This video is much more relatable than the ones showing grand kitchens filled with containers that seem to cost just as much as the kitchen itself.😂 One suggestion, store like items in simple baskets or bins on the open shelving. This will really speed up dusting and you'll find that you can dust more often since it's easier. Taking down a few baskets and doing a quick wipe them is much less tedious than individually removing 5-10 small items per shelf. Thrifted bins are budget friendly. 😊
Thank you for this suggestion! I've been keeping my eyes peeled for narrow containers. There have been a lot of great suggestions here. I'll have to make an updated video at some point!
I’ve must have missed those videos with grand kitchens with containers that seem to cost as much as the kitchen itself! I need to find those grand kitchen videos. I don’t know anyone who would buy any kitchen containers as much as a kitchen costs, though. Lol..
Thank you for actually showing your realistic home and life! Speaking as someone who lives very similar in my own apt, you help me to feel normal not like I’m falling behind.
Storage containers make a huge difference in kitchen and bathroom! Pull the whole container and use what you need and see what you have! Also easy put away. Changed my life!
Your apartment is cute, I love all the built in shelves in the kitchen area. I used to live in a 1940s studio apartment (357 sqft) and it was a pain in the butt going through the deep kitchen cabinets to find expired or forgotten things. Now that I have a condo it's just more things to dust, vacuum, scrub, and I kind of miss living in a smaller place. It's funny how things work out, but it is still satisfying to have things clean and tidy while trying to be slightly minimalistic.
Thank you! It's funny how it works sometimes isn't it. I am definitely appreciative that this space is so small it doesn't take too long to clean. It also gets out of control quickly though because there's nowhere to "hide" all the stuff 😬 Thanks for your comment!
Thank you! It's definitely a challenging space but we make the most of it! We've managed to make a lot of amazing meals in here so I'm grateful for this kitchen 😊
My favorite part of the early winter season is watching the clean and tidy videos. I'm so busy Oct thru Dec, so I am DESPERATE for a reset as soon as the 25th is over.
I even use different size containers in my kitchen drawers to hold small items.I hate opening drawer and having to dig thru everything to find what I need.
I like storage organisers, things still get messy but getting them organised again is way easier, and I can reach things way better. Also when it is done it makes me feel way calmer.
Your place is lovely but very real. This is so much more interesting and helpful than a lot of other videos that are too filtered and have a dream-like aesthetic that I can't achieve. I have a small kitchen too so the bin idea is great. Thank you for this great video!
I'm like you, I would have stopped & gone out for storage bins too. You must have felt so satisfied after all the organizing & cleaning. Nicely done, enjoyed watching it very much.
I truly enjoy seeing your normal kitchen and taking care of it. I love to cook and bake but as you said, it’s always so much dishes and I don’ like that part. I’m thankful for the house we get to rent for very cheap from a friend, but it isn’t pretty to look at and ‘aesthetic’ and that makes it difficult for me to take care of something I don’t love. Good reminder to see you take care of your house!
Thank you so much! I love this comment. You are definitely not falling behind! So many of us live this way, and we're lucky to have a space to call our own. Thank you for watching! ❤️
I love containers to organize, it makes it so much easier to see what you have. I too have a tiny kitchen! Your place is so cute! Love all the shelving and fireplace!
yes to containers! I store medicine, spices, tea bags, pasta and other like items in those, Also a tip if you're storing your dishware in upper cabinets is to keep the large plates on the top shelf. I've always struggled with this bc I can't even see the back of the top shelves unless I stand on a chair - but I refuse to do that daily. So now that I keep the large plates on the top shelf, there's no back row and nothing gets lost up there . Smaller plates and dishes, glasses and mugs can go on the lower (or lower and middle) self in rows, bc I can actually see and access them without much hassle. Loved the video, I'm the same with solutions I 'come up with'. Once I know how I want it I won't do it any other way :D
This reminds me of my own tiny kitchen! I live in a studio apartment in Minnesota, USA, and my space is laid out a bit differently, but similar in size and storage (except for a large storage closet in the entry hall). My fridge is much bigger than yours, but that's an American thing, I think. This was refreshing to watch, because I can't relate to big kitchens, and I also don't have a dishwasher.
