I have bin looking for a birth watch for many years. This watch just reached out to me. I love the classic look and style. And for the money its really hard to beat. For me! Thank you for watching. It means ALOT to me!!

Beautiful watch. Mine is from 1966, also with the 601 movement and gold-filled. When it comes to classic, sure is hard to beat Omega. Thanks for sharing.

Nice one. I got the same model but gold plated, that I found in a drawer at my mothers house. Later we figured out that it was my great grandfathers watch, it was technically my first mechanical watch.

+Steve D Thanks Steve. I dont know your year, but you can find some beautiful ones on ebay if you are patient. Omega was for me. Because it was and is still a wonderful brand. Plus they are so reasonable compared to other brands is you don't mind some are that are overhauled. For me I don't mind. Heck it's 52 years old it probably needs some love!👍👍👊⌚

Hello Ricardo. I believe this was refurbished. I was look for a long time on ebay and found this for sale from a jewler in California. It was the birth watch I wanted so I went for it. I debated on many different watches but this one fit the bill. Thank you for watching and commenting!👍👊⌚

That Seamaster looks to be in excellent condition, so being 50 years old, my guess it has been completely overhauled? Do you know about its history at all? Was it done by Omega, or some local watchmaker?
Question 2: Is it a birth year watch because that series was introduced in 1965, or is there some coding of the serial number that tells you it was manufactured that year?

+Lee K Hello Lee. Yes I bought this watch from dealer in California. And it was overhauled by a local watchmaker near LA. Which I don't mind to much because of the year. I really didn't want to drop a grand. That is all the history I know of it. There is a serial number on the inside of the case. Which can be looked up on a list on line. I really do like the watch, maybe some new parts but I'm good with it. Lee the country side is gorgeous. We missed the leaves turning, but a well needed break. If you would like any pics of the inside or the list Ican send them to you. The style of that era is just so clean, classy and simple. Just to have one from my birth year makes me so happy. And hey it's an Omega!😊😊

I wondered about the price, but this was already a 6-year-old video.
I have sold that watch since then. But missed my birth watch and bought another. Seems like a nice one is around 1000 to 1200 US. 👍🏻⌚️👊🏻
