I was a little skeptical when I got my JLU with 2.0 used with 60k miles. Especially since I had Pentastar previously which was pretty reliable for me and maintenance free. But now, after almost 2 years and 20k miles of owning a Jeep with 2.0, I can say I am very happy with it and glad I got 4 cyl for change
@@Jerryyy6802 honestly both the road and wind noise are minimal. What I have done, especially around the windshield, is to seal the egde around the glass with a rubber strip. This in my experience is 100 percent accurate. Whenever we drove for any distance, our backs would feel it. But you do feel bad ass driving the Wrangler.
My friend has had a Jeep wrangler unlimited sport as a daily driver for the past 3 years. She absolutely loves it, no issues, no repairs needed except for regular scheduled maintenance. She also drives a lot, take a lot of road trips. She said it’s very useful for when the weather is bad or she’s caught in snow. She said it handles the road well, it’s quiet (I can attest to this, it’s quieter than my 2014 Toyota Corolla).
All day every day I drive our 2024 4xe Willy’s I’ve driven it round trip from Portland Oregon to Dallas Texas area and still drives like day one it’s truly amazing vehicle
Before I got a wrangler, I drove to ambulance often for my job. So when I got my wrangler, it was similar driving experience but with better comforts than an ambulance, so I aint complaining. My wrangler driving experience is like a sports car compared to driving an ambulance.
I’ve owned a TJ and currently own a JK. Lots of folks daily drive their Jeeps, but they aren’t fuel efficient and they aren’t particularly comfortable riding vehicles. They’re designed to go off road, but most Jeep owners never take them off road. Jeeps are niche vehicles. The allure of a Jeep is their styling as well as their unique capabilities. But most of all they are just fun to drive. I had a Rubicon Unlimited for 5 years and 40,000 miles. Traded it in for a Grand Cherokee Altitude. Getting 26 mpg highway, full time 4WD with low range, more comfortable seating, quieter, better handling, better ride. I will never go back, since I rarely went off road. Love both vehicles, but Grand Cherokee is much better for on road driving. Best part about Wrangler is they really hold their value - have low depreciation.
I bought a 2019 jeep wrangler sport in 2021. I live in Puerto Rico, mountain side of it, and here’s my experience as a daily driver. ***Note my jeep is stock and not modded what so ever.**** 1. Pot holes, a big issue in PR are potholes and this car takes them like a charm, it easily drives over them with no problem and if I accidentally hit a big on, because there’s very little lighting on the roads at night, it will take it like a boss as well. I had a Jetta that had to replace 8 tires in one year, those things cant handle pot holes at all. 2. I have pushed the jeep up to 80miles an hr, handles great and very solid. Many people say that driving jeeps over 60 is a shore, but I have not had that problem and I think it has a lot to do with the fact my jeep is stock and that it’s the JL model, which I believe have better aerodynamics in order to save up on gas a bit. But yeah I have hit 80 and it feels good doing so. 5. Gas, well with 20 to 25 bucks I can drive up to 72 miles @ various speed, with up and down mountains, before I have to add more gas, I normally add fuel right before it hits empty zone. 6. Driving up and down the mountains is a cake walk and a very smooth, in fact I tend to be the faster one on the road and that’s without using 4x4, where I live there’s a lot of curves and steep roads. For the most part it takes curves like a champ, there are some curves that may be a bit hard but those type of curves you won’t find in the US so it’s all good. 7. Other than that the jeep is really easy to work on. Over all the jeep makes me feel very safe and makes me feel like if it can handle many things that could happen on the road.
I’ve had 3 of them, latest being a JL 4dr Rubicon. They are fine as a daily driver provided you are not looking for absolute road manners and comfort. They’re not built for that but are certainly more than adequate on roads. Where they really shine is shopping mall car parks. Big tyres, steel bumpers and rock sliders make it difficult to hurt them!
I have no complaints. If you are getting into a jeep and expecting it or even comparing it to a luxury car then you are looking at the wrong vehicle right off the back. If you are looking for something that is going to have amazing mpg. You are looking at the wrong vehicle unless you are ok with a hybrid electric you are looking at the wrong vehicle. If you want something that is fun gives you lots of options and more accessories then any other vehicle on the market enabling you to really customize it. And you can go any where. I love it and I don’t think I could buy anything else.
My third Wrangler and I have loved every one of them. Great daily drivers, got me where I wanted to go in any kind of weather and a real blast on the occasional off-roading.