I have a small kitchen too and I couldn’t manage without storage containers. I have clear plastic slide out ones, that way I can see what’s there and it makes stuff easier to access if you’re short and the top shelves are too high to see. 😊
Your kitchen reset was fun to watch. It inspired me to tackle my kitchen. I thought it was going to take me 1 day, but alas, it took me 3 full days lol. Secretly looking forward to a smaller kitchen. It is amazing what you have done with yours. Cheers
New viewer and really only bc your thumbnail looked so relatable and I stuck around! But the video was amazing and I have the say, as someone still living with family at 23 I’ve made improvements to our cabinets with storage bins. Specifically with our baking supplies and nuts and chocolate stash. It’s so much easier to just pull the bin out because you can also stack stuff on top of each other without it overflowing everywhere if the bins are deep enough. It’s something I’ll be implementing into my own home when I move out in a few months
What a great video! Thanks so much, it was so relaxing. I would definitely vote yes on storage containers, anything to make your space work better for you. Thanks again!
Hi Grace, I loved this so much. I've just found your channel and have subscribed. I live in Sydney Australia, and I loved seeing a vegemite jar in a kitchen in Ireland, so cool!! I hope you are well and enjoyed your Christmas, thank you for keeping it real and I think you did a brilliant job! XX
Thanks so much for subscribing! So glad you enjoyed the video 😄 I actually lived in Australia for a year (many years ago now haha) which is where I discovered my love of Vegemite. I worked in a cafe in a corporate building and I couldn't believe how much toast we sold 😂 I can remember so clearly my manager teaching me all the different ways people like their Vegemite (just a touch with lots of butter, a bit heavier handed, etc). Thank you for your kind words and Happy New Year! ❤️
Love this realistic look at a reset and totally relate to thinking you can do things quick and it taking MUCH longer haha - and of course filming it for us only adds to that like you said. I'm going to be following along! I def love content like yours. I didn't clean along but I did paint my nails, so thank you for keeping me company ◡̈
Greetings from Woodbridge, New Jersey. I have a little OCD so my pantry has containers, it gives me a sense of organization. I love your tiny studio, it feels so cozy! Idk about Ireland but here in the United States it is sort of an obsession LOL having containers. I love that you make do with what you have and improvise and I agree with you, yes let's normalize a normal living space and kitchen! Thank you for your transparency. Edit: (My multiple mishaps because it came into my feed and assuming you live in UK, brief read Canada, then double checked that you live in Ireland LOL..ADHD kicking my butt LOL, had to changed location multiple times) New Subscriber
Hello! Thank you for your comment! Yes I've seen clips of "The Container Store" in the US 😅 We have a lot less space here in general, containers come in handy but not many people would have big pantries or basements like we do in Canada and the US. Thank you so much for your encouraging words and for subscribing! 😄
Exactly! The moment I saw the ketchup, the sriracha and the other opened jars in the cupboard and not the fridge I lost it😂 oh and the eggs too! Idc, but eggs belong in the fridge!
@@_Amarinother countries do not wash the eggs so there's a natural coating that prevents eggs from spoiling. Google it, you might learn something how rest of the world lives.
@@_Amarin UK and Ireland eggs don't need refrigerating because of the way they're treated on the farm :) the porosity is protected whereas US eggs are treated in a different way.
Not only was I cleaning my kitchen while I watched you clean your kitchen but I was also making a video about cleaning my kitchen. And I showed your video on my tablet in my video. When I get it done I will post a link. Tank you so much for inspiring me..
Just discovered you! I too have an average dwelling so i really enjoyed this video. It gave me some ideas for my space since it’s on the “cozier” side. I also like the length of the vid. It wasn’t too short and not too long. Oh ALSO, i like storage bins ESPECIALLY for places that aren’t at eye level. Can’t wait to see you tackle the bookshelf! Oooh when that happens can you make some book recommendations pls!
That wasn't ketchup. That was the blood of her enemies. Ha! Not sure that stuff would even fit in her fridge. Did you see her fridge? It's gnome sized. But, I have to agree; those items definitely go in the fridge at my house.
