Playing piano is one of the most complicated instruments on earth. Playing a full Tool songs it's hard as hell. Playing a full Tool album on piano it's just another level man, congratulations Your timings are flawless and the interpreatation of vocals and the bass and guitar are amazingly accurate aswell, i've noticed a few changes from the original tracks in melodies that you had to change a bit to be played in piano but i also checked my personal favourites or the ones i know every single note of, and damn man, you're accurate as fuck. Your concentration level is just alien, how can you read and play such a masterpiece at the same time? Even tho you don't sound like a robot playing i can feel how much you enjoy it aswell and that makes me so happy, please take care of your fingers and never stop, this things inspire people and the world need more people like you!. Im suscribing to see further material, hope to hear some of your own sometime! You rock! PD: im amazed by the timing (Do you hear the songs in your head while playing it?) XD
Thanks so much; really appreciate those words!! So, I'm actually listening to the songs in one ear as I play. The first few I did, I set up a click track but I soon found the best way to do it is just play along with the actual songs. There's some original work I did with bands on the channel, but here's an original piano composition I've done: ua-cam.com/video/W4WqqSyN2C4/v-deo.html
I cannot stop listening to Parabol. It's so beautiful how the melodies intertwine. It's just like they would remind of their presence exactly when you are about to realise they are gone. Amazing work, thank you!
He literally looks like he didn’t practice and he’s just reading his iPad. I’m inspired. That’s amazing. I haven’t played in 23 years and I’m getting back into it and this gives me somewhere to start. I just have to relearn reading music 😃
You are one amazing human!!! I bought a used piano years ago. I just can't learn a thing. Tool is my favorite band of all time. I sometimes think about their songs and "dream" about playing them on piano. I had no idea you have already done this very thing....and you seem to be one of the best pianists on earth!!!! Do you teach piano???? I would kill to have someone like you teach me. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world! 😊
Hey, thanks so much for all the kind words and compliments!!! Really really appreciate that! Thank you 🙏 🙂 I have taught here and there but it’s not my forte, and of course depends on the dedication of the student as well. That said, I do have all the sheet music available on my website and would be happy to help with any tips or pointers: colineverall.com/sheet-music/
Ive seen loads of tool covers on different instruments and i have to say your up there with the likes of ernesto shnack and john kew its simply stunning i would yhink the entire tool army would love to see an accoustic steel guitar piano and drums it might just not literally break the internet but the fabric of tine space and reality which i think after 2020 we could all do with it. Simply superb your skills passion and touch is out of this world
Phenomenal! Dude you are crazy talented. Gonna save these videos to play as background music for work in stressful days. Thanks so much for posting! Can’t wait to check out your other stuff.
the original? UA-cam tool piano guy approves of this video. Listening to disposition right now. Think i'm going to go learn it. Such a beautiful song, all the notes/harmonics/melodies weave together so perfectly. Great job man. Watch the weather change
Bro I’m a hugh tool fan and you make it sound so good. I listen to all the songs when I want to relax with some of the greatest piano playing I have ever heard. Keep it up. 🔥😎
@@wimmelien I haven't gotten anything up yet, as I got occupied with transcribing and playing Fear Inoculum, but that album is almost finished, so will get on that soon!
Thanks so much man! 🤘🤘 I worked on all 3 albums together and from starting notation until now, it’s been close to 2 years and far too many broken strings.
Sorry to leave a negative comment on a positive video, you should look at your improving your recording technique for the audio side of things, your performance is great but the audio quality seems to be lacking somewhat, muddied and lacking tonal qualities that you'd want, if you have a digital piano that might be the cheap way to go, everything else is great though, I just thought the recording could be better. Good work!
Tool must be made aware of this epicness...
jjoorro best kind of feedback! Thanks so much 🤘
When you like rock music but your parents want you learning piano
Nice pfp

What Renzo said! I've listened to Colin so many times at work when I'm in the mood for TOOL which is almost always. Thanks Colin!
Perfectly worded! The two melodies played simultaneously in lateralus, holy cow. My heart exploded lol.

The TOOL rabbit hole giveth... Thanks for this one, good sir! Nice work
Reflection pulled me in and I couldn’t look away.
If there were no desire to heal
The damaged and broken met along
This tedious path I've chosen here
I certainly would've walked away by now
Gonna wait it out
The all and the ever, the ever and the all. I bend the knee
Lateralus is my favorite album of all time. This is so beyond amazing. Just so beautiful. Amazing job.

I loved The Patient, that fit perfectly with the piano
Wow this album translates really well to piano... they all do, but this one sounds awesome-er 😎
You are amazing! I love to see someone doing what they love passionately
Unbelievable
You’ve pushed the envelope and tore it in half! ❤
This is phenomenal!
Image this being played four handed, so the vocals and lead guitar can both have a prominent role.
I would go see you in concert
So talented! Glad I stumbled across this channel

¡Lateral!
I wouldn't be surprised if you get the tap to open for TOOL in the future.
That would be the dream. Or a Vegas lounge act with Maynard 😅
This piano is now a tool
If I was to buy a ballerina music box this is what it would sound like. Put me right to sleep.
This is the best comment I have seen this year so far 🤟👏👏
i someone told me there is entire tool album played on piano i would never believe him
Haha thanks 😅 there’s 4!
!!!!!
If Trent Reznor ever joned Tool.....
Do you have a midi file of this piece?
Dude get yourself a nice camera and lens, some nice lighting, a good angle, and get into the sound production. You’ll have a million subs in 6 months.
Why did you add the Grudge into this?
This deserves better sound quality
Needs more cowbell
Do you have a tik tok broskie, id love to use you music for sounds on my vids
I'm going to start one soon. The audio is streamable from SoundCloud: soundcloud.com/colineverall
