I always laugh when I hear "close to UF and Shands". Sure it is, on paper. But my 7 mile trip from UF to my home off NW 39th Ave/NW 43rd street intersection took 45 minutes to travel in the afternoons.

Yep, Hazel Heights is a good location for a lot of people. We have friends there and they have enjoyed being so close to the elementary school and Hogtown Creek park.

Hey Donovan, when you say attached homes do you mean duplexes? I’m looking for something like that to share with my mom but have my own privacy for my family. Do you know if there are any properties around Gainesville that are this style? I’m still not ready to buy yet but I’m looking to do so in the next couple of years after I’m done with all my schooling. I’m applying to work at UF so I’m hoping in the future I could invest in something like that once I’m settled in. Great channel BTW! Thanks for all this great info!

Here is a duplex that came on the market yesterday to give you an idea. What about the new construction of townhouses at a new subdivision of blues creeks community. is this a good area to live?
Blues Creek is a nice area. You have multiple parks and trails near by. Have you had a chance to check out Devil's Millhopper? Depending on where you work and what you like to do some people have told me it's a little too far out but it's a nice area that is not overcrowded.

I was a delivery driver all over this city and a lot of these neighborhoods are just not places to be at all unless you like tweakers and vagrants in your yard trying to walk off with anything that isn’t bolted down

How is pine ridge county in Gainesville Florida near NW 26th street?

I'd say overall people and business are friendly towards all breeds. Some apartment complexes and landlords will not allow aggressive breeds though.

can you still get a decent home for $200k in the Gainesville area today?
Just did a quick search and it would be a challenge. At moment there are 4 single family homes in Gainesville with at least 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms under $200,000. There are 10 available options if you are looking at condos / townhomes.
