop in open runs is the same way I hoop in real games. I freestyle and visualize a lot, when I practice and have fun.

First reflex is bounce, bouncing motion with standing drills in motion. Shot is one step after pickup, done in motion. Just reach to bounce pass from inside, the rim. Or reach, with jump.
Bro I want to be good so bad and make the nba but I don’t know what drills to do alone I feel like if I waste all my time doing somet it won’t work and I won’t make it far
More than 2 years ago I was amazing a basketball but had the 2 hand shot and bad form, I didn’t play at all during that time and 2 weeks ago i got back into basketball to tryout for my schools team and I needed to train myself good form, I’ve been playing everyday and I haven’t gotten any better I’m starting to think I’m not getting anywhere with it, Any tips?
Hey man, I’m not the best shooter, not the best athlete or even the best player. I really need help with learning to beat my friends and defenders on plays because they lock me up, and I think it’s really important I learn it now at a young age then later. Please do respond!
Friends invited me to some semi finals and we lost 46 to 89. I fight and teach mma or boxing etc. Had a very fun time but got my butt whooped. I can't ball to save my life 😂 might be an athlete but I'm missing that groove.
I've done really good at pick ups and practice but when it comes in tournament I can't can't do what I've done in training and practice i think i really suck at basketball
Imma tell you something, Its not basketball that is hard, it’s just life and your mindset if you put your mindset in a situtation that u want to get better, you can achieve it no matter what. Remember basketball is the problem, its your mindset.
I just wanted to tell you that Jesus loves you so much and He is waiting for you with open arms Please accept Him in your heart and life while He is near Also, True Christianity is not just a religion, it's a Father-child relationship with God
@@itssecret.722 I don’t think the problem is picking up the ball… it’s probably preexisting weaknesses and injuries on your end. Avoiding picking a basketball off the ground is pretty fragile haha
@ByAnyMeansBasketball crazy because I'm in great shape and never had an injury before that drill. I didn't mean picking a ball off the ground. I meant grabbing it fast and exploding hard upward can injure your back if not careful.

I like how he shows the misses and mess ups in the video, shows that we aren’t perfect and that mistakes are normal.

I'm 6ft a tall height specially in the Philippines my friend and relative always told me that I should play basketball so I'm here
same situation
I shoot a lot by myself and one thing that keeps me motivated is that walk to get the ball on a miss balllife
thanks tons, i cant really train with anyone and i got basketball again in august, rn i need to work on left hand, layups, shots, and decision making
I love how you even show your missed shots

So cool how he puts his missed shots into the video too
I just turned 35. Is it too late for me to learn how to play?
Its never too late to have fun brother 😁
I am aiming for the league you know and nothing gonna stop me🎉
Why ball is always slipping outta my hand? I got weak arms and skinny hands. Ive been training for months.. this is so frustrating
Possibly just hand placement more than anything
Can you make one like this for ball handling?
Were you playing Asake at the back
can you do an attention to detail video on Jared McCain?
This guy is a basketball scientist 🔥
Love this!!!!!
So in the shooting section Is like working in like off the dribble shooting, off the move shooting, catch and shoot and all off That ?
Could you make a video of how to get mote fhisicall as basketball player ?? Thanks

Steps to becoming basketball pro
- have a NBA player as your father
- be born a basketball player
Does this sum it up
in the offseason how much training should be live vs by yourself just shooting
Repetition is EVERYTHING
Make 10 shots from every angle before changing up the angle.
Controlled, slow repetitions will make you a better baller.

How do u train with other players I’ve only ever trained alone
Can you make a video breaking down Jaylen Brown, Jayson tatum, and the rest of the celtics 2024 championship run?

Is it too late if im 14 165cm. i have no basketball experience and im in australia wants to make it to the nba
Its never too late. You’re still young so grind bro. Get a ball and start dribbling and playing pick up
if u don't have a trainer work on shots u know u gonna try in game and on ball handling period
Should I continue basketball even tho whenever I play I easily cut ky hands with the balls hard skin
thanks man i need this

U need to train yourself, train with a friend, play 1v1s 3v3s and 5v5s. Otherwise you will always be missing out on sth
