Seriously, all of these SUV driving losers have driven up the price and turned it into a luxury vehicle. I grew up driving a Wrangler and loved how cheap and practical it was.
Jeeps are sitting on lots. Excess complexity and excess MSRP have made the Wrangler less desirable than it had been when it was simpler, more durable, easier to "build", and far less expensive.
At 69 I’ve been waiting all my life for such a jeep to come on the market. with the economic situation only getting worse and the price for a 392 approaching $100,000 or more you can bet this old boy will never own such a Jeep. Ever.
Ask Ford how twin turbos went. For Ford it wasn’t twice the power, it was twice the issues. Which is why that engine lived for only a few years. Also these things are already expensive and everything you just described says that these will be another $5 - $10 more next year! When does it stop.
I have a 2018 JLU SPORT 3.6 AUTOMATIC with 83,000mls. Got it brand new back in 2018. Couple more months and it's finally paid off. Right at 70,000 mls with no warning i heard the big fan on ,sure enough 248 °. Well, the heads warped and it had to be tore apart and fixed by the dealer cost me $5,200, it was already out of warranty. Between 70,000 and 80, 000mls I have had three coolant leaks ( two still leaking ) ,a rear main seal leak (still leaking ) ,the rear axle leaks, I had to replace the green CANBUS block behind the glove box because my jeep was freaking out windshield wipers coming on , shifter was locked and all the lights were like Christmas lights on my dash and I haven't had a rear defrost since 6 months after I bought it. Coolant leaks : reservoir replaced, now the thermostat ( replaced once already) and hose behind the radiator. I've had puddles of coolant and all over the front axle now for two or three months or more. Finally saved up enough money to get those fixed, but it's been 2 weeks since the dealer ordered the parts. When (if) all that finally gets fixed it'll be about $10,000 in repairs since I got it.
I just leased a Sahara 4xe, in tuscadero no less, and none of the six improvements mentioned in this video would make me want to wait for a 25 model. No blue Buick or Cadillac for this 81 year old Wrangler lover. Only old people drive Buicks and Cadillacs! Wrangler's where it's at!
I guarantee I'll be fixing corrosion on 2 year old wranglers. Doors, hood, windshield frame, tailgate, and fenders. Stainless bolts and primer would stop all the issues but instead, let's charge $50k and leave bare aluminum everywhere.
I couldn't agree with you more . I am not impressed with thee corrosion , or durability . Wife needs to replace her jeep soon . She wants another one . I just cringe at the idea
@@UnwindingRoads On 37's I can get upwards of 16mpg but drive it like I stole it I still get 11 to 14. That puts me at 250 or more per tank. A supercharger actually makes it more efficient. Did they fix the seating issue? They "squished" the cab on the JL model compared to the JK models and I found my head sticking up into the roll cage. They really need to figure out how to change that. I am excited by the potential of the new engine, but the big issue with the Wrangler is its HEAVY. This is overall awesome, but if you are doing a lot of city driving, you end up burning gas to accelerate to speed, then slowing down for traffic/speed bumps/traffic circles, the accelerating again. This is REALLY tough on mileage and is why I think the hybrid has a ton of potential for the Wrangler. I am a bit worried about how it will hold-up when offroading. Hopefully the experience they got with the current 4xe Wrangler has let them learn and resolve any issue there. I really don't get the whole "Jeeps aren't fun to ride on the road" thing. My 2014 4 door JK Rubicon drives super comfortable and the JL models are supposed to be a lot more comfortable than that. So what the heck are these guys expecting, something like a 19070's Buick Electra (where it felt like you were riding on a couch?)
Assuming this is all true, I'm SO glad I custom ordered my 2 door V6 manual Rubicon this year rather than waiting until next year. The Pentastar has a flat torque curve, no turbo lag, and can make it well past 200k miles if you take care of it. I doubt these new turbo engines will go that far without major issues. I'd hate to be stuck with that complicated 4 banger that sounds like an angry bumblebee. I'll probably never buy a new vehicle again with the direction the auto industry is going
just make sure you 3M the bump out on your door hinges. most shops will do it custom if you ask, otherwise it'll start to rust from the first rock chip.
I can’t afford a wrangler yet but I want a 6 cylinder manual if I get stuck with a turbo 4 on top of manual not being standard I’m probably not gonna buy one unless it’s a used 2024
Always worry when tons of copper wire get added to a vehicle. More Computerization. More stuff to suddenly malfunction, especially when you might be miles away from Jeep dealership. I understand, the future is here. But use caution. READ powertrain WARRANTY. Mods, upgrades, etc etc.😮
Those sounded really cool, but there are soooooo many complaints about them online. I took a look and it seems like a lot of the issues stem from the EGR system causing the intake to plug up??? I also saw somehting about the issue being blamed on a lot of city driving and not enough long/highway runs???
Yeah that twin turbo will do really well in hot places like AZ and FL. I am sure it will not suffer from heat-soak and the intercooler will be able to handle all that stop and go and slow speed crawl so the engine will always get the correct temperature intake charge - said no one ever.

