I’ve learned this lesson before, and sometimes the “guilt” seeps back in. The fact is that you’ll play better if you play to enjoy yourself. You have to take pleasure in the basketball things. Take pleasure in a hard rebound. Take pleasure in an extra boxout. Take pleasure in double-teaming more effectively and getting a strip. But also take pleasure in the hard lessons. Take pleasure in getting stripped on a drive. Take pleasure in having a good shot blocked. Be excited that someone on the court is teaching you a lesson or pushing you to compete harder.
"Do what you know is right and take pleasure in it" is just one of the many take aways from this video that will stick with me forever. Thank you for being such a blessing to the world, idk what we did to deserve this dedication and commitment from you but you deserve much much more than the return you have received, you've no idea how much you really help people out here n how deeply appreciated you are by those who know of you, prime example of true quality. Can't get enough of this, please keep doing you.🙏🏾✊🏾
I think so for example on days that u dont have practice or after practice instead of being guilty for what u are not doing in the moment just relax and enjoy resting reading hanging out whatever it is
I got injured this October Month and a half out from basketball, couldn't walk for a month... When I came back i played the best basketball of my life with the most joy and I didn't touch a basketball form a month and a half before thay, it's January now and I lost that joy but I can't stop mid-season Thanks for the advice coach
Hey coach I have a question. Since Kobe is your favorite player and he always says get better every single day. How would he justify taking the 7-10 day break. I feel like this is the complete opposite of everything I’ve been taught and taught myself. During the break can you still lift and do things that make you feel nourished?
Something I’ve learned that you may be able to apply is: 1) find other ways to get better film/studying the game. Footwork, positioning, how to get your shot off, certain spots, weaknesses and strength. Usually UA-cam is my friend for that. But in a relaxed manor like watching your favorite player, how to apply things different players do, while just enjoying watching that player. 2) meditating- take like an hour to meditate and work through things that you find difficult in your life and think how can you be better in a spiritual sense (God, nature, pets & enjoying sitting still) 3) do other things you enjoy that help your mind (card games, puzzles, anything that challenges your mind) 4) small physical tasks ~ yoga/deep stretching, walking & going for a jog. Just some things to relax your mind and slow down and reconnect with yourself. You’ll feel improved in a different sense, more mental and spiritual than physical.

See u there
If you put in work on both the surface and deep game. You are gonna be unstoppable regardless. And you will feel comfortable doing it

Great video!🙏🏽 I think the 10 days break without Touching a ball a little too extreme tho!
That's what i was trying to find... Thank you so much ❤️
How do we do law 5
Please make a video on law 5
@@alexojo9055 It’s basically about having an alter ego and using it to break a mental block (eg. Trying to score 10 but not going further)
@@razza1580 ik that but how do i create one

Now I finally understand why Dennis Rodman was so elite. 🙌
What do you think about Mikey Williams?
Can you make a podcast also? That would be great to start my day listening to facts 🏀
Is it possible to perform this technique while doing things we do not like?
How do I take a break if I still have practices and games?
I wonder what happen to EGT basketball?
If you give up basketball does that mean you need to give up lifting for 12 days as well?
GOD bless🙏🏾💕

I was actually wondering the exact same thing.
