Thank you for the guide. However, I don't get it. Equipping Harmonia or Queen as a Blood Code does not allow me to equip Brodiaea anymore because Brodiaea has a C+ requirement in DEX which neither Harmonia nor Queen meet. Is there something I'm missing? Was this patched since this guide was made? Thanks for any clarification.
@@Fextralife Aah, thank you! I swapped my Dex passive for more Mind, that's why I didn't meet the requirement anymore. Thanks a lot, I'll Like your guide.

I had a strength build that uses two hand sword, but since my other weapon slot is free i opted for a halberd that fits my build which is obliterator with fortification. obliteration is the only halberd that scales off strength which fits perfectly for my build allowing me to do quick trades while blocking and also use chariot rush
Friendly tip for anyone interested in playing this or any oher Ichor intensive setup involving Blood Sacrifice. If you take the active skill Cleansing Light from the Queenslayer tree and keep it active it will refund about 80% of the damage you take over time as regenerating hp. This includes the cost of Blood sacrifice which will allow Much more liberal use of the skill and Ichor as a whole with a little bit of management
It's also very helpful since this is a fairly squishy build that depends on evasion rather than guarding or poising through damage, so having that health regen for when you do mistime a dodge and take a big hit goes a long way towards helping you stay alive. This is even more true when it is run with Gift Extension. While this does take up an additional slot that some players might want to use for a burst spell, the returns you get from Blood Sacrifice and the boost to survivability are such dramatic advantages that Cleansing Light certainly deserves consideration.
Thank you for this series. This is the first game in which I had fun making builds, but I'm a novice at it so your videos have been a huge help. Been building after this one since I like bayonetts, thanks again!
For those that don't have access to the Astrea Code like myself, and are using the Libertador bayonet. I've found through a few tests that, while not massively high, "Cognitive Zeal" does add a little damage to the shots when you activate it. Since it further increases Mind and Willpower for its activation period.
Your builds are really user friendly and easy for pick up and play style. The builds from FightinCowboy have insane damage potential to the point where it is disgusting how fast it melts bosses and enemies. I want to try this one over his because I plan to use this for my first full run of NG+ for the ease of play and I feel it suits my playstyle better than his gunner build.
caster tip, queens elemental magic like walpurgis fire only deals a bit more dmg than the ones you find earlier, like the caster fire thing, dont use those if you wanna save ichor at all or want a spell to be used often
A good strat is using Eva's bayonet w/ fortifide and having the charge rate passive + consumable up at the same time. You will be able to spam charged hits with max range faster than normal hits, raising your DPS by a lot. I hit well over 5k per charge on my bayonet build so it's not difficult to do 100k+ dmg before running out of ichor at a fairly rapid rate.
Not precisely the route I went. But I use the melee quite a bit more, particularly since there is a lot of close quarter areas and Brodiea's combo (and many other bayonets) includes a backstep perfect for sneaking shots in. When I could lure enemies, I found that the Ivy type blood veils excel for aggroing, stocking ichor and then leaving the enemy open to being taken down at range very easily with a shot maybe two. It made for a very efficient, if not outright powerful, build that made most of the game a bit too easy.
It would be nice if there was some kind of disclaimer about Gift Extension being a Season Pass/Digital Deluxe/Pre-order bundle and NOT in the Artemis Code, but an entirely new code, called Astrea. And due to this if there could be an alternative Gift to use in place of it.
There are 2 options I can think of that might be a decent replacement since I have the same issue I don't have access to Gift Extension. Option 1 is Gift Prowess from the Harmonia Code, it increases gift speed so pretty good for the longer cast time spells like Queen's. Option 2 would be Cognitive Zeal it's an active buff and the opposite of Somatic Zeal, it increases Mind/Willpower so should lead to a decent damage boost while it's active, do keep in mind you can only get Cognitive Zeal from gaining 10 medals so easiest would be to just help some randoms. There are probably some others that might be better but of the top of my head I think those are probably the 2 best choices.
Ishtar is a blood code people should consider looking at for this build. A bit less damage than queen or harmonia but does more damage when adrenaline is up.
I’m using this build and finally unlocked harmonia and libretador but it’s over 50% of my weight and it’s very annoying :( I thought that it would be quick since swift destruction is on this build yet I’m unable to even be quick with libretador which negates the benefit UPDATE: if you want to be quick and use both libretador you should transform Libretador with the Prometheus chrome and use the Noble Silver Blood Veil! A question: Is not better use Riot Breaker instead of Brodiaea? If you need range, you can use the charged strong attack of Libertador and having Riot make you more ready to fight more mobs in one time. See for example hordes. Trying them without someting reliable for crowd control, beside one spell/gift, should be better, no?
