Having been a motorcyclist for 40 years, I am appauled at the attitude of most of these riders. They are just reckless morons! Too fast, too close and too aggressive while hurtling into obviously dangerous situations while ignoring all the rules for defensive riding. They seem to think that just because they are “in the right”, as it was the other road user that made the error, makes them invulnerable to death or serious injury. I am sure that wearing a camera also encourages the taunting of other road users when they make a mistake as it makes for good footage. Read the road, read the other road users and don’t ride like a twat through intersections (crossroads) assuming that you will be seen. The worst riders IMO are those who enter corners too fast and end up coming off, and only due to pure luck, avoid hitting a stationary object such as a road sign or telephone pole which would mostly always be fatal; they are clearly incapable of riding a motorcycle and should stick to walking.

Anticipate. That's a big difference between a new rider and a seasoned, experience rider. Us long-timers could anticipate most of these incursions before they happen.
It amazes me how some bikers think it's okay for them to drive like lunatics, yet when another driver makes a small error, all hell breaks loose.
Because a small error in a car kills motorcyclists. Be smarter.
Small errors ? Some of those encaged criminals should be charged for murdering attempt.

We should all be more responsible on the road but the idiots speeding and being reckless on a bike are more likely to hurt themselves where as people in cars and trucks pose much more danger to people outside the vehicle.

Asshatts on bikes are more than likely to kill themselvs.

The white car obviously wants to overtake the truck. The motorbiker knows that, acts like overtaking the white car, then stick to the blind spot and waiting for the woman to finally come out. That guy is just hunting footage. A normal person would let her out or overtake.

9:48 This guy is great: the rider who was hit is obviously young and probably doesn't know what to do after a crash and the witness is calmly helping him out, giving his details to help assist and has obviously been taking care of this lad. Top bloke.

That does seem to be many rider's motto.
At 0:17 you see that Lady Marmalade is crossing solid lines and crossed area. That's not a "misunderstand", it's a very bad mistake. And at 01:21 he was really asking for trouble, basically blocking that white car from changing lanes. Of course he wants to come over, do you think he wants to get stuck behind that truck forever?
I think both of them were in the wrong turn lane. if Lady Mamalade wanted to go right she should have been in the right of the 2 left turn lanes. The Red Harley had the opposite problem. And as we all know, Harley riders are only bad at two things: turning and stopping.

Yes, when you're really asleep and don't look ahead. Whitestaged, as DDFM would say.
And even if they didnt see it in time they could have easily saw that there was no one at the only other spot someone could have been they could have ran the stop and saved them the fall.
true, does not make sense to have a stop sign there, however the biker in front should have not stopped like that... could have just slow down and keep on driving as the road was clear. it is very unsafe to stop right after a corner. can get killed by a car from behind way too easy there.

@@destickert1307 If one cannot stop for a stop sign, or for another motorist who is simply obeying the rules of the road, then they no business piloting a vehicle on the road.

2:35 The speed limit board he passes shows 40. Watch the speedo, he gets up to 82 just before the corner. Plus, there are warning boards warning drivers/riders about the sharp corner.

7:06 well that was kinda the motorcyclist fault. Why didn't he or she slow down when the first car that crossed the street was visible. It's like the motorcyclist wasn't expecting their to be 2 vehicles crossing. Plenty of room to the right to avoid hitting that vehicle. I guess some people just plain like pain. Or something.
Or people can start realising that just because it was clear for the vehicle in front to go, does NOT mean it's clear for THEM.

It's a slow speed country road. Plenty of time to stop. The motorcycle ahead did so with ease.

if u watched the full video, i was not fully rested and had witnessed an accident the night before. definitely was not mentally prepared to ride. i did not see the stop at the blind turn and did a panic brake. it was a mistake.
Ladies shouldn't ride at all cus they are so sentimental and easily upset. Not safe even with cars.
Also can't ride and are bad at analyzing their own lack of skill.

🤣 Man, bikers are wimps today. If you climb onto an inherently dangerous machine and expect the world to protect you, it's not going to happen. Vehicles are going to pull out, change lanes, and similar in front of you. It's normal. It's expected. Learn to deal with it. Your motorcycle can handle it. You're the failure. Every incident in this video was easily avoidable. I rode for over three decades without a single accident. Avoiding common obstacles was a skill, a sport, to be proud of. Whining is for wimps, for unskilled babies.

I think its best for motorcycle riders to assume that all the other vehicles on the road are trying to kill you.
1:30 - when do people (both the rider and the driver!) learn that there is a blind angle, were other vehicles are not visible in the rear mirror? That's most times exactly when you are just at the height of the rear bumper. Either keep more distance, or get further to the front of the car!

well... i guess i wasnt thinking lol. This was back when i first started riding street. I was rolling around 90mph, went for the front lever and no brake. I panicked and target fixated. Ive improved a little since lmao

I wonder if she understands why she crashed. In the original video, her post-crash analysis was all about her emotional state and the fact that she wasn't paying enough attention at the time. That's all important stuff, but what about braking technique? She doesn't say anything about that. The bike just "started swerving". Maybe stomping on the rear brake was a factor in the crash?
@@dgphi muscle memory should take over, so obviously she does not have the ability to safely control her bike durning "panic" situations.
@@dgphi I agree that the rider likely hammered the rear brake. We see that often in these videos because braking hard is a difficult maneuver for a rider who faces a frightening situation.
Really, the only way to have a chance of getting it right when it counts is (a) by repeated practice, or (b) ABS.
If we don't regularly practice, and don't have ABS, then what happened to this rider will likely happen to us as well.
It's a Harely, the front brake is just legal compliance it doesn't actually do anything.
On that geometry the rear brakes gives the most stopping power, but learning to let off when it starts to slide is good to practice if you don't have ABS. But mostly just practice to relax your arms. Common problems for female riders is lacking reach and therefor holding on to the bars in a pulling force.

0:45 I have a ton of sand box trucks in my area and not one of them knows how to drive. I was in a turn lane waiting to pull into work, and one of them starts passing a car IN THE TURN LANE. I was in a work truck (a Chevy Colorado, so barely a truck lol) and I braced for this semi to hit me head on. He got over at the last second and when I put my finger out the window, I almost hit his mirror. He was that close. They run red lights and are often over filled, so there’s sand everywhere on the road. I’ve almost gone down a few times because of it.

Clearly she knew that she was in a spot where she shouldn't be. That's why the rev-bomb and the gestures were pointless because they didn't tell her anything she didn't already know.
Our job is to move to the safest location as soon as possible, and not be distracted by things like voicing anger.

As motorcyclists we know cage drivers are sketchy but we expect more of our fellow riders so we critique them harder.

Who is right and who is wrong doesn't matter and won't matter if you crash and end up dead. Cars do dumb shit, if a person can't ride accordingly, they have no business being on a bike.

There are two types of bikers 1 Cruisers, 7/10 are at fault due to their Entitlements or too stupid to be on a motorized vich. 2. A sport bike (aka Spook Bike) 9/10 are to stupid to be on anythig motorized.

Watching these vids reminds me how useless and stupid it is when we raise a hand in frustration at the offending cager as though it does anything but make us look stupid. Do you think ANY driver is looking at a motorcyclist, flailing and arm, and thinking, "Gee, I must have done something wrong." Spoiler alert--they don't even seen you most of the time, before AND after the offense.