Obviously they can be used as daily drivers… the problem is too many mall crawlers buy these vehicles expecting them to perform like a Mercedes Benz when in reality they perform like pickup trucks. They were designed for “off-roading” not bar hopping..
I am looking to trade a MB for a Jeep like the one in the video. The Benz has been nothing but problems from mechanical; to pieces literally falling off of the interior. Huge disappointment for an expensive vehicle. Never again!
As a former Jeep owner, I don't think it's a great daily driver. The steering wheel wandering, road noise and horrible MPGs make it less than ideal for everyday use. They are fun but driving a Jeep has to fit your lifestyle especially at the price they go for today. They are way too expensive.
Agreed in many ways but I always have a huge smile on my face when I drive. Granted I work from home so don’t have a daily commute and my wife has an Acura for normal driving. Amazing vehicle but better as a 2nd or 3rd car for sure. Also depends where you live. In Colorado, I get to take my jeep off-roading almost every weekend
@@scott4858 I wish I lived in an area where I could have used my Jeep off-road. Even though I have a two door Bronco, I still miss my 2019 Wrangler Rubicon.
You CAN daily drive a Jeep. We have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, and although we had to replace the entire engine after oil mixed with coolant. A few grand down the line, and it works like a dream. Only issue is the keyfob sometimes act up, which may result in you having to wait 10-15 minutes until the car detects the key. Not so great. Overall, it is quite the good car!
So we bought our first Jeep earlier this year it came with a 2 1/2 inch left and handle horribly did some research and got the dealership to change out the aluminum steering box to the steel steering box improve steering quite a bit we've than changed the steering stabilizer to a fox one and also added some lower adjustable control arms so that we can add some coaster to the front tires that was the ticket she drives like a dream now
Thanks for the advice! I own a 2014 and like the way it handles on the road. Was thinking of getting a JL, test drove it and literally couldn't drive it. The power steering felt so loose and wobbly, felt like I had no control.
All upgrades need to be quality stuff usually the more expensive unfortunately but if you spend the loot jeeps will handle well won’t be a sports car but will handle well if built and maintained which costs a lot to do in reality
Offroader? Front engine, rear wheel drive, great visibility from the cockpit. Tall sports car 😊 seriously jeeps are great for city driving because of visibility. Big golf cart.
WOW! 7th Jeep! Third Wrangler?! You must have some really disposable income! I'd give anything to be on my third Wrangler! I have a Jeep Compass Sport 4X4 and I love it!
My only complaint was the gas milage when my commute from home to work was basically 40-50mins coming and going due to bad traffic & far work commute. Otherwise I was comfortable daily for years. Thanks for the video!
I’ve got a 2021 Willys. Daily driver. Lifted with 35’s. I love it. It doesn’t wander. Great at highway speeds. I got no problem daily driving it. In fact it brings a big smile to my face when I walk out of work and get in it to drive home.
I just bought my first Jeep: a 2024 Wrangler Willys 4 Door stick. Very few vehicles are rated to go through 30" of water. And if you don't believe me, just read the inside of your Wrangler's tailgate!
It’s the best daily driver I’ve ever owned, so easy to run around town and country lanes, super easy to park and lots of fun to drive, I’ve got the 2020 rubicon with the one touch convertible roof(highly recommend this option)
We own 2 jeeps, a 2 doors sport 2023 and a 4XE 2024. The 2 doors sport works great for long range drives above 40km in highways, and the 4XE is juste perfect for a daily to work drive below 40km in cities with full electric.
I think Wrangers are fine for a daily driver. I used to own one and my only complaint was the gas mileage, which is a non-issue now if you get the 4xe hybrid version. However if you're looking for nice ride for the whole family, you'll probably be better off with a Grand Cherokee and the price on them is similar too.. and a GC will still do fine off road for what 99% of people driving off road will need it for, not everyone goes rock climbing in their jeep :)
I've got a 2022 Gladiator Rocky road overland trail rated build. It's not a terrible daily driver. Gas mileage stinks and it's underpowered for passing on the highway. I thought it would be unstoppable on ice and snow but in all honesty it's too light. I use my wench a lot to get me out of it. My F250 never had an issue, but for everything else the jeep is much better. I have no issues really. Looks cool, functions well, no real issues. It cost a fortune 83K after all said and done, so I think over all I expected a little more. It's definitely not a real truck... it's a jeep and after a year I finally get it. Got a pretty cool build now so I'm liking it more. Not for everyone for sure but still a good vehicle. No problems after a year. Edit. I heard the 392 package. Man, I think that would be a death trap on this frame and suspension.
