Though I’m sure you want nice shiny new parts... I’d recommend a resonator off a 2006 era Toyota Sienna van. 2.25” piping, 2 feet long glass pack style, and you can get them at a junkyard for next to nothing. They really mellow out the sound I’ve used them in custom systems before and I’ll do it again for sure
congrats man, I really think that sounds good, I mean don't expect a super sound, it is what it is. After 2 years of owning my EM2 I just started modifying
Vibrant ultra quiet resonator. Im shocked its still that raspy with a cat. Basically u want a much fiberglass packed shit on the exhaust as possible to get rid of the tinny noise
This is what I hear alot of the folks recommend for a good resonator. I planned to do similar on my delSol since the stock system is rusting out. I want to get an ebay exhaust just for the piping... then add the vibrant resonator with its existing aftermarket muffler. Its a pilot muffler, it actually sounds pretty throaty so I'm keeping it. On my 03 Civic EX i actually scored and entire mandrel bent system off a junkyard car. I already had a header. I installed the mandrel system and added a cherry bomb since there was no resonator. The system had a cheap RS style muffler. It was quite loud and raspy, but not as hollow sounding as your ebay system. The cherry bomb made it decently deep sounding. My buddy was junking his 2.5 inch magnaflow off his EVO. I am putting that on in stead of the rs style to see if that helps control the rasp. Shop is working on it today. Fingers crossed it keeps the nice loud deep sound, but tones down the rasp.
Another thing is piping diameter. 1.7 NA factory tuning cars need no more than a 2.25 to flow well. But the larger u go in exhaust piping the less you can do to manage the sound
Doesn't have to be a more expensive resonator but something with some packing material. That resonator was nothing more than a straight pipe. Now the length of your resonator is ideal and I bet having a vibrant ultra quiet resonator between a long tube and the muffler will make a world a difference. Not loosing any power because they are all straight thru.
Hey man if you want a deeper tone try just getting a straight pipe from the axle back because my 2005 civic is just axle back into a wicked flow muffler and it has a very deep tone
Nice video saved me from getting the exact same eBay exhaust. Sounds atrocious. Your custom set up sounds good, but this is a $400 beater I bought and idk if I wanna spend that money on something custom
I'll be honest go get the longest cherry bomb glass pack that's the size of your exhaust I think it's a 36 in . It will turn the buzz to base. Get rid of the resonator and see how the flow master sounds. I can't remember what I had on my 94 civic ex but was not the Honda buzz unfortunately someone stole it. That was like 8 yrs ago. 2-2.5 in pipe is max size on that engine as the volume of exhaust can't fill the pipe and begins to slow because it cools . The 2.5 pipe setup would be good for future plans as well as current performance
It sounds really nice. My EM1 has 2.25 inch piping and a Flowmaster flow FX. Sounds pretty nice.

where can i find more content on the EM2 project? and did you paint yourself?

Nice video bro 👌💯
I was wondering how does it sounds like, if I remove the muffler and CAT but leave the resonator on. This video is helpful thanks!
eBay cat backs are good for the piping. You need a twin loop muffler on it instead of the flow master.

I’ll be honest i really like the stock

hey where did you get that red honda emblem from i can’t fidn em anymore got my em2
eBay they don't have one specifically for the EM2 I got a set for an RSX
Use a hack saw to cut of the muffler
sounds amazing maan
Get evil energy exhaust it’s good n have a good tone

Tbh you should sell it your own sounds way better than straight pipe
Add 4 cylinders....😂
Sounds worse now
Didn’t sound that bad
Sounds terrible
