This was absolutely excellent. I can now send this out to my clients.
Thank you for watching and definitely feel free to share to share!
Thank You so much. I did not know that I needed this until recently and about to travel. You explained this so well. I know that you have saved me the head aches that would have started off my much looked forward o vacation poorly, and I have no doubt that a multitude of people who watch you will feel the same!

Very informative content
Thank you ;) #visitjamaica
This was very helpful has to I had pen & paper the whole video....my trip isn't until 2/1/2022 wanted to make sure things are a little normal by then I will be in Portland for 14 days 2/15/2022....this is a beautiful island can't wait to get there like you I am taking my Drone GoPro & Movie camera for my vlog & memories. I'm sure this will not be my last trip
Thank you for watching I’m glad the content was helpful ! I do have a video in Portland as well check it out ! Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲
Great video!! Thanks a million for the info! The form tho is long and complex, it doesn't allow you to make corrections, the changes have to be made in Jamaica, and it doesn't get fixed immediately. Make sure to utilize the longest time frame you get to complete the form just in case you run into these issues.
Thank you for watching, and for your kind comment. Covid has certainly made traveling a difficult process and countries are doing their best to place procedures to keep residents and visitors as safe as possible. You are correct in making changes sometimes takes time so I advise people to do the form as early as possible in your 7 day period prior to arrival to allow time should an issue occur. One Love 🇯🇲
Thank you very very much this is a great help for me. Blessings 🙏🏾💕