I have a JK for my daily drive. Not the most economic car, but its very good. It has some mods but isn’t heavily modified. When I see people complaining about Jeeps, makes me wonder… Who buys a car without test it and talk with others that have one?
I don’t get the complaints ppl have with the handling. The handling literally didn’t bother me at all. Slightly more sensitive than other cars. Not bad at all.
The Rubicon trim of is the best vehicle on the market for off-roading because not only does it have solid axles in both the rear and front but it also includes all the essentials for off-roading from the factory which means it can go off-roading without any aftermarket modifications.
Asking this while standing in front of a JKU/JLU is funny as hell to a long-term SWB CJ owner. 😂 CJ7s/8s with full steel doors, front discs, power steering/brakes, OD trannies, tilt, cruise, AC, and highback recliners were LUXURY.
It really depends on your lifestyle, wants vs needs and your budget. A Wrangler is somewhat unique (along with the Bronco) as its a 4x4 and a convertible that you can also take the doors off and windshield down. So, if you want something that can tackle the off road, handle snow and mud and be a fun toy that is a convertible then the Wrangler (or Bronco) is a good choice. The Wrangler (and Bronco) 2-dr versions are way less practical, ride/drive worse than the 4-dr and cargo space in the 2-dr version is a joke. But, keep this in mind that the resale value on the Wrangler has proven to be way way above average…..so yes, these cost a lot to buy but hold value like crazy
Obviously, you were not very well informed about the wrangler. It is probably one of the best vehicles out there. As far as this drive ability goes it is outstanding they’ve done mass improvements spent millions of dollars on research and development to design a vehicle that is friendly on the highway and off road as a 2021 wrangler owner. Yes I will say, it needed some updates to make it more functional for my purposes. And yes, it occurs a little bit more money to do that however, current production vehicles come with many of those upgrades from the factory.
See, I’d love to get one but I get so many mixed messages about them; All of my friends who own one LOVE them. They don’t go off roading, they use it as a daily driver & they feel safe if they get stuck in bad weather. Every mechanic I have spoken to tells me to stay far away from them & just stick with Toyota/Honda/Mazda, etc.
It’s still not even as good a daily as a civic and I own and adore my wrangler. It’s def much improved and really isn’t bad, but its still basically a truck shaped like a brick lol
I drive my JL with a 3 inch lift and 35 inch tires. I will never go off road. With that being said, i only keep it because it looks so good. Other than that, it burns fuel very fast, it is not a comfortable drive, lacks alot of the technology modern cars have and wind noise seeps in through the roof and windows so its never a "silent" drive. Its fun to have, but i cant see myself buying another one.
I wanted an affordable 4 seater convertible. Just bought a 25 yr VW Cabrio in mint shape with 80k miles for 1/4 of the cheapest base Jeep. I think the mpg and steering would drive me crazy.
I put a 3" lift on my Jeep a few years ago...Bilstein shocks and Icon coil springs, unfortunately it drives like a giant cinder block, not a comfortable drive on the streets but great off-road.
Well, I didn't get a Jeep Wrangler mainly because of it's too-low towing capacity, but still wanted the Top Dog (restricted to the MID-size segment only) "serious/off-road-focused 4x4." Ended up with a 2021 (April) Jeep Gladiator (Rubicon)...and it's also my Daily Driver since it's my one-and-only vehicle (so it HAS to be!) Aside from off-roading (of course), it's been fine in town AND on long interstate road-trips. The MPG numbers aren't good in-town -- I knew that up front (doesn't everyone?) -- but on the hwy they're not at all bad for it being said "serious/off-road-focused 4x4" as they ALL are not great at gas mileage -- not just Jeeps. Especially if there's a headwind. ;-) The OTHER mid-size "serious 4x4" truck I was looking at back then was the 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2...according to the specs it got a tad WORSE MPG than the Gladiator. But the Gladiator is fine and I accept the trade-off MPG-wise over "normal" vehicles. BTW, no play in my Gladiator's steering and no need for an "special attention" driving it at speed on the hwy. Even when towing (but I keep it at 60 when towing for safety). Don't find it loud, either, even with the 33" factory/OEM Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws. If it IS noisy, I guess I don't notice it. And the gas V6 Pentastar has PLENTY of power, at least for me...have ZERO interest in anything V8 or even turbo...or those 2 useless "look at me" Vanity Vehicles: Jeep Wrangler 392 or Ford Bronco Raptor. Slow & Steady is fine with me. I'm in no hurry to get anywhere anyway, when on or even off-road (so the "Desert/Baja-Runner" Gladiator Mojave would be useless to me). I just enjoy the drive...which I do, even if I have no good reason at all to take the Gladiator out it's ALWAYS fun driving it. ;-) "Jeep Wave" -- BR
I have a Wrangler and almost never put my foot down to the extent that I'm using all the power. I don't see the need for more. It's not a safe vehicle to drive fast anyway. The V8 does sound amazing...