Max cost for a Jeep is 50K USD. Go any higher than that and you can kiss this company good bye. Some will buy yes but they could be killing the Bronco at a better price point.
I love wranglers but they’re so loud inside. Stellantis stated they’re bringing back the 6.4L due to dismal EV sales and financial losses. If the hurricane engine makes its way into the wrangler, that would be amazing! A twin turbo straight 6 is reliable and torquey! Feels like a small V8. I would consider the hurricane. The V6 wasn’t reliable. The ‘25 is gonna be cool! 😎

The current V6, is a proven reliable engine why change? EV, who wants a vehicle that may go 24-44 miles in good weather. It’s a Jeep, I’m going to be driving it at -40C to +40C, why do these companies keep beating the dead horse? Besides it’s been proven that the Jeep 4xe blow up really good. Video out of England. Wow different coloured interior panels, snooze! Oh and twin turbos, this ain’t no Porsche, more to go wrong on the vehicle. The used market is looking better and better.
It's apparent that you have never owned a jeep, also it sounds like you work for stellantis . No one that i know that owns a jeep wants that new engine, also jeep had been saying that the 392 was going into the gladiator. But that turned out to be a bunch of (( B.S. )).........
Really?, looks like any other Jeep. Just what we really need. A All purpose, 4 wheel drive, off road, gas guzzling turbo powered vehicle to get into the Wal-Mart parking lot.
The 2025 model will not have the hurricane engine because the length is 5 inches too long therefore it will not fit in the engine bay. Thanks for the wrong information, bud.
No thanks, you can keep your hybrids and ev’s. They’re excessively heavy and I guarantee they’re going to strand off-roaders with computer and/or electronic failures.

Its a renegade on steroids 😂 I’ll keep my JK
2 turbos = problems
WRONG! The V-8 will be continued for 2025. The “Final” Final Edition continues!
Hopefully this one won't rust after 10 months 🙄
Drop the price or go out of business
But that turned out to be a bunch of (( B.S. )).........
My brother REALLY wanted one, but when it became obvious it wasn't going to happen, he bought a RAM with a hemi instead.
Really?, looks like any other Jeep. Just what we really need. A All purpose, 4 wheel drive, off road, gas guzzling turbo powered vehicle to get into the Wal-Mart parking lot.
They need to fix all of the dumb electrical issues!!!!
Not overly impressed with any of these models, or pricing.
The 2025 model will not have the hurricane engine because the length is 5 inches too long therefore it will not fit in the engine bay. Thanks for the wrong information, bud.
none of this is true for the 2025 wrangler...lol maybe he meant for the 2026 coming in 2025 later.
No thanks, you can keep your hybrids and ev’s. They’re excessively heavy and I guarantee they’re going to strand off-roaders with computer and/or electronic failures.