I am so glad you walk through the authorization form. I am booked to go CSA in 14 days. I have scheduled my Covid-19 testing already, RT-PCR and also an Antigen ( because I don't know which results I will get back first). When you did your testing did the location provide the CLIA number also on your result?
Thank you for watching ! The test result I had did show the CLIA, however I have heard of some that did not but they were CLIA certified and on the list of Certified labs and it was not a problem . Enjoy CSA and check out that video if you havn’t ! 🇯🇲
Can you make an update to the authorization? I added middle name on passport in first name section as it says they must be the same and middle name was not listing
Thank you for pointing that out ! I will definitely check into that and add a comment in the description. Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!!!!!!
Thank you so much for the video it was very helpful. I wanted to know how far in advance do I complete the authorization form. Thank you
You are welcome ! The Authorization form
Must be completed within 7 days and the Covid test within 3 days. Enjoy Jamalca !🇯🇲
Thank you.
You’re welcome !
Hi, I really love your video coz it's well detailed...
Have a question though, does this apply to someone from Kenya who wants to visit Jamaica too?
Please reply
The authorization form is no longer required for travel to Jamaica .
Thanks for the information. Question: the part of application where asked abt what you are bringing What about you prescription drugs? Where it asked abt pharmaceuticals do you mark yes? Is that a problem?
Omg glad I found your page 😩😩 how long before your trip should u do the authorization??
Thank you for watching ! The Travel Authorization needs to be filled out within 7 days of travel . Please subscribe and ring the bell so you don’t miss any updates .
Wow this video helped me out with what I needed to know…just 1 question I’m bringing 1 suitcase and I’ll have 1 carry-on so do I put down 2 pieces of luggage in the question ?
Thank you for watching , I’m so glad we were able to help ! Yes put down 2 and Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!
Great video!! So do you have to present travel authorization form and negative covid testing pre-departure and after arrival in jamaica?
You will need to show it at check in at the airport and possibly upon arrival . Thank you for watching Caribbean Wayz and Enjoy Jamaica !!
One question : can I do my application before taking the test ? Is it 7 days before the date of travel
Yes you can fill out the Authorization form before the test, within 7 Days of travel. The test must be completed within 3 Days of travel and if there is question as to what day is the earliest there is a test date calculator on the website.
Thanks a million Caribbean wayze you guys prob don't know you help lots of people stressful knowing it has 2 b done certain days b 4- tickets bought- only 2 b denied etc blessings blessings 2 you and your families " we neva miss de wata till de well run dry " 🇯🇲🇯🇲
COVID has made everything different and the unknown is scary and confusing ! We are so glad to be able to help people get back to Jamalca ! Thank you and blessings to you !
Thanks for this useful information. How long did it take to get a response for authorization?
My response was immediate however it can take 24-36 hours .
how do you fill in the address when you are joining a cruise ship, there is no way to do it as far as we can see
What if your doing a layover flight would from Jersey to Miami , to Jamaica … where it ask you where are you traveling from should I put Miami , Or jersey ?
Miami
How many days did it take for you to get your test results back? My fiancé and I are traveling to Jamaica for our honeymoon on the 31st and can't decide if we need to rapid test or not in order to get our results back in time.
It very much depends on where you go to get the test and what type of test you are taking and it certainly can be confusing. I did not do the rapid test, I did the oral test and was concerned as well, but I got it back in 48 hrs. The rapid tests however ARE acceptable as Kong as it’s a certified test from a certified lab.
@@CaribbeanWayz I have noticed that some of the rapid tests available collect a sample by only swabbing about one inch up your nose. From my research this does not count as a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal style test specified by the Jamaican travel website. Do you know which style test you received or if this is strictly enforced?
@@scottbarrow1147 the visit jamaica website specifically states the types of tests accepted and the documentation required. If you follow that protocol you will not have an issue.
And yeah, bearing in mind that a Kenyan passport holder does not need a visa to go to Jamaica
I have two question...when is the best time to do this form? going in March 2022
And do I need to have a covid test if I'm vaccinated and had my booster?
The form must be filled out within 7 Days of travel and all people visiting must have a negative Covid test taken within 3 days of travel. Subscribe and ring the bell for updates and thank you for watching !
I got a Form B, not C like you did. The only difference from me is I’m staying at a “private home” but it’s really an Airbnb and they’re telling me I have to quarantine and not leave 😢
It is true if you are not staying at a Certified Resort the protocols are different. You will need to quarantine for 8 days if you are vaccinated or 14 if you are not. However, if your residence is in the certified resilient corridor you will be able to go on Covid certified tours at that time. Jamaica is doing a fantastic job of trying to keep their visitors and residents as safe as possible during this difficult time .
@@CaribbeanWayz mine is along the corridor. I’m staying in Montego Bay. Do you know anyone else who happened to get a form B and we’re allowed to take taxis and go to beaches?
@@JoeyDNetsfan on the Visitjamaica.com website under the Main Menu there is a “Contact Us” tab. I recommend contacting them directly with the information of where you will be staying and they will get back to you with accurate information. If you do not receive an answer let me know and I will try to reach an source that may be able to help you .
Oh no, same situation. Staying at Air BNB it's not on the list 😔 I contacted them and they emailed back immediately. Even though negative test and vaccinated you still have to quarantine 8 days. My trip is 6 days so that's my whole trip😭 I leave Sunday
@@spcteddi03 I’m so sorry you didn’t know about this sooner ! This pandemic has certainly changed the dynamics of traveling and policies continue to change.
Excellent video, thank you! I will be traveling with my husband and 2 kids. Do you know if I have to fill out a form separately?! Thanks.
Each person must fill out the authorization form. When you fill it out for your family member you click filling it out for someone else. Thanks for watching !
@@CaribbeanWayz hi
Am sending my granddaughter do I have to fill out my name on there also? Thanks
You will fill it out for her and click I am filling out for someone else instead of self .