Hopefully once the 2029 refresh comes in we'll have some IFS options.. That's what 90% of Jeep owners do anyways, regular roads but we love the look so IFS would be awesome.
The Jeep Wrangler is the Mx5 for SUVs. If you want a fun, spacious, reliable, not too expensive, comfortable and daily relaxed driving SUV, look no further.
Most all the cons that would be hurled at this vehicle would come from those who know very little about the fact that this is a "JEEP" and I like mine. Ya hear me?
I currently have a 24 rubicon as a rental, Definitely a chunky ride i like how the bugs smash on the flat windshield. Drawback 17 mpg, and the enormous key which i have accidentally activated the emergency alarm Twice. That is highly irritating. Super capable off road
i never understand why people say the cabin is loud lol or the handling is bad....lol i dont think anyone drives QUIET nowadays. its either music or radio on all the time. lol unless youre crazy. most handling problem is driver issue not car. lol
☝️😑,,This makes as much sense as buying a used Honda Accord to go off road driving. In theory you could do it, but not very well. You buy the vehicle for the job,, in this case your paying for features you will never use...

I just bought my first Jeep: a 2024 Wrangler Willys 4 Door stick. Very few vehicles are rated to go through 30" of water. And if you don't believe me, just read the inside of your Wrangler's tailgate!
Yes I drive mine jku daily. Idk why people said Jeep has bad mpg while mine average of 17-20 mpg!
It’s the best daily driver I’ve ever owned, so easy to run around town and country lanes, super easy to park and lots of fun to drive, I’ve got the 2020 rubicon with the one touch convertible roof(highly recommend this option)
I have a 2023 sport no bells and whistles w/ soft top and love it. Keep up on maintenance and i have no issues.
We own 2 jeeps, a 2 doors sport 2023 and a 4XE 2024. The 2 doors sport works great for long range drives above 40km in highways, and the 4XE is juste perfect for a daily to work drive below 40km in cities with full electric.
I love driving my 93 YJ, 5 inch lift 33 in tires, mastercraft seats, tons of extras. Its an adventure every time I climb in.
Same.
It depends on if you have an automatic or manual transmission
The Rubicon trim of is the best vehicle on the market for off-roading because not only does it have solid axles in both the rear and front but it also includes all the essentials for off-roading from the factory which means it can go off-roading without any aftermarket modifications.
Asking this while standing in front of a JKU/JLU is funny as hell to a long-term SWB CJ owner.
😂
CJ7s/8s with full steel doors, front discs, power steering/brakes, OD trannies, tilt, cruise, AC, and highback recliners were LUXURY.
I drive my commander 3.0 crd on a daily base. Occasionally offroad. And 7 seats.
True…..and all of that technology is expensive……and most Jeep owners never use all of that technology that they paid a lot of money for.,
It’s still not even as good a daily as a civic and I own and adore my wrangler. It’s def much improved and really isn’t bad, but its still basically a truck shaped like a brick lol
16.9-18.9 is what my Grand Cherokee gets with 3.6
I drive my JL with a 3 inch lift and 35 inch tires.
Been daily driving a soft top TJ since I bought it in ‘98
I wanted an affordable 4 seater convertible.
Well, I didn't get a Jeep Wrangler mainly because of it's too-low towing capacity, but still wanted the Top Dog (restricted to the MID-size segment only) "serious/off-road-focused 4x4." Ended up with a 2021 (April) Jeep Gladiator (Rubicon)...and it's also my Daily Driver since it's my one-and-only vehicle (so it HAS to be!)
Aside from off-roading (of course), it's been fine in town AND on long interstate road-trips. The MPG numbers aren't good in-town -- I knew that up front (doesn't everyone?) -- but on the hwy they're not at all bad for it being said "serious/off-road-focused 4x4" as they ALL are not great at gas mileage -- not just Jeeps. Especially if there's a headwind. ;-)
The OTHER mid-size "serious 4x4" truck I was looking at back then was the 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2...according to the specs it got a tad WORSE MPG than the Gladiator.