Most houses in the UK are tiny and very limited space. I was shocked when i first came visited my now husband. The worst thing about uk home is the two separated hot/cold taps. They do have mixer taps but some places still have the basic stuffs.
we love realistic resets + this glimpse into your world 💓 thank you for sharing ! one thing that may make washing dishes much easier is to just replace the kitchen faucet with one that has a pull down hose / sprayer. you can switch it out yourself if you have some basic tools like a wrench, or have someone do it. then no matter the size of the sink itself, the hose sprayer can get into weird nooks / crannies / odd angles (+ can even spray directly onto the countertop ! it's super functional :)
I also have a very small kitchen, and I used do my dishes at the end of the day, and drip dry like you do, and I too felt like all I could see was dishes, all throughout the day. Last spring I tried doing them after every meal, and crucially, drying them right away (like wash one dish, dry and put it away immediately) and WOW what a difference! I only had visual dishes when I was immediately using them, and the rest of the time I felt like I got my kitchen back! Who knew?!
I'll look into it! It would have to be renter friendly (ie, nothing fully attached to the walls etc). But I would definitely love some more efficient storage space for the dishes! Thanks for your comment!
Thats it, I randomly clicked your video and continued watching the moment you mentioned you are in Ireland, cause am here too :) But the real reason the universe wanted me to watch your video is because of McDowells Curry sauce. I have been on the hunt for curry fries here in Dublin because am hooked on them- lol! so Thanks a million for sharing that vital piece of information!
I try to use storage containers, but then my husband buys in bulk and there's no room, so I go back and forth. I do save nice jars and mason jars to decant rice, etc. when a lot of the stuff in the bags are gone. I like to see how much we have left. I love pretty metal tea cannisters, and I use them not just to hold tea, but my vitamins, which we keep on the counter. (I label the bottoms.) They're just nicer to look at than the original containers.
Amiga creo que se veria mas bonito un escurridor de palitos y tambien funsional con el espacio pequeno Me gusta mucho tu canal y tu forma de conducirte Saludos Texas
New subscriber and great to see a more relatable reset rather than these very large spotless american houses. You might have covered it in a previous video, but would love to know where the handbag at 10:10 is from? It's exactly what i'm looking for 😀
I use containers to store stuff in every room of my house. Not only do they corral like items, the lidded containers keep everything inside clean. Also, containers make transporting stuff quick and easy.
Just discovered your page....was watching and thinking to myself how Canadian you sound and then I clocked your Jamieson Vitamins and French's Mustard. About 5 min later you mentioned Poutine and being Canadian lol. The storage bins are nice...my personal preference would be clear bins so you can actually see what's in them. I look forward to your next video!
That's so funny about the Jamieson Vitamins - good catch! 😅 Ooo yes clear storage bins would be very practical. This time I only had the option of white or grey but I'll keep my eyes peeled for my next project! Thank's for watching!
All projects take longer than you think lol. That kitchen is tiny but very cute. I love seeing homes from around the world because they are all so different and interesting. Yours reminded me of a studio flat I rented in my twenties in England. So cosy! Those bins are great for grouping items and very practical for you. Thanks for sharing.
Watching you from Oregon and I LOVE your tiny apartment! We live in a double wide mobile home that is way too big for just me and my husband. Your apartment is adorable! By the way your catsup (ketchup) should be in the fridge, found that out the hard way, haha
I use some storage containers for the upper shelves because I too am vertically challenged. I keep one with spices and one with medicine and first aid items up there. I don’t use them for the shelves that I can reach easily. In that case I just try to line things up neatly. It’s not Pinterest worthy but that’s why cupboards have doors. ;)

I just found you and have one question do you ever use all four burners on your stove at one time? You'd think that in small apartments a two-burner stove would be sufficient, and you'd gain a bit more counter space. Just curious. Hi from Arizona!
You know what's funny? One of the burners doesn't work haha. I could definitely get away with two burners. Sometimes I use all three but to be honest two would be fine.
Amazing! I used to have a crock pot and I loved it. I really loved making a good slow cooked beef stew in the crock pot. I'm enjoying the Instant Pot these days (I wouldn't have space for both devices). It's been a game changer with how it speeds up cooking time with the pressure cooking.
