There are no reported cases of people getting sick from raw flour. It is a possibility since raw wheat isn't treated before grinding according to the fda.
I’ve lost my slicer for the layered chocolate cake. How many layers do you cut in yours? I can do it with a string, but I had open heart surgery I sold my house, contents included and moved in with my children. I think I’m going to make one for Thanksgiving. I have children that don’t like pumpkin so we are going to make miniature pumpkin chiffon pies. Let my little granddaughter do that we’re gonna buy the little tiny mini pie pans.
You can call them what you want I don’t care but please use a real big woman spatula to get every drop. It looks delicious and I’ll probably double that topping when I make it. 😂

The sour cream makes cake hold the moisture.
I use vanilla bean yogurt in place of oil. Very moist cake

*yes, to not scrape the last several spoonfuls of batter from bowls is simply wasteful.
I thought the same thing, so much was left in the bowls - I use a spatula and get almost every bit. I will be trying this cake out though.
I don't scrape the bowls much either so I can eat the leftover batter while the cake bakes.😂