I tried this. But I made changes. Instead of Blood Sacrifice, I use Chaotic Ash. Only requires 1 ichor and can give massive amounts of ichor back. I switched Baba Yaga's Gaze and Walpurgis Fire to Lightning and Ice Barrage.
Im looking for a mix of Bayonetta ranged/melee hybrid build. I want the option to either play ranged and up close on the fly. Im looking to lose ranged power for some melee power so they even out but dont really know where to go. seems most build go one way or the other.

As I found out a lot of people either go Alleviation (less weight, little less damage) or Fortification (more weight, lots of damage).
Get Devour. It'll boost the drain rate for all your attacks without sacrificing too much damage. Fortification will make you too heavy, and elemental dmg is situational. Just stick with devour, you can't go wrong with it.

@Josiah Duff Hey Josiah, I'm not fextra but I can give you some data for this skill. This passive gives you around 50% more max weight for your equipped code. It's not a bad skill especially for beginners who're not that experienced with creating builds so they can test a bit here and there with less restricting weight limits. I would suggest you determine for yourself if it's worth for you :) With best regards Saronas
@Josiah Duff Sorry I spread a little misinformation here. The weightlimit bonus is not around 50%, it's about 30%. Sorry for that and please forgive my mistake :)
Would the blood veil Night Thorn be a good pick for this build? Looking between it and Night Claw It seems the better choice but I might be missing something.
Making a new character and decided to do a Bayonet build with Magic mixed in. 20k At level 60 Id says is amazing dmg.... Magic in this game Is sooo strong.
I just tried to use bridge to glory, it boosts physical damage but not ranged damage so it’s pretty useless in this build that focuses solely on ranged damage
When i build bayonetta shot do i require gift (light) base or scalling status? I want to transform my blood veil to gift if its a must or maybe fortification?
You require neither. Bayonetta shoots scale with mind and willpower, but don't care about gift light or dark stats at all. If you want to improve the shoot damage, fortifying the bayonetta instead of blood veil will give more damage.
Weapon I'm not sure of but if you want pure power with queens powers you need the suicide spur and only passives that up willpower and mind my current build I've built to also have b+ dmg but S level casting
I can explain it fairly simple. Every Code comes with a base mobility and a max weight limit. Between 1% of max weight and 100% there are 3 tiers of weight, that determine your final mobility. The base mobility from your blood code will be used if you are between 50% and 100% of your maximum weight. If you can manage to get your equipped weight to 50% or below you will move your mobility one tier in the faster direction and if you can manage to get even to 20% or below you will move two tiers in the faster direction. Let's take the Berserker Code for example. Berserker has a base mobility of slow and a max weight limit of 250. So if your equipped weight is 125,1 or higher, you will remain slow, but if you can get your weight to 125 or below your mobility will become Normal. If you can reduce your equipped weight to 50 or lower in this case, your Berserker will even become quick in movement. For other codes that have at least a normal mobility it similar with overweighting your code. Above 100% you will move one tier in the slower direction and for fast codes it's even possible to move two tiers at 130% overweight. Please keep in mind that you can never become quicker than quick and you can never be slower than slow. So you can overweighting your slow Berserker code as much as you want he will nerver get slower than he already is.
@@Saronas687 You are AMAZING! I absolutely love you. Thank you thank you and thank you! This is the best breakdown of a mechanic ive ever seen and I was nowhere near close to understanding it. I 100% understand it now. This should be made a staple forum on reddit or something cuz ive seen many confused about this and there really isnt an answer for it out there yet until this post you made. I really am appreciative because this will directly improve how I interact with the game. Thank you!
Idk how to get some blood codes, 2 I know are the first two successors. Never seen the 1 that looks like an alternate Artemis and idk how to get queen. Seen FightinCowboy have a triangular looking blood code, don't know how to get that one either
look at your char stats on weapon bars. the "mobility" need to be quick for fast dodge step instead of rolling. Basically, the weight of your weapon also a factor.
I don't believe so? She should give it to you after both of those.. both me and my friend did them in different orders and both got Artemis. You should be able to get it, have you just kept using Talk until she just repeats?
idk guys, even with Harmonia on (and with the mind/willpower gift which I don't have in my artemis build), I'm still hitting around 1000 less dmg with my shots, no idea what I'm doing wrong, ngl
Some bayonets, like the standard one or the riot breaker, have the character fire from the hip instead of shouldering the weapon. They're shorter ranged weapons so it sort of makes sense.
The Skill from Astrea isnt a must it only makes things easier so youre Buffs dont run off so fast take whatever you want a AoE spell is good because the Bayonett build isnt good for AoE but it is really fun to play :)
Soooo based on all these builds I get the feeling that only the claw blood veils are viable since NO ONE is using the other ones which sucks cause I prefer literally every other blood veil type to the claws.