Tiny is fine, but I nees practical. Like, having a deep and big kitchen sing with a detachable faucet along with a cabinet overhead that has stainless steel dish drying shelves. You don't have to have a pile of clean dishes out AND use that cabinet to store your dishes and cutlery in anyways. Another gripe- using that dead space where those faux drawer fronts are where the sink is. Install a wedge pop out with perforated holes to store your straw cleaners, steel wool scrubbers, and sponges. In my experience the backsplash of a sink is either nothing but a source of endless wiping or made well. Farm style sinks with the lips in the front and the lip at the back are the best.
Very good ideas. I love seeing tiny homes that have all that practical storage set up! Unfortunately in my case I'm renting and we're not allowed to modify anything (like drilling any holes or changing the faucet etc). But I definitely like to gather the types of ideas for the future! I'll keep my eyes peeled to see if there's any vertical storage stuff out there that's renter friendly 👀
@@gracesedits_oop i left a comment offering to switch out the faucet for one with a pull down hose so the sink has further reach for larger items + weird angles ! if you decide that's something that is helpful for you, it's something that is renter-friendly ~ just replace it with the original faucets when ya move out :) but it seems like you have a good system down ! i'm disabled + the faucet hose makes a huge difference for me for accessibility :)
I don't have containers except for spices. I solved the problem by having less stuff in my cabinets 😀😀😀(and I cook almost every meals at home too). The thing is I don't buy ultra processed food (and sauce) and basic ingredients are not that many.
Eggs I knew about. They don’t put their eggs in the fridge but from what I understand they do put them on the countertop. But not in the cabinets. 🤷🏻♀️ Of course my question is the KETCHUP!!! Ketchup ALWAYS goes in the fridge especially AFTER OPENING!! Well, at least here in the States 🇺🇸 and of course our EGGS go into the fridge too but that’s because they (egg companies) wash our eggs first & HAVE TO BE PUT IN THE FRIDGE! She’s Canadian living in Ireland from what I’ve gathered, soooo… I’m not sure how they do things. Also, I live in the South so we do tend to put other stuff in the fridge when SUMMERTIME HITS.🥵 Oops, didn’t mean to write a book.🤭 ✌🏻 Edit: Not sure where you live but I put our stuff in the refrigerator/fridge. Now mustard I don’t put in the fridge because of the amount of vinegar it has in it, but I also use it very fast. I 💛Mustard!☺️
Great question! In Ireland, eggs aren't refrigerated because they aren't washed after being laid, preserving their natural protective coating, whereas in the USA, eggs are washed and lose this coating, requiring refrigeration to prevent contamination. In the grocery stores over here you'll find eggs on the shelves instead of the refrigerator. I first saw this when I lived in Australia many years ago. In Canada we have to store eggs in the fridge because we use the same process as the USA. However, if you buy eggs from your local farmer they are most likely unwashed and wouldn't have to be stored in the fridge 😃
@@1whitecottagelife770 Not in older USA houses, unless someone switches them out. My grandparent’s house that my grandpa built back in about 1947 ALL sinks had 2 faucets, up until sometime in the early 80s. But before then MOST all houses built in America had 2.
Thanks for watching! What did you think of the kitchen cupboards transformation? 🤩 It's definitely my favourite part of the video!

I clean the fridge parts inside the shower. It is easy! Hi from Ibiza, Spain. 😊
Good job ❤
Thanks so much! ❤️
Amiga creo que se veria mas bonito un escurridor de palitos y tambien funsional con el espacio pequeno
Me gusta mucho tu canal y tu forma de conducirte

New subscriber and great to see a more relatable reset rather than these very large spotless american houses. You might have covered it in a previous video, but would love to know where the handbag at 10:10 is from? It's exactly what i'm looking for 😀
I use containers to store stuff in every room of my house. Not only do they corral like items, the lidded containers keep everything inside clean. Also, containers make transporting stuff quick and easy.
Love this! It's amazing how much easier it is to keep things clean when everything is organised in their own space! Thanks for watching 😃
Ooo yes clear storage bins would be very practical.
