    Nice vid. I had to remove 2 screws on the cover. Finally got what looks like the original filter out!

      Thanks I appreciate it 👍 Yh if it’s original it will have screws but most the time people don’t put them back in lol 😂

    Thx the video, is hard to pull it out and really hard to plug the new filter in. Terrible experiences, get hurt to my hand when pull it out, still trying plug the new one in!

      Yes, I agree. It is very very fiddly but once you’ve done a few you get the knack of it. I hope you get it in okay let me know how you get on.

    I've replaced polen filter many times on my megane but I can't imagine doing it without removing the clutch pedal as even then it is tight squize to get it in. Don't really understand why renault didn't changed the sides for UK model.

      Hey 👋 yes they are one of the most fiddly ones to change I am also confused as to why they didn’t change the side the access was! 🤯

    Thanks for making this video. How difficult is it removing the clutch pedal? Does it need to be disconnected from the hydraulics? Haven't had a go at it yet. Is it possible to get in there with a hoover attachment?

      @MrAutoFixer  Рік тому

      Hi, it’s only 3 nuts holding the pedal on and one pin holding it onto the master cylinder arm, once you have a look you will see it clearly, let me know how you get on 👍

      @MrAutoFixer Had to take the clutch pedal out and that wasn't easy with inaccessible nuts holding it on.

      I got the filter out was original from 2010 ,yet to fit new one in, I tried removing clutch pedal like I done on another some years ago, but this one I undone 3 bolts and the pedal bracket wouldn't drop ahhh

      @luckysmiler There was four on mine. One wasn't very obvious to find.

    Nice video and thanks for sharing it. How difficult is to replace the filter without removing clutch? I’m in Australia, and unfortunately the filter is on driver side.

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  6 місяців тому +1

      Hey 👋 it’s a bit tricky but it can be done you just have to manipulate the filter into the hole but I’m sure with a few swear words and so scratches up ya arm you will get it done lol 😂

      @@MrAutoFixer i'm concerned that once you squeeze the filter and bend it to get it to fit, it won't go back into shape and create the required seal to filter all the incoming air.
      any thoughts on this?

  • @konukonu6368

    Don't think it's ever been changed.😮
    Is this the same process for a UK Renault grand scenic MK3 ❓

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  7 місяців тому +1

      Hey 👋 propper nasty some of them ! And I think it’s the same for ur one, let me know how you get on 👍

    • @mrlister2000
      @mrlister2000 6 місяців тому +1

      It is the same for the Grand Scenic, as my mechanic is about to replace the one on my 2012 model. We're guessing it has never been replaced as Renault technicians do not replace this when the cars go to the dealerships for a service.

  • @Bartustatus

    It is impossible to insert a new filter without deforming it. After all, it doesn't make sense, because after replacing the filter, it doesn't cover the entire surface.

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  Рік тому +2

      The filter slots into a shaped area inside the heater box, and if your finding it hard to fit the filter in then the official process involves removing the clutch pedal to gain better access.

      @@MrAutoFixer Yes, I finally pulled out the clutch pedal and was able to replace this filter, but replacing this filter shouldn't be so stingy 😵‍💫

    • @MrAutoFixer
      @MrAutoFixer  Рік тому +1

      @Bartustatus yes I agree it’s a right faff to change if you haven’t done many then defo take the pedal out just mind the clutch switch as they are fragile! I only have the nak of doing them as I worked for Renault for a few years and done many per day! Hope it’s gone well for you 👌