*recommends using an ability that literally makes you lose health for ichor* *also recommends an ability to deal increased damage as long as you dont take damage* ....
I just tested. Blood Sacrifice does not take off Overdrive, so the buff stays. As long as you don't get hit externally (i.e enemies), you'll be fine. Also, you can use Cleansing Light to somewhat mitigate the damage from blood sacrifice.
Just ran into someone using this build. Was wondering how they were doing 2k+ per shot. (I was doing around 8k with skills but they were ichor heavy and then I was pretty much useless, meanwhile they were steady with pretty good damage)
Still having D/C issues with this game on ps4.... 6 times in one hour tonight and loose most progress every time I get a disconnect. Getting unplayable and annoying. Dunno what to do.
to avoid spoiler: The ending with you and the "tree"? If yes, you should have it (in this case you have to go out through the door after the 1st cutscene); if not: That wasn't the good one Edit: I played all 3 endings (normal->bad->good) - if you had the good one, and don't have Queen BC maybe it's required to have the other 'minor' Queen-BC's from the bad ending as well; but that's just guessing
@@DasNya I've only done 1 playthrough and got Queen on my first go. Most likely Gaming Fire didn't meet the requirements for the "true" ending which nets you Queen. All Successor memories need to be restored and I believe all the Eos vestiges need to be found as well to qualify for it. I don't actually know for sure if Eos is required at all but I wasn't taking any chances on my first playthrough and found all the vestiges in the whole game on my first run anyways, even if they weren't related to the Successors or Io.
@@RaineAmorie Pretty sure you need the Eos vestiges as well as the Successor vestiges too yeah. that's how you get True ending (got it on my first playthrough as well from just exploring everywhere
Dude, every time you use gift extension in a guide you always list the wrong blood code. Gift extension IS NOT in Artemis, it's in Mia's second blood code, Astrea, which is only available if you got the deluxe edition or bought the season pass. Not everyone is going that have access to that gift, so you should recommend an alternate gift for those who can't use it.
@@Kumire_921 Bruh. You use drain passive. And then use dragon launch and triple anihilator and 2 spin skills. Flashing fang and stun cartridge for bosses and everything is ez pez. Also slap overdrive or an elemntal buff if you canz oneshiz with the long stab.

Please do a video explaining the weight mechanic and mobility. How does it work, im so confused and just cant figure it out.
Anyone else play "Tomorrow is Mine" as background music?
I got a question wouldnt hunter be better then caster ?
Puedes hacer una guía del code de la reina (queen) + arma pesada + magia?
Why not raven wings over night claw, has alot more drain attack
Lol that thing is ugly fym
@@AnimeGamer501st might be ugly but the deeeps
Once more, nice guide -_-b
Hey i'm just new to the game, how do you get an evade like that?
look at your char stats on weapon bars. the "mobility" need to be quick for fast dodge step instead of rolling. Basically, the weight of your weapon also a factor.
@@crozraven thanks a lot. Sorry im a noob
my question is why not venom claw instead of night claw?
Cause not everyone have pre order item
I still wish for a God Eater based build
Atlas with the preorder weapon use drain and strength passives especially the one that gives health
So I'm able to talk to Mia after beating Despot but she won't gib Artemis. Any ideas?
Beat Howling Pits (south western side of City Ruins), explore there, go down hole. go through there, beat boss. then you get it
I beat Executioner first then Despot, was there an order I screwed up?
I don't believe so? She should give it to you after both of those.. both me and my friend did them in different orders and both got Artemis. You should be able to get it, have you just kept using Talk until she just repeats?
I talked to her only twice, I'll try again when boot up my game. Thanks for the help
@@monsunoguy19 No problem, hopefully it worked out for you :)
Holy shit, that's my build. Lol.
idk guys, even with Harmonia on (and with the mind/willpower gift which I don't have in my artemis build), I'm still hitting around 1000 less dmg with my shots, no idea what I'm doing wrong, ngl
I haven't DLC, so what i can use except Gift Extension?
you can ignore gift extension and just use blood sacrifice and cleansing light to return ichor for your buffs and shots.
I don't know how to make my character aim with the bayonet (when fires, he keeps the bayonet down every time)
Lock on to your target. Same with attack spells. That way you will always hit, unless your target moves the moment you attack.
Some bayonets, like the standard one or the riot breaker, have the character fire from the hip instead of shouldering the weapon. They're shorter ranged weapons so it sort of makes sense.
Whats up with the 2 different Artemis Codes?
Season pass blood code
It's called Astrea, not Artemis. How he hasn't caught on to this error is beyond me, but Astrea is a season pass blood code for Mia.
for some reason i dont have the stat requirements to use brodiaea. anyone have any idea why?
Do u have Artemis or queen
And u have DeX/ will
Where are all my casters at? ❤️🔥
The idea seems cool but the build itself seems quite weak. That's probably a problem with bayonettes themselves and not the build itself though.