I just enjoy the drive...which I do, even if I have no good reason at all to take the Gladiator out it's ALWAYS fun driving it. ;-)

I have a Wrangler and almost never put my foot down to the extent that I'm using all the power. I don't see the need for more. It's not a safe vehicle to drive fast anyway. The V8 does sound amazing...
Nissan frontier or Jeep wrangler?
Yes, 70-year-old jeepester. 2021 Mojave Gladiator with 30000 miles. Love it.
Looking at a 2015 Willys. I normally ride my motorcycle when the weather is above 40, but I plan on using the JK mostly for camping and off roading.
Most all the cons that would be hurled at this vehicle would come from those who know very little about the fact that this is a "JEEP" and I like mine. Ya hear me?
The dealers or yourself can adjust steering to be tighter and more precise about 15 min fix no biggie !!!
I have a JTR with a manual and I daily it. Huge amounts of fun and wouldn’t trade it for anything. But these vehicles are not for everyone.
I currently have a 24 rubicon as a rental, Definitely a chunky ride i like how the bugs smash on the flat windshield. Drawback 17 mpg, and the enormous key which i have accidentally activated the emergency alarm Twice. That is highly irritating. Super capable off road
Oh in hot weather the pop off fiberglass panels act like a radiator for your brain
They make some adapters that allow the seat adjustment to be more like a car (if that's what you like)
Mi pregunta es si vivo en un lugar donde hace mucho frío y neva el Jeep se mantendrá caliente por dentro
What's the year of manufacture for this particular jeep model?
I climb over curbs and up parking lot landscaping
On the fence about it for daily use. As I can tell from your video, down here in Texas all highways are concrete and are SUPER loud. Yikes.
My 2016 JKU is a great daily driver, especially when it snows 🌨 😀
Of course you can use a Wrangler as a daily driver. I have had 3 so far. 2012, 2016, and 2020.
Does it have side airbag ?
I love my 2024 Jeep wrangler sport!❤✌️
Most people have no choice but to daily drive a jeep. They are already maxed out on their credit and cant afford even a junk car for errands lol
What’s your tire setup
What size tires and rims /lift is this o just got same one
The car is not designed to make turns at high speed fast like that.
Hey guys I’m stuck in between of A FRONTIER NISSAN TRUCK & JEEP WRANGLER any help GUYS?
I love my Nissan frontier ! I'm wanting a wrangler as 2nd vehicle
i never understand why people say the cabin is loud lol or the handling is bad....lol i dont think anyone drives QUIET nowadays. its either music or radio on all the time. lol unless youre crazy. most handling problem is driver issue not car. lol
That’s not what curbing means. They mean hitting curbs parallel to the wheel and scraping it. Either way, no problem in a Jeep :)
Hey but you get to do the Jeep wave 👋
If it can handle a mean winter, I am fine with it.
Just bought 2019 rubicon for every day drive! 😬😅
Yes, you can daily drive them. I have and will again.
Do you have a rattle snake under the passenger seat? 😮
just bought my old jk but mines boobie bounce rated and freedom rated but it's still a damn chrysler
How tall are you?
☝️😑,,This makes as much sense as buying a used Honda Accord to go off road driving. In theory you could do it, but not very well. You buy the vehicle for the job,, in this case your paying for features you will never use...
$40K for that very basic empty 2021 Sport? What?
Nice colour
Evasive action= roll out of the way.
Bro get away from that rattle snake
Wow. Who knew you could daily drive a wrangler?😂
You could drive it everyday but you'll have to go to the shop every day to have repairs done great car to drive back and forth to the dealer with
Bout to turn 200000 on mine
Jeeps are notorious for their reliability issues and high maintenance costs, so I would not make this my daily driver
The title to this video made me lose brain cells.
Idk something about a unibody drives better to me .
I mean i daily drive a Grand Wagoneer and a 98 GranD Cherokee.. why cant you daily drive a stupid wrangler ?
4078 Metz Squares
I feel like he is just dissing on jeep and I don’t think that’s good because jeeps are awesome. You should not be allowed to do this to jeep everything you said was negative
Two door I SEXIER than a PORSCHE 911 TURBO and the four door is a LIMO, BOTh OUTSTANDING on ANY pavement and can handle the mall shopping for holidays!
Jeep Wrangler so tough it cracks the windshield.
I drive my everyday
E that's some thick glasses
Я подрачу на эти формы 😗🫢☺️. И машина и игрушка
