- This WLToys 124018 is a pretty cool truck. I would definitely go for this version since the 144001 is already a race buggy version. It performs well and probably could use some more off roady tires. Once the shocks are tuned it should be a performer.

It's a great truck just make sure you let it cool down between runs if your full throttle bashing. I converted mine to brushless and they make brushless ones now as well. It's a fun platform to modify.

I heard this is the one to get and just upgrade to brushless yourself. A lot of reviews say the brushless version has issues out the box.

The newer two are actually like five to six miles an hour faster than the 144001 I have a 144001 I think with your body on it too.

They are the same underneath just different shock and body layout. I prefer this style but use to love buggys back when I was younger.

What scale size is the servo? I'm gonna swap out electronics and if I have to guess this come stock with 5 wire servo and when I swap out the esc I will need a 3 wire servo and I don't know the size. I ordered this rc from Amazon and I'm waiting for it to get delivered so I just can't look at it and tell untill it gets here but I wanna go ahead and order servo so I don't have to wait as long
yes it comes with a 5 wire servo but it can be replaced with 14 scale size servo if your upgrading electronics. Definitely not a 10th scale servo.
im not a big fan of the receiver and esc combo bc i had a car like that earlier and i upgraded the esc but then i realised i need a new receiver ant transmitter
it really is a negative to these. wish they would just stop with the aio.
@@RunThatRC yes the all in one sucks because you need to buy a new remote and receiver (most time a set) and the 5 wire servo is also not a big deal

Thanks! The brushed version imo is good enough speed for proper bashing and general running around. The brushless can be overpowering its abilities sometimes and the brushless electronics you would probably want to replace anyways. I would get the brushed, run it and upgrade it to a better brushless system and transmitter/receiver.

not sure what cogging issues. It runs pretty good imo. Its a fun model.

yes it's a spare but it's a front wheel spare because the rear tires are a little wider.
They advertise 10 mins of run time with 3 hours of charging.... Is this something that will fit other aftermarket batteries with some longer life?
you can have more fun if you get a hobby grade charger and a couple 2200 or 2100mah 2s lipos. Faster charging more running.

It really gets the 60 km per hour?? Bought an other one, it should go 45 but only gets like 25..
mine only did 32mph which is about 51kph. 60kph is about 37mph

@@DaveBais they aren't bad at all. That's enough speed for a lot of fun. Also if your willing to risk 3s running it brings the speed to about 45 mph.

that really depends. I've had it take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. also depends who they ship through for that order and if you paid extra for expedited shipping.

How do you clean that
The best way is to take it apart and clean everything while it's apart. Also you can re grease and lube all the parts that need it to prevent wear.

How about the width?
The width is just like the 12th scale buggy. They just added a cage and made it look like a desert buggy. All thr parts from the buggy fit, only difference is the rear shock length and how they mount on the truck.

Broke really easy. Very brittle front end. 12429 is way tougher.
