Gidday Josh, my son and I had a session on the flats last week, it was our first proper go and it was great fun but hard work as the water was about a metre deep where we were and flowing. Set eight pots and got nothing but found six while walking including one legal buck that outsmarted us and one legal sized soft shell. Very interesting time, cheers.
It’s not easy aye, especially on those larger tides you’ve really gotta push deep into the islands when it’s like that. Good to hear you’re at least getting out and having a crack mate. 🤙

Thanks mate, I’m glad you found some value out of it. It’s a full Frankenstein of a boat, it’s a sportsman craft hull. We paid 50 bucks for it at the local dump and built up from there.
Yea right you was lucky never under estamate the power of a crabs nipper i have had them crush right through a broom handle

Finally going to show a little cooking and eating because I'm sure you'll enjoy their wonderful taste so that's what I believe completes the video catch cook and eating them in some good recipes or sitting down picking boiled or steamed crab either way they are big and delicious

Not a bad feed for a bit of foot work mate
No complaints from us considering it wasn’t our first plan of attack. The wind forecast was not what it was supposed to be as per usual 🤦♂️

No man I didn’t watch the cook part but it just looked like there was a fair bit of movement when your old man did the compression test but obviously my eyes were off so my apologies. You guys came across so many crabs that would’ve been such a fun time ! well done and crab on !!
@@adventuresinwonderland5592 nah you’re all good mate. Loads of people these days taking crabs that just aren’t full 🤦♂️ definitely not something I’m about. I’d rather educate it. Thanks for the comments though mate 🙏🏻
No wukkas man, I’m having a crack tomorrow and am thinking I’ll need to go deep but maybe not & hopefully not as I love crabbing the swallows !!