What can i use if i dont have astrea skill tree?
The Skill from Astrea isnt a must it only makes things easier so youre Buffs dont run off so fast take whatever you want a AoE spell is good because the Bayonett build isnt good for AoE but it is really fun to play :)
Soooo based on all these builds I get the feeling that only the claw blood veils are viable since NO ONE is using the other ones which sucks cause I prefer literally every other blood veil type to the claws.
I believe for a caster build that specializes in dark.you would use a thorn veil at least. But yeah a lot of build just happen to fall to Claw sadly.
My bayonet build falls on hound or ivy. About preference to be fair. But it is not optimal, sadly.
What is the point of the Queen bloodcode the game at its end
For second playthrough.
*recommends using an ability that literally makes you lose health for ichor*
*also recommends an ability to deal increased damage as long as you dont take damage*
....
I just tested. Blood Sacrifice does not take off Overdrive, so the buff stays. As long as you don't get hit externally (i.e enemies), you'll be fine. Also, you can use Cleansing Light to somewhat mitigate the damage from blood sacrifice.
Well don't be a noob then and dodge attack you muppet
Is any 1 else here on dec 25 2019
Devonte Allen lol
Yea lol
Just ran into someone using this build. Was wondering how they were doing 2k+ per shot. (I was doing around 8k with skills but they were ichor heavy and then I was pretty much useless, meanwhile they were steady with pretty good damage)
tbh, hybrid weapon in this game like bayonet totally under utilized imo.
Still having D/C issues with this game on ps4.... 6 times in one hour tonight and loose most progress every time I get a disconnect. Getting unplayable and annoying. Dunno what to do.
Minor correction. Itd be crashing not disconnecting.
Only ezperience one crash my whole playthrough, try cacheing ur ps4?
@@failegion7828 thanks will try this hope it helps.
Do a quick google search (it'll explain how to do it as well.)
Clearing it may resolve the crashing issue.
@@failegion7828 so I cleared cache/defrag system and i played all night without a crash! Thanks bud I can finally get through the cathedral.
Np. Its the usual fix for constant crashing when the issue isnt wide spread (cough fallout 4 with mods on ps4 cough)
The range of the bayonet feel Abit short
depend on the weapon itself. bayonet like brodiaea have pretty long range.
How you get queen I just got the good ending and I thought that would give me it?
to avoid spoiler: The ending with you and the "tree"? If yes, you should have it (in this case you have to go out through the door after the 1st cutscene); if not: That wasn't the good one
Edit: I played all 3 endings (normal->bad->good) - if you had the good one, and don't have Queen BC maybe it's required to have the other 'minor' Queen-BC's from the bad ending as well; but that's just guessing
Did anyone else sell all their valuables not knowing what they were for ;-;
Im indonesian and i hope you have indonesian subtitle cause im cannot understand your speedy talking
You can read it and use google to translate :) fextralife.com/code-vein-builds-bayonetta-overdrive-queen/
but it's not bayonetta? it's a bayonet!
Bayonetta is a character, it's just a play on words.
@@Fextralife oh ok lol! I was confused and wasn't sure if if it was a reference or not haha.
First like
Dude, every time you use gift extension in a guide you always list the wrong blood code. Gift extension IS NOT in Artemis, it's in Mia's second blood code, Astrea, which is only available if you got the deluxe edition or bought the season pass. Not everyone is going that have access to that gift, so you should recommend an alternate gift for those who can't use it.
So easy... don't get hit lol
Too much details I can't keep up with all this 😢
What a waste of time was hoping for a transform option
this game is to hard
Damm bayonets are boring. Just use the best class. ZWEIHÄNDER.
I used that for a while and meh, it's extremely boring. All you do is buffing, hitting once and repeat.. no idea how can anyone enjoy that.
I refuse to call that Pattle a zwihänder
@@Kumire_921 Bruh. You use drain passive. And then use dragon launch and triple anihilator and 2 spin skills. Flashing fang and stun cartridge for bosses and everything is ez pez. Also slap overdrive or an elemntal buff if you canz oneshiz with the long stab.
@@Kumire_921 also you run around oneshotting or 3 hit permastunning the mobs. At least in the first play through.
@@Xerathiel I'm having more fun with a ranged build tbh.
The build is not worth it. Bayonets suck anyway.
Anyone know how to get the bayonet that fires a cone of projectiles? Not even sure if its a gift or the weapon itself.
If you mean the spread volley, that’s just a charge attack
There is a specific weapons call the riot breaker that only shoot a spread, I can’t remember where I got it, just google the name and it may tell you
that depend on the type of bayonet, so far I found charged shot with horizontal spread, circle spread (shotgun), & bigger shot.