When declaring luggage do you happen to know if it’s strictly checked bags or checked bags and “personal items” which are considered luggage? Great video and thanks for this helpful content!
According to my source at the Jamaica Tourist Board The personal items do not count as a piece of luggage. Thank you for watching and subscribing to our channel! Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲
@@CaribbeanWayz thanks so much. Exactly 14 days today!!
You’re welcome ☺️ Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲
We are going in January 2022. When do we do the travel authorization form?
You can fill it out within 7 days and have your Covid test within 3 according to current protocol Subscribe and ring the bell to be notified of updates ! Thank you for watching ! 🇯🇲
I'm traveling with a big family group. Does each person have to fill one out or can they be include on one form
Each person must fill out the form and you will add the others traveling with to each form . Enjoy Jamaica and Thanh you for watching !
Hi I have a flight to Jamaica Friday March 4 at 10:34 am and did my Covid test Tuesday the first at 1:15 pm. Is that acceptable?
Yes, there is a test date calculator on the website and the time the test is taken is irrelevant. Thank you for watching our channel and Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!!!
I’m having problems to fill it out I don’t know why 😩and I’m travel on Saturday .
What troubles are you having ?
My intended date is in 2 weeks but I’m trying to apply but I don’t see the date available. Is it too soon to apply or should I call ? If so do you know an exact number
The form needs to be filled out within 7 days of travel , thank you for watching and enjoy your trip to Jamalca !!
I see that it asks how many family members are traveling with you. We have a large party traveling, many of which are family members. Do I need to count all of them, or just the family members in my booking?
Each family unit should include the persons within that unit . Enjoy your trip to beautiful Jamaica !
@@CaribbeanWayz great. And also, it asks what state we are traveling from. The airport that we are traveling from is in a different state from where we live. Which state should we use?
I entered the airport I was traveling from in that section and it was accepted . Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!!!!
Thanks for the information me and my wife are traveling this month is it mandatory for us to fill out this from even though we're fully vaccinated ? We're residence from the Bahamas
All persons must fill out the form and receive a test regardless of where you are from . Enjoy Jamaica and thank you for watching !!! 🇯🇲
thank you this was so helpful, do you know if one needs to refill it if there's a mistake , i put spirit airline instead of american airline?
The airline change will not affect the authorization, as long as the other information is all accurate you will be fine.
Thanks for this informative video! I am nervous if I pick the correct place to get my COVID test. I went to the CLIA laboratory lookup and see the clinic that I’m going to is on there but when I click on it I see it has a CLIA number but a waiver is in there status. Is this still an approved lab?
As long as it is a CLIA certified lab and the CLIA number is on the result page you will be fine . Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!!!!!
Is their any reason why a person will be denied a Travel Authorization form?
I submitted my application for the Jamaica authorisation to travel yesterday and I am still waiting..,should I do it again?
Please let me know if you have an update otherwise I will try to get you a number of someone to contact .
@@CaribbeanWayz ok I will do. I was going to contact Jamaica embassy on Monday and to see if they can sort it out as I have a Jamaican passport 🇯🇲
What if your traveling with a friend, can you fill out the authorization form for them? And is the rapid and antigen test the same?
There is an option “ I am filling out this form for someone else “. There is a Rapid Antigen test that is accepted . Thank you for watching, please subscribe and enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!!
Hi pleeeeease help me. So does the authorization form have to be filled out 7 days or 72 hours prior to my flight ? I’m so confused
Within 7 Days you must fill out the travel authorization and within 3 days you must get a Covid test. Please visit the website for full details, a link to the form and a test date calculator . Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!!
Hi again!!! My approved Travel Authorization form was attached as a PNG. It looks exactly like the one you have in your video. Just wondering if its supposed to be a PNG and that's okay, as i know you have been there many times. The actual email, which says it was approved also says: Click here to view your Travel Authorization certificate, but when you click 'here' you are just brought to the Visit Jamaica website, ie: there isnt a way to view your application online. I'm asking this because i realise the barcode of a PNG is kind of small. So is the PNG standard? Thanks!
All of mine were png files. Make sure to print it off and Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲! Thank you for watching our channel .
@@CaribbeanWayz Thanks a million.
What's the difference between a PCR test and antigen test? Will it affect you getting in or not?
Both types of tests are accepted. Please refer to the link on the visitjamaica.com website for full details and a test date calculator as well as the link to fill out the travel authorization form .
@@CaribbeanWayz Oh, I see. So whether or not I submit an antigen or PCR, as long as it's negative and I have the authorisation form, I can get in?
There is no difference in protocol between antigen and PCR tests?
As long as the test meets the requirements stated on the website that is correct . Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!
@@CaribbeanWayz Thank you. I'll get a PCR test done just in case.
Great video; Its not letting me put in the travel date
Thank you ! Perhaps try a different browser ? Google chrome ?
How do I know if my test will be accepted? I took a PCR test today. Flying on Saturday.
The Website has clear instructions of what types of tests are accepted check it out here www.visitjamaica.com/travelauthorization/test-req/
Hi, thanks for this. What should I put for Departure Port, as I am flying from Ireland (my original airport) and have a layover in Germany. Should I put Frankfurt as the Departure Port or Dublin? Dublin does not do direct flights to Jamaica. Thanks
According to our source from The Jamaica Tourist Board you should put the airport of the flight arriving into Jamaica . Thank you for watching our channel and Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!
@@CaribbeanWayz I didnt do that, i said the port of original departure, Dublin. For Europeans, we do a layover in another country like France or Germany. I will keep you posted on the advice i get and whether it gets approved...fingers crossed!
On the question Traveling from country, state, city: I live in KY but will fly out of Nashville TN, with a layover in Miami Florida going to Jamaica. What should I put on the question??? Nashville or Miami? Thank you #caribbeanwayz

