Right there with you, since 7th grade when Undertow was released. No matter how many times I listen to this band, it never gets old and always blows my mind.
hahaha ha ha. Man I hope that is true, but since I have seen them on 3 different tours in 3 different countries since FI, I was thinking they only had some "ideas" ...... and it would easily be a decade. Thankfully Danny has enough $$$ to get the strong "muscle relaxant" cream for seniors ;) He is going to need it is my bet. Luv Tool and am so thankful they are around. Any of the last 5 (Ae, Sal, Lat, 10,000, FI) ..... literally any of those albums would have been the #1 album of all time for me. The men are master composers, with the patience and dedication to bring it all to fruition.
@@cafetrey depression is a heavy burden to carry. It all has to do with raising your vibration. We are shifting from 3d to 5d, it's called the "ascension". That is why there is so much turmoil emotionally. Oh yeah check out Invincible by Tool it's a masterpiece.
Here I thought that watching someone who doesn’t know tool listen to tool for the first time was the best thing ever. Turns out watching a lifelong tool fan listen to a new version of an old tool song for the first time is just as good if not better
Without a doubt the best band I have ever heard in my 28 years on this earth. Tool forever!! For anyone interested in learning more about this amazing band and its members and history.... please check out the documentary on my channel!! Much love, spiral out!!
Been listening to tool since the video for sober dropped on head bangers ball back in 93 if I remember right maybe 92 not sure,so many years ago. And I still have the tool wrench shirt.
Theres more good music now than ever the issue is that UA-cam and streaming is a double edged sword now that record companies and radio stations are not The Gatekeepers anymore there is just a lot more music which means there's a lot more garbage but there's also a lot more good stuff the problem is that it's a lot harder to sift through now. Because there's just so much. And there's nobody deciding what we like for us
TOOL is one of my favorite bands on the Planet. It's been a few minutes since I listened the original version so I'm going to have to go back and refresh my earholes for a proper comparison.
They've tried to get Tool to score movies but they have a hard no stance on using their music in films. I have a feeling that will change in the future
I love the original so much the only thing I'm on the fence on this remake is slowing it down cause for me it looses the anger and passion of the original. I LOVE the ending tho

The bit at 7:10 feels like diving in to a cool blue lagoon on a tropical island
Right!
Greatest band on planet. I hear they have 5 completed songs for the next album using this theme.
That would be sick!

Love the dancing Maynards.
😉
They are performing this live. First time I heard it was a couple months before it released. They also do an Extended Stinkfist version.
Oh My GOD
They been playing this version for over a decade live fyi
I guess I've been unlucky, and it wasn't on the setlist the last few times I saw them. Gives me something to look forward too.
I've listened bto this version a hundred times and I'll can do is smile and nod my head man. great video 🙏
Thank you! I get that feeling completely.
depression is worrying about the past
anxiety is worrying about the future
peace = live in the now!!!
Extremely well said!

Thank you! It's great to see bands elevate songs that they did in the past.

Love the reaction, especially to the new parts. 5:06 keeps me coming back, had the same reaction to the new intermission. Stay safe brother.

Me too. I miss Headbangers Ball. I remember sneaking out of bed to watch it because it came on so late.
@@cafetrey same here absolutely loved MTV when they actually had music on it.
I’m starting to lose all faith in some of the new music coming out, but it’s good to know Tool/ Maynard are still pumping out material.
I agree. There are some diamonds out there but a lot of it sounds repetitive.

Hint.. There is no comparison

Hopefully it does change. They are way too talented to not do it.
I just want to listen to Tool. Yep, Tool.
You read my mind
Three top bands IMO... Faith no More, Tool, Panfuckingtera!!! And yes... I did get goosebumps from hearing this the first time.
Don't forget Mr Bungle 🤣
@@cafetrey dude... they are In a class all be themselves!!! When it comes to Mike Patton there is none better!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏿🤘

They both have their place with me after I listened to this version a few times. Listening to the Opiate album is just special on its own.
🤟
🤘🔥🤘
Have you heard Jinjer?
The only band that might race against tool in terms of the word WOW
Been a big fan of Jinjer for a bit now. They are something else for sure.
Friggin roto toms.......