I loves the video but please put your open condiments in the fridge, ketchup, sauces, etc. Read the label. It will mold, be careful not to get sick
It’s not Pinterest worthy but that’s why cupboards have doors. ;)
I also am in constant dish cycling (no dishwasher). I got an over the sink dish drying rack and gain a lovely amount of counter space.
A few people have mentioned an over the sink dish drying rack! I'm definitely going to look into it 😄
I can relate to your kitchen size 😊
Great organizing tips here, good content to sgare 👍 😊
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful 😃
Like this video 😊. Thank you 😊
Glad to see the Heinz Ketchup!
New subscribe also storage bins are a much needed item to organize
In The UK you get take out with the curry sauce on your chips and rice already xx
Happily subscribed to support your channel ✨️
Thank you so much!
Besides the fabulous reset. I was wondering about your purse? I loved it with the bigger strap. Do you have a link?
Nice job! I'm always a little surprised though when people clean from the bottom up. Didn't anyone ever tell you to do it top down because gravity?
Good job i live in 388 sq foot place peaceful.
Hello I'm a new subscriber and I live in a small space to,so I'm getting some ideas from you❤.
Thanks for subscribing! I hope these videos are useful for your space too! 💕
Hi :) I'm new here! I enjoyed your video and I would like to start using storage containers
Hi just found your channel, I was wondering as you have a small kitchen what are your essential kitchen items and how do you store them. Heather
💟

I enjoyed your video. You a very nice voice!
Thank you! 😃
Storage bins are awesome btw, next time try clear it’s just easier to see things 😊
I crockpot my bone broth for 24 -48 hours.
Amazing! I used to have a crock pot and I loved it. I really loved making a good slow cooked beef stew in the crock pot. I'm enjoying the Instant Pot these days (I wouldn't have space for both devices). It's been a game changer with how it speeds up cooking time with the pressure cooking.
He'll noooo , no storage unit/container or basket is a hindrance , you need some now for all your vitamins 😂❤
Nice kitchen!
Thanks, it's a work in progress! 😄
Love your name. My daughters are named Grace & Audrey.
No way! Haha I love it ❤️
I line my drawers with a piece of newspaper and a piece of paper towel, and it draws away moisture and keeps the draws clean
I USE CONTAINERS FOR THINGS LIKE SACHETS, BOTTLES, OR LITTLE THINGS TO BE GROUPED. BUT I STACK BOWLS, TUPPERWARE, BOXES, ETC. ON THEIR OWN.
I generally don’t keep that much food on hand to need storage containers, but I think it all turned out nice.
I don't have containers except for spices.
I solved the problem by having less stuff in my cabinets 😀😀😀(and I cook almost every meals at home too).
The thing is I don't buy ultra processed food (and sauce) and basic ingredients are not that many.
Great video, but… did you have a carton of six eggs in your pantry?!?
Also, I live in the South so we do tend to put other stuff in the fridge when SUMMERTIME HITS.🥵
Oops, didn’t mean to write a book.🤭 ✌🏻
Edit:
Not sure where you live but I put our stuff in the refrigerator/fridge. Now mustard I don’t put in the fridge because of the amount of vinegar it has in it, but I also use it very fast. I 💛Mustard!☺️
@ thanks! After I posted that I wondered if they had “farm” eggs that aren’t washed. But yeah… ketchup in the fridge.
How long has your jars been in fridge when out of date
Egg carton in the cabinet. I hope there are no eggs in it. What is going on here?
@gracesedits_ very interesting! Thank you for the explanation😊
Why do you have 2 kitchen faucets?
Hot and cold water
@@sammysrambles In the USA they combine them in 1 faucet. And you get as warm or as hot or cold water as you wish
@@1whitecottagelife770 Not in older USA houses, unless someone switches them out. My grandparent’s house that my grandpa built back in about 1947 ALL sinks had 2 faucets, up until sometime in the early 80s. But before then MOST all houses built in America had 2.
If you’re going to use the word Aesthetic, use it correctly and in the correct context.
A very unorganised kitchen. I couldn’t live like that. I would be embarrassed if it was my kitchen.
That’s so funny. I’d be embarrassed to leave a comment like yours.
@@sophiademureI thought the same thing😊