Thank you so much so helpful. I’m going on September 18th (from Germany but I live in Belgium). So which date I have to complete this authorisation? And I also will stay in different hotels/resorts (all on the list in their website visiting Jamaica); can I put there in the form different places or just the first one?

@@CaribbeanWayz thank u. Can’t wait to be there 😊😊😊😊
How many days before you go do you have to file the travel authorization?
Within 7 days of travel you need to fill out the authorization form .
I’m concerned about my name , I have middle name I put it in the middle name category . But on my password my first name and middle name is on the same line . On my approval it doesn’t show my middle name . Will that be problem . This video was very helpfull

Where it says about people you are travelling with does it give the option too add numerous individuals or do you do this whole process per individual?
It will ask you to put the people you are traveling with on your authorization but you still need to fill it out for each person and include the others on each application. Enjoy Jamaica !
@@CaribbeanWayz great thank you so much!
Hi do you know if i have to do a covid test at the resort 3 days before i leave jamaica is there any fees?
Currently to return to the US you are required to have a negative Covid test within 3 days of returning. Many resorts are offering them at no cost, you will need to check with your particular resort or Travel Agent. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for updates :)
I booked 2 rooms because my mother in law and her husband are meeting us there. Currently the reservation is only in my name. Do they need to be added to the reservation for authorization?
If the hotel didn’t require their names for the reservation that is fine it’s a separate issue. They will still be required to fill out an authorization form it will not be an issue as far as the form goes . Thank you for watching, Enjoy Jamaica 🇯🇲!
My husband has chronic heart disease so we obviously need to answer yes to the chronic health condition question. Will that stop him from being approved for travel?
Thank you for watching. Although I can’t say for sure whether it will affect the approval I can say that very few people are denied and it is doubtful they will deny him .

Do you need to be vaccinated to go to Jamaica?
We are going in January.
Not at this time, however you do need a Covid test .
How long did it take for you to get your covid test result?
I got mine within 2 days, every location has different options for testing sites and turnaround time. I have looked at several places for the Covid testing. Do you know of any specific place that prints the requested information as required? Ex. CVS or Walgreens? Where did you test? I know someone who took the test 3 times because all the required info wasn't listed.
Personally I am in Florida and was able to find a Covid test site that was certified and free. Every State/City is different and trust me I know it is a difficult process. I did a search of where to get a Covid test near me and the site I used came up. Make sure it is a test site that uses a CLIA or ISO certified lab. I have heard of people using CVS and Walgreens and having them accepted but you would need to verify at your particular location what information will be on the result. Most of them email your results with all of the information printed on the form.
@@CaribbeanWayz thank you
You’re welcome ! Enjoy your trip to sweet Jamaica !
We're traveling in july with our kids, if we're staying at a resort we still can go to the beach right? Or we need to spend 8 days in a hotel? Our trip is just 10 days.
As long as the resort is on the list (and most major resorts are ) you do not have to quarantine. The curfew hours do apply so off site excursions will need to be within the hours not on curfew but the beach and activities at the resorts are fully functional . Enjoy your trip to Jamaica 🇯🇲!!!!

All areas have different tests available. The test requirements are as follows:
o The Ministry of Health And Wellness has expanded the list of acceptable tests. PCR tests done at an approved laboratory are accepted.
o Antigen tests that meet the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) / Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) or have been authorized United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will be accepted.
o Antibody tests will NOT be accepted

Do you have to print out your questioner with the code on it or just show them your email from your phone, is there a 14 day quartine once I get there
It is best to print the form. If you are staying in an approved property in the resilient corridor there is no quarantine however Jamaica does have curfew times that must be followed.
Hi Robyn thanks for the video, it was really helpful. Is the travel authorization process same for US Permanent Residents? Do they need a visa as well? Also do they get approved as quickly as US Citizens? Thanks!
This information is from the Counselate General :
Nationals or citizens of other countries (with the exception of TAIWAN) who are permanent residents of the United States may enter Jamaica as tourists without visas, but must travel with the following in their possession: ... Round-trip tickets to the USA or onward tickets to another destination.

How do you find the test on the mouth.?
Every area is different, you will need to research your particular area for an accepted mouth test.

Anxious about my children getting the nasopharygeal covid testing before leaving Jamaica to come home. Are those the only kinds of tests available, and are the staff accomdating to children at all with testing?
Currently we have not been able to find oral testing available in Jamaica to return to the US, it seems only the nasopharyngeal tests are available. Each facility is different in what the test is like. I was in Jamaica twice last month, the first one was done in both nostrils but fairly quick and easy. The second One was only one nostril and was barely inserted, it was a piece of cake! I understand your concern my best advice is to be positive when talking with your children about it to not create anxiety on their part . Tell them its quick And easy and everyone is having it done .
