Yo FlemLo, I am huge fan of your “What Happened” series. I wanted to know what happened to Steven Jackson (RB), and RGIII, if you could do one of them that would be dope.
Ever thought about doing a video on athletes from other sports trying to make it in the nfl?
No hate Flemlo but I personally prefer these kinds of interesting videos than simply going over a polarizing player's career (like Blount, R. White, CJ2K)
One of the best turnaround stories in NFL history.
I didn't expect to find you here, but I guess real recognize real.

As a fellow person with BPD I always had mad resepect for how much better Brandon Marshall got. We need more role models like him. There's so much stygma.
Most people have no idea what BPD is. "Borderline" gets interpreted as "borderline psychotic." I don't think this is going to change.
@Kano Case and point.
@@Broomsticks696 no disrespect but should he stand people with bpd

Mad respect for B-Marsh. What he's done with I Am Athlete (and the topics they tackle) is dope.

@@Lunit30 yeah i didn’t realize until after i saw the video more, my mistake
I was in middle school when he was on the Jets, and I was so sad when he left and said all the mean stuff about them. I didn’t realize at the time that he had BPD, and I went from wanting to be just like him to hating him to feeling bad that I hated him.
I just edited hates to hated and I lost the heart that sucks

R.i.p Darrent Williams. Man it seem like yesterday sometime 😔. One of the coolest and laid back dudes that ever came out of fort worth, texas. I was a freshman and he was a senior in high school. He use to have the crowd going crazy at times.
Can never look at Brandon Marshall the same. Rip D Will.
This video was a blessing, literally been going through emotional episodes myself and spoke to my family about it and finally feel comfortable to seek professional help.
They were so accepting and definitely overcome the stigma and to see this video and the change he made when he realizes that it's affecting him and his family just motivates me more to get the help and beat this ✊🏾
You got this 💯
Hope you come out on top, my man!!
Good shit man. Good on you for speaking to your family. And good on your family for being there for you. You have everything there for you to prosper. You got this.
Now that we're a year in, how are things going for you dude? Hopefully well. I'm glad more and more people are prioritizing their mental health these days and the stigma behind it is starting to lift
One of my favorite WR of all time. True character who showed personal development.
Me too!🤗🤗🤗🤗

@Tobiloba Oyetunji what?
His podcast I AM ATHLETE is so good
I love his story. What a comeback. I love when someone can humble themselves enough to use their own stories to help others and bring awareness to mental health, a topic that has been treated like a dark, dirty secret in the past. My family deals with mental health issues, specifically bipolar disorder, and his story shows you can still live a productive life and can overcome mental illnesses. Love this!
RIP Darrent Williams. I was heart broken when I heard the news. My favorite Bronco at the time.
Can never hate on personal growth 😊
Now he interrupts everyone on morning sports talk shows.
ain't that the point doe
Ya I love Brandon, Im a Bronco fan..but hes not great at that job. Especially talking basketball.
Lmaooo chillllll
Thats how that show is set up. Thats why I dont watch it. All they do is talk over each other, ugh
lets' see you up there and do better
The fact he never played in a single playoff game is very hard to believe. Brandon Marshall is a helluva talent frfr
Thank you for this, I was diagnosed 11 years ago and remember watching his football life episode on NFL Network when I was going through it. At the beginning of this year I was able to recover fully, have no more symptoms, pursuing a social work degree and work for NAMI. I'm unfortunately a bears fan but I was rooting for him when he played for us, and his story helped me in a way for my recovery.
You can't cure Borderline Personality Disorder. It's a life long mental illness that one just learns tools through therapy in order to manage. You speak about it like it's viral disease or something with "symptoms". That's odd....the "symptoms" are behaviors and thought patterns which don't get "cured". They get managed.

Brandin Marshall has my respect for even getting help. We have to stop living in denial about our traumas regardless of when or where it happened. Great video Flemlo
Excellent coverage on Brandon Marshall. He was a beast on the field, who had confronted his issues honestly and honorably. Much respect for Brandon Marshall

Marshall has been one of my favorite players for essentially my entire adulthood. Has never played for "my" team, but what he did for mental health awareness, the stands he'd take for it with his green shoes, etc, he really made sure he was heard, and unfortunately, nobody else has taken the mantel like he did since he left(I'm looking at you Josh Gordon, you need to take this torch). Haven't started the vid yet, but I'm excited for it. Always remember the #21!!
Wow …i remember hearing bits and pieces about Brandon throughout his early career and thinking 🤔 dude is gonna throw it all away bc he was “choosing” to be that way. Then when his diagnosis came out he blew my mind! He embraced it …publicly! Then went about educating himself about BPD and helping others. Taught me a huge lesson. Sometimes we dont know the private battles people are fighting within themselves. Be kind. Be patient. Be loving.
I have so much respect for you for this one G. I’ve seen your videos for over a year in passing but this one got me to subscribe. Love your attitude and understanding of how we all get dealt a different hand in life and how you must judge their actions accordingly. Well done my guy
Idk why but this dude is one of my fave players throughout the 2010s
Cus he is crazy athletic 👌🏾
I'm so glad you've done this story. He has been one of my favorite receivers for a long time now. When one of my friends got diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, I already knew about it because of Brandon Marshall (when he got diagnosed I researched about it) and that allowed me to help her a little bit.
He didn’t catch 21 in the pro bowl, he did it against the colts in 09. The pro bowl he went off in he had 6 receptions 176 yards and 4 touchdowns
The fact that he made it though all this is crazy as fuck man motivated shit man 👨

Marshall turned into a great human and a good ambassador of the NFL. Until DK came along I though B marsh was the closest thing to T.O that we've seen. Brandon was an absolute physical beast in his prime.
