1:00:14 and for 55 seconds thereafter, not sure if I have ever in my middle aged life, heard such perfect guitar playing. Everything and more exactly in the right places! He melts your face, thing with him, he is so beyond good half your face is off before you know it! This dude is bloody amazing. Wow, thank you.
I like Danny Gatton's music, 88 Elmira Street, Funhouse, what i've heard of it, but i like the covers they are playing here more. They really put a cool spin on some songs and stay very true to originals at times too. Doesn't hurt that you have a killer singer and perfect drummer, in my opinion.
Danny's real legacy is right here on ripped camcorder footage. The studio albums are a system trying to hem in an artist that can't be defined, for as amazing as they are, you can hear him pushing up against the walls of the medium itself. His ACL performance even is too.. Corporate. He was most comfortable when he could just play.
