I agree with following UA-camrs who have a specific regimen vs product reviews. When I started following more people that kept to a certain regimen, my hair journey completely changed. It sucks because they can be harder to find because they don’t have as many followers as other influencers.
Great Video! I always tell people that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Especially for those growing their hair out after damage. We need to enjoy the journey and simplify our routines and be consistent. I started making my own products and left commercial products alone and my hair has gotten fuller over the past 2 months and I document everything now. It's a beautiful fulfilling relationship of girl and hair.
Thank-you for your comment! It is definitely a marathon, and a fun one at that! So amazing to hear that you make your own products! Do you have a good recipe for a moisturising deep conditioner?
I follow a regimen too. I don’t moisturize my hair for a week cause I use blue magic grease (the clear one not the blue or the green). I wash my hair hair every two weeks to a month. Moisturizing in between each time. I also use Ayurvedic herbs on my wash day. Natural herbs heal my scalp. I going for tailbone length hair.
I’ve been natural for 16 months and my hair is at my boobs. I’m very excited for future growth and I have a simple regular routine. Happy to see so many of us taking care of our hair
So true a good regimen and sticking to it consistently will yield great results. 💜 I used to be in the LHCF as well as the LHC they were and are still helpful. I don't need them for hair care anymore but I do still enjoy just visiting those forums from time to time.
Honestly I've been trying to grow my hair past shoulder length for almost 7 years and nothing seems to stick. I've decided to officially reintroduce heat (blow dry and flat iron), the one thing I havent tried out of fear even though girls with similar hair as me said heat helped them grow their hair. I'll try it for 1-2 years and hope it works for me. Even if I have no improvement in length, my daily and weekly hair care is already a much better experience bc of easier detangling so I feel like I'll probably keep this up long term even if it doesn't lead to growth 💖 Love your channel/videos
@Sandy Cheeks I quit using heat 8 months ago and my hair has literally grown past my bra strap. A few days ago, I got it pressed for an event (wasn’t planning that, but that’s what the stylist ended up doing) and I was shocked!! I’m going to trim it and then go back to no heat.
You definitely have to do what works for you. I'm not averse to using heat either because like you, it does make detangling/upkeep easier and more manageable. I would just say do it as an experiment (maybe 3-6 months) and assess the impact on your hair. That way, you'll have some data on how your hair reacts to heat. After that, you can proceed accordingly :)
I've been washing my hair essentially every 2 weeks. I've worn mostly minitwists consistently, but recently my hair has started to web a bit at the roots and some random fairy knots at a few ends. These are new developments so I think it's time for me to try change it up again. I'm looking to do plaits instead, and also wash my hair weekly again. Very helpful video! Thank you.
Hey, ny hair is growing back. I can see it buttttt... It dries out and hass too much shedding. I'll keep my routine simple now (I tried the wash 1 time/month but I can now I'm washing 1 time every week)
@@jujubean9598 It also depends on you hair's porosity. Not everyone can go 2 weeks without moisturising, even with the best deep conditioner. My hair benefits from being sprayed/rinsed with water multiple times a week. My hair locks very easily, keeping it moisturised makes it easier to detangle when it's time to wash. I've retained more length since wetting my hair multiple times a week.
Just bought her mango and strawberry butter, can’t wait!
Thanks Anita! Hope you are loving them!

@Sandy Cheeks Trimming is necessary. It’s the over trimming that kills you’re hair growth progress.

Hey lovely, we have the same hair texture. How long did it take you to reach this length? How many inches does your hair grow in a month?
Hey Love,
Thanks for your comment!
Hello😊..so do you just finger detangle? No comb?
Hi Love
Hey, I recall you saying you wash pretty much weekly. Do you deep condition weekly too?
I wash every 1-2 weeks :)
I deep condition with every wash
Hello your hair is amazing I did braid with my own hair is that a good hairstyle?
Yes, I think it is
New subs here. Your hair is gorgeous
Hi Fabiola
Thanks for your comment! Welcome!
Unfortunately shea butter makes my hair brittle
What about mango butter?
I thought it was just me 😩
Yeah shea is an occlusive. So it just sits on top.
Oh no way Lola~ Sorry to hear that
I've never had that experience
Are you applying Shea butter alone or using it as a sealant? It is *not* meant to be used alone.
yes all that and msm...
Thanks for your comment!
😘

Hi Milky ~

@@ifshesopleases Yess thanks !
@@ifshesopleases Hello ! My hair is now at chest lenght and I'm still working on my shedding hH
Whats ur hair pattern?
Mostly 4b with some 4a
You don’t moisturize your hair for 2 weeks ?
If you're using a good deep conditioner and good leave in and a sealant..then yes.you don't have to moisturize your hair for at least two weeks.
