Hello where did u get your replacement part i tried to look anywhere cant find it 😕 tnx
perfect !!! just what I needed to see ! GREAT JOB !!
Thank you glad I could help
Great video! I have a 1999 civic and tried to remove the rear left pipe but the bolt at the tire side is so stuck that it started getting round and can't open it. How do you guys get a round bolt out in this case?
You mean the nut on the brake pipe that goes on the brake cylinder? If it's that one sometimes they get so rusted that they just freeze, you can try vise grips or heating it up a little and then try loosen it
@@dannysautorepair yes, that one, thanks will try it out!
The line stripped when i was replacing my cylinder, i was using a regular 10mm wrench. What should i use to not strip the new line i just ordered?
Use a flare nut wrench, they have them in auto zone for 8 dollars
HOW TF DID YOU GET IT DISCONNECTED FROM THE RUBBER LINE? mine is fing round and has no way to put any tool on it and i dont want to clamp vice grips on it making it harder to unscrew...
It should come out, take your time also add lubricant spray but be careful it doesn't strip
@@dannysautorepair I got it. It's had penetrating oil on it for 48 hours already. I used a huge pair of actual vice grips to grab hold of the largest part of the fitting and stacked 2 wrenches to make a cheater bar to break it free. Hit the fitting with a mini torch lighter for a few seconds first before I tried. The fact they have no wrench fitting is ridiculous... penetrating oil days in advance, vice grips on the hose fitting and 2 wrenches stacked on the metal line fitting. Good luck anyone else who tries... 15yo civic brakes.
Do they make these for newer models like the 2013?
I'm sure they do depending on your year make and model but it might be a different type.
@@dannysautorepair I was able to look up the part number you listed in another comment to get the oem part description and find it for my 2013! Just ordered thanks!
Where did you find those pipes for $5 each? OEM Honda pipes are $57 each.
Ebay
I looked on ebay and they are 75.00 each...guess you got lucky
I paid 50 for both recently
What do I do if when I replace the new line it is still leaking at the fitting?
Check if it's tight enough. Hopefully the threads aren't stripped
Is it the same part for both sides?
Not really sure but you can check on eBay or the Honda dealer.
What's the part #? I can't find this any where for $10
Try eBay, I bought mine there a few years ago
@@dannysautorepair they go for like $40 in ebay🤷😂
What year and model is your car ?
@@dannysautorepair 2002 civic ex
164757741200 check that one, the price is 32.00 dollars on ebay
Is there a way to get that rubber off the line?
You shouldn't remove it because it protects the line from corrosion but if you really want to I guess with a razor blade .
I’m doing the same job but the nut rounded off and I cross threaded the pipeline
I have a 1999 Honda lx 4 Manuel I need to ask what it’s really called and it’s on the driver rear side
Thats the brake pipe or brake line , I bought mine on ebay.
So no link?
I bought it off of eBay
Do you happen to know the Oem Part number for that line? I seen below in the comments you put the Ebay Part number for it but i think the Oem Honda part number is different. Would appreciate the help if you happen to know it cause i cant find it lol 🙏🏽
Check this one. 46331-S5A-N10
@@dannysautorepair Thanks bro i think this is the one 🙏🏽
Glad I could help.
@Alex Villalobos hello where did u buy the parts?
@@jordanthegoat2384 Nissan dealer was the only place they had these brake lines at. Had to a wait like 2 weeks to get them tho. 46331-S5A-000 is the for the rear driver side and 46361-S5A-000 is for the rear passenger side
Part number?
Hey can I ask if this is the hatchback shape like the executive type please?
No its not the hatch back , its a regular sedan 4 door
@@dannysautorepair thank you for replying. Do you think they are the same layout? Got corrosion as an MOT advisory on one i want to buy..what dyu think,
When I went to remove the line, it just flexed until it snapped. How do I remove the other one without repeating this mistake?
Spray some penetraiting oil before removing it and try opening it slowly while holding the line with your other hand, open and close slowly until it loosens up. Hope this helps
@@dannysautorepair thanks man!! It did
Glad I could help
what do I do if my shit is rotted away, same with the bleeder valve LMAO
Replace it. Lol
