2:22 Try making this moment. If your car is used, it is probable that someone else has taken the "hard" screw off, thus, it will be quite easy for you to change the cabin air filter without taking the glovebox out. In my case, it worked just fine! Cheers.
Hi @Victor Grasscourt, for sure, Renault engineers were drunk when they designed this cabin filter... Why make it simple when you can make it horrible to change?
If you think this is bad, on UK right hand drive models you have to remove the clutch pedal to get limited access while it's hanging on it's pneumatic tubes.
I also did without removing glove compartment, only thing is, it's very tight space and you might get a bit of a headache laying upside down under it.. But it's doable and saves time.. I was done in less than 10 minutes, because it was the first time I changed it myself. Next time under 5 minutes, for sure.
Right these videos are for left hand drive, I'm in the UK so got a RHD model, I've taken out my glove box and plastic panels but can not find where the filter panel l is located?? , would it still be by the glove box on my RHD model? , thanks

Great video, everything is explained just right !!! Thanks
Sorry, but you can do this without removing all this... Next week i will make a video. Only 5 min. for whole operation.
Will you make that video?
@@magija7227 ua-cam.com/video/7MNAJ1HqAug/v-deo.html not my video but the same process.
You didn't make it
Yes, if someone else has taken the "hard" screw off, without putting it again - like many Renault mechanics did.
@@magija7227 just watch after 2:22, and try for yourself on your vehicle.
If you are able to do it, you will be on the green!
I still cant find my cabin filter
Incorrect that's why right hand drive it's drivers side impossible to get to
What a nightmare job. Why have Renault not given this any thought. These cabin filters will never be changed during services
Atleast it has calm music to make you feel better. As you know you'll be shouting and swearing doing it!

@@UseTool_EN So people will pay a service tech, instead of doing it themselves.... :(

@@blackcountryme well it's bad for service quality as well to introduce unnecessary work
Seriously, you can just skip to the last two steps without removing the whole glove compartment, just did it in my car.

@@bertrandvanleeuwen few curse words as it's a narrow space, but it's doable without removing anything

@@cookski27 have you found it yet
@@seafoodpizza yeah but still havnt got around to fitting it yet as the RHD you have to take the clutch pedel out to get to it
The filter was inserted wrong way
no, the flappy thing needs to be pointed up, so its correct
Dont even bother on right hand drive models. Absolute pain. No access at all. Its on drivers side
Complecaychen megane
